Wiimote controller works!!! - Bravo General

I guess you can add this to the reasons why you'd get the Bravo over the Samsung & HTC phones.
Was able to use my wiimote & nunchuck on my Bravo (via a free app in the Market). Great fun using it to play on the GBC & GBA emulators!!!

Bluetooth game controllers

Got a few questions here. I am on rooted android 2.2. Has anyone used the zeemote or msi bgp100 gamepad with the dell streak? There are zeemote drivers on the android market and also something called gamepro drivers for android for both of those controllers but I wanted to c if anyone had them up and running on dell streak b4 I order one off the inet. Also if u have tried the zeemote or used one before will the streak fit in the middle of it? It has a clamp thing.
Next question. Ive got the wiimote connected to my streak and it is awesome to say the least but I was borrowing my roommates. I went out and got a nyko wand but it is not connecting. Has anyone tried one of these and got it working? Can u plug the classic controller into the wiimote and use that also? Can u use the wireless classic controller and does this also have to b nintendo brand? Asking cause the wiimote doesnt have enough buttons to play a lot of snes games. Asking about wireless cause it seems like a hassle to have a controller connected to a controller to play on dell streak that is also why im looking into the zeemote and msi gamepad.

I'm still waiting on my Streak. I guess I shouldn't have ordered the red one but anyway when I get it I plan on getting this:
youtube.com/watch?v=Hd-bw5UxxsA&feature=related
Datel wireless wiimote.
At first I was trying to get the bgp100 msi pad but it is impossible to get as it was produced in 2005 and is apparently out of production.
But the Datel wiimote is better anyway. 20 bucks on ebay last I checked
Glad I'm not the only person thinking about using the Streak for games.
I use the wiimote with the classic attached (all original nintendo), works magic, kick ass on Street Fighter 2

Linking to TV as a video game console :)

Hi,
Since I can run psxe, snes, genesis emulators on the HTCDesire HD, I was wondering if I could link the smartphone to a TV so that I can see gameplay off the tv - use the smartphone as a mini console carrier.
Thanks
Just do it!!I think it must work!!
The DHD had has no tv out/in, you can do it with a pc, but it would be slow

Guess you then have to wait for the HTC Incredible S, which is the HD with TV out (HDMI)
I wish DHD had TV out. I was torn between DHD and Motorola Atrix which has TV out. I went with DHD since bootloader of Atrix was rumored to be encrypted. Motorola lost my sale due to this policy.

Just bought a Zoom

Hi, I just bought a xoom today and so far am loving it. Is there anything I should know about the xoom? Any problems?(I know about the SD card)
What are some good Tablet apps in the market?
I have a nexus one currently, so I know how to use the xoom. I live up in Canada and I bought the wifi only version, its on android 3.01, is there a release date for 3.1 in Canada?
Thanks alot

Apps:
- Thumb keyboard (Must Have!)
- Tweetcaster HD
- Zinio
- Nook
- Kindle App
- File Manager HD
- Quick Office Pro HD
- Google Docs
- Opera Mobile (although no Flash support yet)
Games:
- Samurai II: Vengeance
- Riptide
- Jet Car Stunts
- Fruit Ninja HD
- Pew Pew 2
- Bang Bang racing
- Mini Squadren
- Pinball HD
That should be enough to get you started. Although unlocking and flashing one of the custom OCing kernals helps make this beast fly. 3.1 helps too!

If you haven't already, check out all of the threads in the Xoom forums (and go back a few pages to find some hidden goodies). The Xoom is great out of the box, especially with the 3.1 upgrade, but really comes alive with the Team Tiamat customizations. As a Canadian WiFi you can update to the US version using BRD's version (in Xoom Development) without any problems.
Please note, when you unlock your bootloader, make sure to never try to re-lock...it will brick your Xoom for sure.
Good luck!
Actually, I saw a perfect thread for you to do the updating you are looking to do:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093112
So, please note the following:
1. You will find the instructions that worked on his post # 7
2. There is an updated version of the Solarnz's CWM Recovery (3.2.0.0) and a newer Tiamat kernel (1.4.4) and even a new ROM, but I would start with what is in the instructions above as they are known to work and are stable.
Please also, don't update in CWM Rom Manager to the newest listed Xoom recovery (4.0.0.x)...it's broken and will mess you up. Just stick with the instructions above and you'll do fine.
Apps:
Pulse
Music*
XDA premium app (of course)
Beautiful Widgets
Angry Birds
Fruit Ninja
Its also a smart idea to set up a Google account to sync everything. Its nearly seamless. Google music is only in beta but it works well for me.

- File Manager HD
- TegraZone
- ezPDF Reader
Games:
- Samurai II: Vengeance
- Riptide
- Plants vs Zombies(Amazon appstore only...for now)
- Fruit Ninja HD
- Pocket God
- Robotek HD
- Angry Birds(original, seasons, and Rio)
- Pinball HD
Gameloft Games(only avable at Gameloft.com...mostly):
- Spider-Man HD
- Hero of Sparta HD
I suggest fpse and to install tiamat kernel for smooth consistent 60 fps if you want to play ps1 games.
Wow, never knew the xoom had a rom. Thanks for the apps guys. Ill probably root it later on, I want to get used to it stock before I go changing things.

in order to realise your xooms full potential, I strongly suggest rooting and flashing either just tiamats kernal or the new room all located in the developer section. You'll notice right away coming from stock the vast improvements with snappyness, responsiveness, and overall a better running machine. It definitely becomes an I pad killer once unleashed.

when will the xperia play get remote play?

Does anyone know if the xperia play will get remoteplay anytime soon?
or will I just have to buy the psp go?
when someone will port that : http://code.google.com/p/open-rp/ to android, you will get remote play ^^
"just have to buy the psp go"... if someone port open remote play to android, all you will need is a psp (one time, to get some sony file) and your xplay... maybe make a bounty ?
sorry for being stupid, but what's remote play?
Its an api for remote ps3 access

and that means? sorry i'm to tired to figure out my self
you can use your xperia play as a controller/2nd screen (not sure?) for your ps3, like the psp does atm!
This is remote play http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B80l2lKdMwI
Its really stupid how a **** phone gets remote play but a phone with the actual playstation controls doesnt have it.
Isn't it better to just buy a new controller? There are no r2 L2 buttons in play
Sent from my XPlay using XDA App.
well why would you wanna play your ps3 with yor phone? :S So stupid. It's like that thread where a guy asking if you can play games on your phone with a ps3 controller. Wtf, i don't get it? Play your ps3 with the ps3 controller, because it's the best, and play your xp-games with your xp-control, because that's what's meant to do Just my opinion
Think about it terror. If you can connect a ps3 pad to the xperia play and you have remote play with the ps3 your xperia play would be like a portable mini tv screen that can play some ps3 games. If you understand what I mean.
The games that support Remote Play are only a handful, the lag from networks really didn't help it either. However, it's great for streaming your video/music content on your PS3 or, if you have your PC networked to your PS3, from your PC.
I used to use it a lot on my PSP so that I could access and set up downloads from the PS Store to be done by the time I got home from work. It's pretty cool for what it does, but it's no selling point.
I wouldn't mind having Remote Play on my Xperia at all hope Sony's working on it with whatever PS Suite will be

So it basicly works like "teamviewer" on a computer? Well, in that case it's pretty cool.
Do the PS Minis all support Remote Play? IIRC Minis are in the same tier as mobile games, so they'd probably work well with the Play.

[looking for dev] An App that emulates touch input to physical buttons!

Hi guys
So I'm a proud owner of the iControlPad (http://www.icontrolpad.com/) and its a totally awesome device already working very good through an App called BluezIME.
Anyway in the ICP forums there is this Thread about an iphone App called Blutrol.
Here's a link with some info about it:
http://www.ringwald.ch/cydia/blutrol/
Now what this app does, is simulating touch input. So if you hit a button on the gamepad, it's like you would hit the touchscreen in a specific place (configurable). Thus making real Gamepad controls compatible with many many games in the market (there are still some limitations).
I think this would be great on Android. There are lots of different gamepads out already, and many companies are advertising the Gamepad compatibility of their devices like the Asus Transformer Prime.
Sadly i have no idea how to port/develop something like that but I'd definately pay for it!
Sixaxis controller.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
yeah, sixaxis controler is what you are looking for. you can also download mappings for many popular gamer here on xda ready to play
Thx for your replies. I checked out the app, but as i understand it its strictly for use with the sixaxis controller. I was looking for something a bit more "universal" so i can map buttons from any bluetooth controller including the ICP.
It would be cool to be able to map android keyboard input to the touchscreen. Because then its automatically possible to use several devices that use keyboard input. Not sure if this is possible with the sixaxis app.
And i'm not really prepared to buy a ps3 controller because i dont own a ps3
Lol yeah u should try contacting them. See how they did it etc
Sent from my good old Galaxy S II. Hit thx if u think i helped and may the force be with u.
Still looking
I agree that this would be great! Sorry to dig up an old thread, but anybody seen anything like this yet? I'm hoping to use it with the Impulse Controller I just backed on Kickstarter...
There is an app now for this, its universal and supports keyboard mouse and virtually anything else, its called USB/BT joystick center 7 it is 5 bucks and slightly confusing to use, but it does work.
