[Q] widgetlocker problem black bar - Bravo General

Hey.
I recently purchased a Motorola Bravo which I already love. I downloaded WidgetLocker and it's an amazing app but I have one problem - there's a strange translucent black bar covering about half the screen on my lockscreen now. I don't really know what the problem is so I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. It doesn't really affect anything but it looks really awful and I wish I could remove it.

Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

The black translucent area is called the anchor. You can get rid of it by going into the settings>look & feel>layout. You will see a picture of a phone and drag the arrow down to get rid of the anchor.

Thank you so much! I was losing hope in WidgetLocker. :>

Removing operator widget

Hi, I just got my Omnia II and one of the things I already can't stand is that my operator has created some widgets in the today screen and there doesn't seem a way to remove them. I can drag them around but they won't go back to the widget bar, they are locked in the today screen.
Since I just got the phone I was planning to play around with it for a while before I flash a new rom in it, so it would be really good if I could find a way to get rid of these widgets, since they are just occupying space in my screen.
Anybody knows a Reg Hack or something to "unlock" the widget?
appreciate your comments.
cheers

[Q] Notification Bar - How do I change it back to the default?

I installed LauncherPro on my S7, but I would like to figure out how to change the notification bar to something more like the stock one. I like the way the notification bar works on my Epic 4G, but I haven't figured out how to do this on the S7.
Anyone know how to accomplish this?

check the bottom of the tutorial
Code your own rom for the S7.
The notification bar is the way it is and without re-writing the OS, you're not going to be able to change it.
I find that tapping to drop it down works better than sliding. It was really painful on my other resistive Android tablet.
I did follow the instructions from the post. My expectation of that was that I would have the normal notification bar. However, that isn't the case.
I'm not really into making a custom ROM for the notification bar. The funny thing is that now that I've used the stock notification bar, I'm getting used to it. The back button at the left side of the bar is actually pretty nice to use. As I'm an old Palm/Pocket PC/Windows Mobile guy, I like using a stylus and the back arrow is actually OK. I just think that the thing is too big.
Thanks,

Black bar on the top?

Now as many of you have seen, the stock wallpapers appear without the black bar (where you battery, time, etc. is).
But once you use a wallpaper that is not stock, the black bar appears so the wallpaper is black on the top. I tried to search for the place where you can save the stock wallpapers and tried to add mine there. But I couldn't find the place where the Samsung stock wallpapers are stored.
Do you know to make the black top bar disappear? I thought that was one of the improvements from the S3 but nothing has changed (unless you use the stock wallpapers)..
plus 1 on this one

I personally see this as a good thing. The lack of Black background for the status bar looked absolutely disgusting.
I personally don't like it. And I thought Samsung promised to change that (to make the bar transparent). Does anyone know how to do that?

+1. I 'm trying to figure that out, too...
What I don't understand (actually I don't understand most of the gaudy crap they've shoved into touchwiz)
is why they've made the status bar (when you CAN see it) this bizarre very dark red/charcoal esque colour, and not just pure black. At least with pure black you could completely hide it or meld it with a dark/nighttime wallpaper or something.
This one is just an eyesore.
WHY samsung WHY????!?! (first world problems.....)

Update: If you get the Nova Launcher 2.1 Beta version you'll actually be able to make the status bar transparent. Plus with Nova Launcher the S4 gets less laggy. Hope that helps!
Look in themes and apps, there is a blue theme with transparent statusbar.

You could use a launcher like nova. It allows you to add gestures to do certain actions. One of them is pulling down the status bar. You could for example make it so that pulling down anywhere on the screen when you're at the homepage, would pull down the status bar.

New update is annoying

I just have updated the new software today. The good news is that we can hide the navigation bar. The bad news is we only have 7 colors for the navigation bar to choose from, and there is no dark color. I use to have the black navigation bar so I found this update terrible
Is anyone share the same opinion??
This is probably to stop people from using a black background which will cause uneven wear of the display.

Maybe not the answer everyone wants but this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jaouan.skinnednavbar&hl=en works great for bringing back the black navbar. And you can use this without any of the emoji's on it; just plain black navbar.
I don't see that hide nav bar feature...

I'm a little confused, black pixels are costly?

Google it. It's not difficult.
Black nav bar will result in uneven screen wear. I didn't say cost, I said screen wear.
I have a black navbar. I have always had a black navbar. It actually helps preserve battery life. A black navbar has never caused me issues.

This app does bring back the black bar but it keeps the phone awake. So the lock screen doesn't time out in the normal way. It times out after the same amount of time you set the system time out to. This has caused major battery drain when it turns on in my pocket from the virtual home button being so easy to push (even at the least sensitive setting) has anyone else found an alternative app that solves the problem in the same way but doesn't keep the phone from sleeping?
