Trying to unlock - help - frozen

I was running the XDA-developers-SER-v12.exe from my laptop with my sx56 connected through the cradle beacuase it said to hook up to active sync. During the upgrade it said it couldn't verify a com or usb port or something like that and the upgrade just stopped. Now my device is frozen at Upgrading... and I'm not sure what to do. Was I supposed to connect with a serial cable to do the install. Please can someone give me baby steps - step by step, I'm not very good at this kind of thing. Thanks!

1. what was your original ROM version before the upgrade ?
2. Can your device be recognized by Active Sync ? ... if yes, go to \windows\startup and delete the upgrade batch file and soft reset.
3. Did you try a hard reset ?

No, my device is not recognized by Active Sync. I have tried a hard reset, but it has no effect, the screen is still frozen...

There still maybe some hope! Rerun the XDA-developers-SER-v12.exe and the upgrade should start where it left off, so give it a try.
If that fails your next option would be the SD card boot loader method. So if you don't have a PC SD reader plan on getting one.

Thanks for the advice. I tried re-running it many times, still no luck. It is still under warranty so I sent it back to Siemens, they authorized flashing the ROM. When it comes back, I now have the unlocking software from gsmlocker.com and I will start again.

dead after upgrade try help...

hi i tryie to upgrade my t-mobile pro but when strating the upgrade the active sync connection was lost because windows started to install drivers for a new device and it took tooo long and the upgrade stoped and noow my device is dead. a hard reset it and it showed me press 0 to restore but nothing happened . the screen shows usb v1.01 all the time the usb is connected and thats all . please help how can i restore my phone and is it possible. please help

You're stuck in bootloader. Been there a few times myself.
This post will help you out of your problem. It's worked for me every time

Hard reset problems

I am new here so I need a bit of help.
I do the hard SPL but everytime my phone switches off after launching it.
It is connected to active sync, when I start reset phone askes me if I allow, when I press yes it switches itself off, so loosing connection to active sync
Help please

To get HSPL onto your device your phone only needs to be connected by usb cable to pc, it does not need to be sunc'ed via activesync, i.e. your device needs to be in bootloader.
Read and follow this guide and you should be fine

[Q] WMDC issues

Im trying to have my HTC LEO run an Andriod ROM. I meet all required spec. I got the necessary files on my PC ready to roll. Here 's the problem The WMDC will load phone and information and show that it's connection is on. I go to run MAGLDR1.11 and it works but when it gets ready to start updating the progress stays at 0%,the WMDC disconnects and the MAgrdl 1.11 ask me do a recovery.
( plz note that the tri color screen does come up but that's when my phone is disconnected.the HTC progress bar stays at zero, until i take battery out.
Please can someone help with this cause, I have tried everything...I mean everything..
Active Sync on, Faster connection box...off....Soft reset...hard reset....power off everything... reinstall everything....

It's normal to lose ActiveSync / WMDC connection when you flash and it is not needed. Read the Noob guide for Flashing NAND roms (link in my signature). You are getting stuck at 0% because you don't have HSPL 2.08.hspl loaded. You've tried everything except reading the instructions

OK can you give some steps in order to set this up dont see link that your talking. Man you would be my hero if that was it.

DFT + zune sync error

Hi mates! Help me please if you know the answer. The point of my trouble is that i have DFT freedom rom v1 on my omnia7 and I cant`t connect to zune. When I plug my phone into pc via usb cable zune states that thereis connection error and the phone should be restarted. Please tell me how can i solve this trouble, or may be thereis another way to get syncronization work. Thank you.
