windows phone 7 on sd - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Is there any chance to have wp7 on the sd and keeping 6.5 on the nand ?

no
there have to be an sd wp7 and this isn't possible yet

This question has been asked a gazillion times...
Once it would be available, you can be sure you´ll find it here at xda within the shortest time possible...

emh sorry ! didn't know that was a frequently asked questions......
By the way I do know that cotulla was working on 6.5 on sd but not on 7 on sd....is that someone who is workinf on 7 on sd ?

This is also in wrong forum, This is the dev forum, for "devs" posting "dev" work, not for posting "questions", thats what the "Q&A" forum is for

Nope not possible, and wrong fourm buddy, next time post in the Q&A

yes sorry for wrong forum ( I have selected wrong and I didn't notice..) ... maybe a moderator can moove the discussion.
Why isn't possible ? It's for some technical problem ?

I don't know if it's impossible, but it's very unlikely to happen. The way that wp7 uses SD cards would probably make it hard... also, if it was possible, I'm sure cotulla would say he's trying to do it, but he and no one else is trying as far as I know.

The reason why it's not that possible for now is cause windows 7 use's the SD
Card as memory therefore the reason why you can't just remove you sd while you have windows 7 on your phone because it might mess up alot of stuff.

Happily moved to Q&A.

mhm I see..very sad by the way...I was thinking that maybe it could use as "memory card" a second partition but I suppose that can't be done...
By the way there are any news about the chance of 6.5 on the memory card ? I knew that cotulla was working on it but I have never understand if eventually we would be able to put on memory card the same 6.5 rom that we use today on nand or if new specif rom would be needed..

It would be a special wm6.5 rom for SD. There's no guarantee that cotulla will be successful with this, or how long until he releases if he is.

oh dear oh dear,to be polite here.you can either have Nand wich was for the HD2 was designed so that Android can be run off the phones memory were Windows mobile is or you can have SD wich basicly Android runs off SD but relys on Windows Mobile so the Answer to your Question is no You deffinently cant port Nand to SD
its not just convert system, img to ext2 and put kernel ?
The OP is asking for a way to get a NAND build and use it as an SD build, most likely. I doubt that is possible, Proz00, but you should definetly ask a dev, they are the only ones who can give you a clear answer.

You don't need HSPL to run Android from the SD card. The only reason you'd need to consider HSPL is if you needed to update your radio, as older radios are no good for Android. However, you've got 2.15, which is a great radio and ideal for this.
You can just run Android from the SD card with no changes to your phone.
I think you're referring to the data.img size? There's a 512MB and a 1024MB one? This is the file that SD Android uses as internal storage, so you just use the one you prefer. I'd recommend using the 1024MB one though, as I always found 512MB ran out too quickly. (There are ways round this - copying stuff to SD, apps, media etc..)
Basically, put the data.img file in the Android folder and then run clrcad.exe and haret.exe and you've got Android
You may want to look into a dual boot app for starting Android after you reboot. It gives you the choice of WM or Android. They're available in the WM app forums, but here's a link to one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792
tnx it worked nice. But i have problem with robotic voice do u know how to solve that? sorry 4 bothering but im new in this....
ive installed Mdeejay_eVo_Sense_v._2.3Revolution, maybe some other version of android wont have that problem?
Other versions don't have the problem, but from what I remember, if you turn off dialpad keytones then it gets rid of it. (I think you need to turn off vibrate as well!) Go to...
Settings, Sound, and set "Audible touch tones" and "Haptic feedback" off.
That might help
If not, have a read through the 1st post on the thread where you got the ROM. These things are normally discussed there.
ha it worked!!! I now official have android on my hd2 )))) tnx man

Sorry to intervene, but HTC Stock ROM 3.14 comes with SPL 3.03 and is incompatible with HSPL versions.

to also add, hspl is incompatible only with spl3.03 which comes bundled with non-tmous 3.14 stock...on tmous stock 3.14 rom, the spl is 2.10 and it has no problems with hspl

to make things clear... you can run winmo 6.5 which comes initially with your HD2 and put android on your SD card and load it from there, or you replace winmo with MAGldr and flash an android NAND to your HD2. Also, you can flash WM7 now to your HD2 with MAGldr... and and and...

If we don't understand then how can we help? From what you've written, it seems to me that you have Android on SD card but you want to remove Windows and have Android on your phone instead (not the SD).
Is this correct?

For me like the idea WM6.5 in nand and WMP7 to sd card. Hoppely it works sometimes.

Serious question...please help

Hey Guys I have been changing roms alot on my HD2 but I run them off the SD card, which from my experience so far isnt bad at all. But what I would like to do is Dual run WP7 and then Android off the Sd card. Only problem I have is that my physical back button does not work, and every time I se something about flashing a rom with magdlr its says something about using the back button. I guess my question is, is there anay way I can Run WP7 on Nand without having to use my back button? Any help I really appreciate...(and if this is not the right area to ask please let me know and I will move my question to the appropriate place) thanks in advance, :fingers-crossed:
Seriously, this should be in the QUESTIONS section.
LOL
you can try the new CWM Recovery (Still in beta as of this post) which is Touch enabled.
First beta version came with a soft back button although it might have been removed in the newer beta versions.

This has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever read:
1. You're asking a question in the DEVELOPMENT FORUMS.
2. You're asking a question about WP7/SD Android in the NAND forums.
3. You clearly haven't done enough searching before asking your question
4. Your thread is titled wrongly. 'Some questions' doesn't give the people who are trying to help you any information, and I would have just skipped over this thread had it not been in the wrong forum.
as above, you deserve the roasting, , ,however, since i'm in a rare good mood, , the answer is no, you don't need the back button at all to flash magldr/cwm/clk/nand roms/wp7 roms. Send, end and voldown are all you need.
Really?!?

This type of answer is definitely understandable, but for
1. I could have sworn people have ran WP7 on the NAND and Android on the SD card (meaning the base is WP7 and they can run Android off the SD card.) ...maybe im wrong
2. You are correct I havent done enough researching on it, I was going based off some Youtube vids and what some people kept tellin me.
3. My thread isn't titled "Some questions" my thread is titled "Serious Question...please help" and I understand that I posted in the wrong place which is why if you read my whole post I established that I would move it if needed.
4. Im a noob when it comes to the HD2 I do understand that...but no need to act like a sarcastic **** about it
