I dropped my 8525 and now the camara button does not work everything else is working fine and i can open the camara but I cant do it with the defalt camara button so I changed the hot button to the useless ptt button but it will only open the camara not take pics I believe itz internal with the button so I have 2 questions one can i make the ptt button take pics and just use it and 2 is it a bad idea to try and open up the phone my self and see whats wrong? thanx in advance
A: I don't think you can map the camera to take pics with the PTT button. The center button on the 4way pad will snap pics for you.
B: The button fix might be a simple mechanical one....if you're going to attempt disassembly, have a camera handy and take notes so that you can get it back together.

I have a problem with my Epic. My phone stucks in safe mode, I can't start apps and turn on download mode. I don't know how to get out from safe mode. How to do that?

To get into safe mode the procedure is to hold the menu button on the keyboard while booting up. Maybe the button is stuck?? ( top left button on keyboard above the back button)
Yes, this button is stuck but my phone is in safe mode and i want to get out from safe mode. When phone is running there is "safe mode" on bottom left corner. Rebooting doesn't work, factory reset too. I only want to get phone into download mode but it isn't working.
So I would suggest getting the button UN-stuck, that would probably do it.
How to un-stuck this button?
Alcohol with a brush, mini flathead screwdriver, wiggle, pry, or take it apart and clean the button, or take it to sprint if your not rooted and have insurance. But it sounds pretty easy to fix yourself.
Menu button don't work, 5,t,g,v and space also.

What can you do under safe mode?
I can use pre-installed apps, internet, watch YouTube videos.
I used to have a mod via Xposed that disabled the power and volume buttons when the screen was locked so I didn't accidently turn on my phone when its in my pocket. I cant remember what it was called and have searched but cant find it. I seem to think it was Nottach but I have tried to install that and it just crashes my phone.
Any suggestions please?

I ve recently bought a broken screen G900F ,an galaxy s5.After i repaired the screen i switched it on to see there s a pattern lock.once i tried to put it to download mode to reset it,screen comes up with push volume up to get into download mode but volume up button doesnt work.I think volume down button is stuck thats why it doesnt work.when i switch the phone on its always on safe mode which indicates volume down button is stuck? i even have replaced the volume flex but didnt help...
is there any other way i can get this phone restored or volume button sorted?any help will appreciated...

You could try using some alcohol to clean the inside of the volume buttons, in case an dirt got in there, since, I'm presuming, the phone was dropped, hence the broken screen.
i have manage to locate a i9100 jig to put it on download mode for now.but still have to get the volume sorted somehow.

A JTAG jig will put you into download mode.
For a malfunctioning volume switch, check to see if the part is stuck, bent or dirty.
If you can't restore operation, then replace it.
It's not clear if the parts are available separately. They appear to be included with the rear frame.

So, as we all now, Samsung has brought back the silence mode with the update BOC 3/BOC 5.
But the problem is, the only way that we can select the silence mode is through the Notification Panel or on Settings. We can't press and hold the volume - button to get the silence mode (like kitkat), we'll stop at vibration mode. :crying:
So, i was wondering if someone could fix this problem ?
it's possible to have back the silence mode through the volume button or no ?

As long as I remember, in kitkat also volume button was stopping at vibration.
