Wi-Fi Only Model - £500
UK Launch will have Flash at Launch - Android Central
If you take the VAT off and convert to USD - WiFi + 3G=$780 / WiFi Only=$650

I'm a bit confused by this. Didn't motorola say the wifi only model would be 600 USD? I'm going to be bummed if its in the 700's. Perhaps this is only a placeholder seeing as it got pulled

Sorry, that is a direct currency conversion from GBP into USD, not an accurate USD price.

Yeah, typically the EU or UK price is higher than the direct conversion. I would guess convert and then take 15% off. I bet it will be $599

so when do we get it here
im sick of waitingg

This is about right. People freak out when they do a straight currency conversion from GBP to USD or EUR to USD, but they fail to recognize that there is often VAT and other taxes included in the GBP price.
It should be noted that based on the Engadget article that I read that the 449GBP price is 50GBP cheaper than the 32gb iPad in the UK.
Edit: Thought I'd add I did the conversion based on the 449GBP price, removing the VAT and converting to USD, we're looking at a retail price of ~$583USD, which lines up with what we've heard about a $600USD WiFi price.

Okay sweet! Very excited to get my hands on one of these things. I've already gone to use the tablet in store three times bsessed:

Its been priced again, this time by Dixons at £499.99 (which if you take off the VAT and convert to USD is $653)
They say this:
Due for release in the 1st week of April (date TBC), if you order from us today you'll be the first in Europe to receive one.

ahh, yes. The 'free' 4G upgrade for existing Xoom owners will really be $699.
I got an e-mail from Staples today showing the Xoom Wifi @ $499, with $50 off coupon to use in-store.
I've gone through 3 Honeycomb tablets and came to the conclusion I hate Honeycomb... but dang, a 32GB 10 inch tablet for $450 is almost tempting...
Ugh... must wait for Ice Cream Sandwich... avoid evil temptations... sooo hard...
If anyone wants a $50-off Staples coupon for the Xoom, mine is below.
It's supposed to be in-store only (print out the coupon and bring it in), but you can try the code online to see if it works. Deal ends after this Saturday, Jul 9.

here's the coupon....
I bought mine today..... traded in my Acer a500 and paid the difference and it was well worth it!!!!
Verizon has a the best deal, you could by a Refurb Xoom for $280 plus a 2 year contract. Best deal i have seen around. Just helping the budget conscious developers.

Not exactly a deal then. In my opinion.
I got my xoom wifi around the middle of July at Staples with a coupon worth $100. I only paid $400.

+1...and now Best Buy has most Xoom accessories at 50% off.
Bought one too ...
I took advantage of the $100 off Staples coupon and the result, I paid £264 as opposed to £479 in the UK thanks to the kindness of a friend who visited the US recently. Rip-off UK is truly alive and well ... and at this price it was a no brainer ;-) The 16GB Asus would only have been £185 as opposed to £379, but they were clearly VERY popular and not in stock.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus ad says it will hit Verizon on November 29, to cost $199.99

Samsung Galaxy Nexus ad says it will hit Verizon on November 29, to cost $199.99
Nobody is really sure what it means at the moment, but we definitely know the ad showing the Verizon Galaxy Nexus for $199.99 is real. As in, It's not fake since it's showing up on Android sites across the web (we've spotted it here at AP, at Phandroid, and DroidForums to name a few). These ads are run by NetShelter, which is a premium advertising network that deals directly with carriers and manufacturers and does not mess around - we know them all too well.
Clicking Learn More goes to this page that doesn't list the Galaxy Nexus, so either someone pressed the Launch button a bit too early or the ad was scheduled ahead of time and someone forgot to postpone it due to all the recent delays. One thing stands out, however - $199.99 is about $100 cheaper than we thought the Nexus would go for. Of course, it may be a holiday promotion, but hey - we'll take it.

Note the tag "cmp=BAC-OM-111129-HOLIDAYSAMSUNG" in the Learn More url, which seems to point at a mysterious 11/29 date. Could it be the date the sale will go online? In that case, we're definitely seeing it prematurely.

That's a pretty damn good deal. Hopefully it's true!
Sounds great, this will be much easier to justify, hopefully amazon does it for 1cent.

That will probably be for the 16 GB version. $299 will be for the 32 GB version.

That seems more realistic.
Unless, Verizon wants to bet Google how much better they can sell the Nexus phones, to make them the only retailer to carry it...

I thought it was already determined the 32gb version was the US LTE version? Then again...everything about this phone is rumored.

I agree, especially if this info is any indicator. The page previously had storage listed as 16GB, but has since changed it to 32GB.
So, I think it's a good chance that $199 may hold up.

G-Tab 16GB Wi-Fi for $349 at Walmart (YMMV)

Walmart's substituting the G-Tab for the Acer Iconia where they are out of stock. If you live near a Walmart it might be worth it to check it out.

I got mine with the 100 dollar staples coupon, so 400 wasn't that bad...
On another note, that's a hell of a consolation prize, would any one want an Acer Iconia over a G-Tab?
Price matched Blackberry Playbook for $199 at Walmart. Then returned it for Galaxy Tab + $12 gift card

OK, just to make you all feel better, I paid $750 for my 32GB 3G UK Tab. I'm also only paying $20 for unlimited data and MMS so I'm recouping some of what I paid with each month that passes. The good news is when I go to sell it I can list it on eBay in the UK and get much more for it than I would here in the U.S.

Was this ever intended to be launched in the UK?

Have seen contradictory info online as to if this will ever appear in the UK?
Just buy it from oppostyle.com, free DHL Express shipping.I don't think they'll be opening a store though yet.
I doubt Oppo will have direct retail or distribution in Europe or North America. Absolutely, no way. Why? Look at the content below, the wall charger and headphones are literally EXACT duplication of Apples. Apple would have them thrown in court faster than you can blink.
Oppo aspiration is just to be a small time shop in the safety of their home country, China.

They have lots of stores in China, and a few in Thailand. I don't see what the charger has to do with anything, they could be buying from the same OEM. And they are far from "small time" either,to aspire for international presence doesn't mean they're a small company. Ask Pantech,or Huawei,or Gigabyte.
Will there be customs taxes for England and how much would that be?

Check out that site, keep in mind that OPPO declares a lower value for your device (I believe it was 250$ ?).

I got confused a lil bit with the result. What does the Total Landed Cost mean? Will it be the handset's price (399dollars) + shipping (30dollars for example) + the total taxes? Or just the taxes? Cos the total result i am getting is kinda too much!
If bought from Hong Kong rather direct from China I assume it will have an English language option?
Also will it get any kind of update support I assume not outside the region?
Total landed cost is the declared value(!!which is lower than what you pay for it!!) plus taxes.
You should look at Total import duty & taxes due.
Here's what I did for you: http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-i...on/saved_calculations/view_details/185070094/
(Not sure if the link will still work when you check it.)
It came out at around 34 pounds sterling.
(Kind of expensive if you ask me.. I only paid 23 euros (17 pounds or so)
OPPO Style declare $150 if you ask them to.

Mine arrived on Monday. It cost me £26.15p customs & vat charge. They declared it as US$150. DHL sent me a text on Monday morning advising to pay the charges before they can deliver it so I just popped down to the depot (10min drive) paid the fees & collected it myself.

Where and how much

Let's post here any updates we might have about places to buy, shops, online retailers, and how much.
UK retailers selling unlocked (SIM free) phones:
Sony - £429 - black, yellow, coral, white - £6 standard 3-5 days, £11 express 1-2 days delivery)
Clove - £429 - black, coral - (£5 standard delivery, £7 special delivery) ***free headphones bundled in***
Amazon - £449 - black, coral - (free standard delivery, free expedited delivery for Prime members)
Carphone Warehouse - £449 - black, coral, white - (free next day delivery or store collection)
Amazon has a 30 day return window. The others have only a 14 day return window. However, you can return the item to a store, obviously not the case for the exclusively online retailers.
I'll update as I find more. [Updated: 23/09]

Handtec and Expansys (mostly relevant in Europe) have put them up. The compact is the cheapest on Handtec I think but not by much. Euro 600 still seems like an awfully high price for the compact. I bought the z3 compact from Handtec right after release for under 500 euro.

bring it to the US, pronto!
obviously Sony mobile's own store has them up for preorder in many countries, but sadly not available in the US yet. Boo. I had a Z3c that unfortunately got run over by a car two weeks ago, so was hoping to just go in on the new model here. I was never very happy with the Z3c's camera performance, but otherwise loved that phone. If anyone catches an update to when\if we should expect to see it go on sale in the states, let me know...
