camera - Adam General

i just recieved my adam and when i take pictures it saves to internal memory, i have a 16gb micro installed. how do i switch it to save onto the micro? i have not rooted my adam if that helps

You should be able to control that in the settings. I don't have an adam to tell you the exact process, just find a menu button or something.

Tytn picture saving.

Hi.
Just got my Tytn and when using camera it asks me if I want to save pictures to sd card,so I select yes.But when I take a photo it saves to internal memory.
Also, when pressing the icon at the top of the camera screen to change storage location, nothing happens.
Any ideas?

Common little problem this where it will repeatedly ask if you want to save to storage card but then defaults to main memory. There can be more than one cause. First thing to try is removing and reinserting sd card and soft resetting perhaps more than once, each time telling camera to use storage card.
Can be due to having network folder enabled, but try above first.

Same problem here
I have the same problem. When I choose "Storage card" in the options of my camera, it selects "storage card" OK but immediately forgets the setting (when I OK it and then return to options).
I've tried a couple of soft resets, and there is no difference. Help!

When you are in camera>tools>capture settings do you get an option to save to "network" ? Also have you tried taking SD card in and out with device switched ON followed by soft reset?
I ask about network being given as an option because AFAIK the camera only allows two possible settings for storing data. If the network folder is enabled it will always offer network or main as storage. If network folder is disabled you will get SD card or main (unles you have one of those flakey cases where card is not always recognised)
There is a registry tweak to enforce the choice of Card or Main even when network folder is enabled. (Blowed if I can find it now, but it's on this forum somewhere/wiki?)

Thanks a lot!!
It was the network folder being active in Resco Explorer.
Changed the setting back to network root and now can switch between card and internal memory at will to save my pictures!
Cheers again.

Thanks for the suggestions Mike.
No Network option - only Main memory and Storage card. Tried removing card and soft reset - still doesn't remember my choice of default storage (the setting is lost as soon as I exit 'Options').
Don't suppose you know where I could find that registry tweak?

Might get another chance to look tonight but at present I cannot find it! - though I did read it somewhere. BUT I'm not sure it'll work for you as it is already giving you the option of "storage card" rather than "network" as some folks have. Might be worth trying but question is why is your setting not sticking?
I suppose the old hard reset is something you really want to avoid!! although that might be your only option.
Suggestions needed from others please.
EDIT: Just had a thought. Some applications only like to save to specific locations. If you have not done so, try creating a folder on the root of your storage card called "My Documents" inside this folder create another one called "My Pictures". Then try again - worth a try.

2 problems....need help with!

Well first is, when I take a video it wont save to my memory card.
Second, active sync wont work
Hi Super EmericAn,
1# You need to set it to save on the memorycard(does the card work?)
That setting is found in the options on the camera screen.
2# Active Sync can be tricky, try installing the latest one and see if that helps.

Yeah I know that memory card thing. It used to save there all the time. I have it as the place where it saves, it will just record or take a picture, and then not be under pictures in the memory card.

Photo Camera problem

Hello, i have a little problem, i couldn't find any thread with these contents..
but, here's the problem:
Whenever i take a normal photo, on any resolution.. it won't save the file after i took a picture and my HD won't respond for a minute, when i try to see the photo it isnt there..
Does anyone know what might have happened? it's pretty annoying
Much thanks, Cb
Sounds like it is having a problem finding the file it is supposed to save the images to. Have you added any new programs or changed any settings recently? Where are you storing the images, device or storage card? Check if you have set these to hidden or read only.

yes it does sound like your folder location may be missing use your file explorer and see if DCIM folder is in storage card inside DCIM should have a folder called 100MEDIA
Well, the folders are there since i selected to save it on the storage card.. and no i havent changed any settings to the camera, and it still does the same thing been trying to figure it out but it wont work at all
If you haven't changed any settings to the camera, have you changed any settings in any other programs or installed any new programs? What ROM are you using?
I'm using the stock rom, 1.14.404.3 (22273) NLD, last program i installed before it went to act strange was spore origins

At a guess I would say that spore origins played part in messing things up. First try telling the camera to save to the device and see what happens. If it is still messed up then you may have to hard reset. If it does work when you tell it to save to the device then take what you need off the storage card and re-format it, then that should fix your problem.
if you have installed "advanced config" utility please check under camera settings if you have "encode photos in portrait mode" option enabled
if yes, unable it.
this can make your phone to stuck or delay whenn you take a picture
good luck!

Cannot change resolution

Dear HTC friends,
suddenly I am unable to change the video resulotion in video recording mode. Only a S(128x96) option is available. Its grayd out, so I cannot change it. It is not the MMS video mode, there the resolution option works (128x96/176x144).
For the Photo mode the resolution option works too. I am not sure, it has to do something with the registry settings?
Can someone post his working settings from:
\\\registry\HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\
please?
have you checked that you have enough storage space?
just a quick thought...other than that, i can't think of anything.

I have 1.8GB free, should be enough.
My storage options are tweaked but this is the full Camera registry.

Thank you for your effort Bruce, but it did not change anything, resolution option still disabled.
I hate to say it but probably only a hard reset will fix it.

How do you force the camera to use the micro SD card?

I have installed my 64 GB Micro SD card into my Moto Z Force and cannot find a way to force the camera to use it for storage. All other phones I've had (well they were rooted) I could make the camera use the external storage. Am I missing something? Can't figure this one out.
Suggestions appreciated.
From the camera swipe from the left side of tbe screen click storage, click sd card, unless you formatted it as internal then it defaults to it.

Thank you! Been racking my brain trying to find the crazy settings for the camera. Looked for the usual menu items and couldn't find them. Never thought about swiping.
Thanks again!
No problem, it took me a while to find it
