The only issue when ordering from Amazon would be if you have an unlimited data plan and want to keep it, there is no option to do so. I even called AT&T and was told that if I loose my unlimited data plan by mistake, that I will have to open a case....smh

I was looking to get the Atrix and I called AT&T today and the Business Customer care said they could upgrade me early (March 7 is actual date). Can AT&T actually change this on their system so it shows Feb 22 so I can pay $150 through Amazon/Radio Shack?

Can also verify this works but AT&T still charges activation; with my setup (family plan with 2 phones) Amazon is cheaper by $30.

You do realize that the group of numbers right below the Val number is the transaction number? Which means any best buy employee can go print a duplicate receipt and claim it as their own? Just an FYI.

EDIT: OK, I found the thread on Android Forums where some guy claims he had supposed phone conversations with 3 different BB employees at 3 different BB stores and that they all said $600. I'm sorry, I just don't believe it! Even if it is true (which I doubt) I can easily cash in my $50 BB gift card and walk 100 yards to the Sprint store to buy it for $450.

Sprint only only charges $429.
I also just noticed (in the fine print) that the $50 Best Buy gift card is NOT redeemable for cash.

I made the stupid mistake of creating $300 in gift cards to help budget for this. If I get stuck having to pay another 300 there will be problems. They're going to adjust my price or refund my money.
As I understand it, you can use the gift card towards the price of the phone. Just pre-ordered mine today too.

I went in and they instantly gave me cash (paid with debit). I'm sure that you'd be fine getting a refund all the way until June. Just tell them that you don't want a marked up phone, and they hadn't released the price when you paid.

I've been with AT&T since it was bell south mobility TDMA (before Cingular), so suffering an ETF seems unlikely for me. However I've always either gotten hand me down phones or bought directly from the ATT store/site.
If my plan is stable (it is) and if I return the phone it is within the warranty period, what is my downside for saving $50?

No one has a officially announced it outside out of AT&T (It was said Orange UK said they would get it, but I couldn't find anything from them directly), but I think it is because Motorola technically only announce the Atrix 4G, which is a AT&T specific version. The Atrix is on their website, but no one has announced it yet.

If that's true, then it's seriously overpriced and will keep people away. Even if they throw in the multimedia and car docks, it's still $200 for the phone, $150 for the laptop dock, $60 for MM dock, and $40 for the car dock. That only comes to $450.
I suppose the phone could go as high as $250, or the laptop dock to $200, but I doubt it.

Been a Premier customer for the better part of 10 years. I spend a lot of money with them, so I typically get an extra $50 off any device I purchase.
One of the many reasons I will not leave AT&T.

Was the only guy at Radio Shack this morning (Only Dork sez the wife). When they opened another guy walked in right behind me. Turns out they only had 1 and I got it for 149, and then they offered me $106 for my iPhone 3G, which I took, so in the end $43 bucks for a phone that beats the pants off my old 3G for performance...
I admit I don't know if $106 for a so-so condition 3G is good or not, but if I consider I don't have to try and sell it, etc... and it would have sat in my drawer where it would be forgotten. All in all a good deal to me,

He ran the phone number, premier came up and it said the price was $100 for the phone or $400 for the dock and phone and I took the phone for $100 because I hadn't yet seen the tethering/hotspot fix info that came out earlier today.
The store said that the dock required the tethering deal which requiring giving up the unlimited data. My understanding is that is half correct: you don't need the tethering plan to have the dock but you need hotspot on the phone to make it work. I further understand that it is true that the tethering plan is not avaialble at any price with unlimited;
Has anyone found it yet at Costco who generally sweetens the deals very well with chargers and cases, and often discounts.

I can only chock it up as a premier flaw. Got two for $168 shipped, no contract extension. I still have yet to be charged for them, and somehow they removed my car dock on the order, so I think they really messed my order up. Anyhow, I'm way happy with this phone. This is how android is meant to be.

I'm not really sure what this is worth but I called Google Play customer service earlier today ~10:30am PST and was told that they were sold out. The rep said they expect more in 3-4 days and to "keep checking the website" and enter my email to be notified (yeah, right).
So given the reports of people being able to still order some N4s well into the evening, I don't know how informed that rep was. It sounded like it was just their own personal, optimistic guess. Hopefully, it's not "weeks" like was stated on Google+ earlier.

Lol I went to a tmobile store today that was close to walmart. They didnt even know that they were gonna sale the N4 dont have them in stock or a demo to play around with. And tmobile wants me to give them $200 + tax down and $15 a month for 20 months. adds up to $499 + tax. Way more expensive than the Play Store which with taxes and shipping and the Bumper case cost to $420 And did I mentioned that the one from the Play Store is unlocked. And the one for tmobile is locked

Google is eating like $200 - $300 per phone... The MSRP for this phone should be $500 - $600 for the 16GB just like the GS3, Note etc.
T-Mobile can't eat the difference the way Google or Amazon can.

I think you are wrong! An non removable battery and no sd card slot those two have to lower the price of the phone. The phones gets more expensive depending how many adds you ad on it. 1.3MP front camera thats another cheaper add. 16GB is another cheaper add. no LTE is cheaper
If this phone have those features. Removable battery, sd card slot, 32GB, 2.0MP front camera, LTE. ETC then it should be $500 - $600 But it doesnt. The only feature google put it there that should cost money is the quad-core. Thats why google is not selling the phone expensive because its not worth it. And T-Mobile by selling this phone that high their wrong. They are comparing the price to others phone that have those features,
I'm just guessing but if people are getting "on back order" emails stating that they should be shipping in 3 weeks, that's probably when the next batch will be available. I hope that's all but who knows...

Well, we have the Euro conversion if I buy it from there; it'd only be 43 Euro more (not including any taxes, not sure how that works over there) compared to getting it here so it's not too bad.
The question of course, is, what happens with warranty. Probably royally screwed.
And whether it'd be sim locked; probably not as it is off contract..
P. S. You see, Google are fairly clever. They just turn the $ to €. It costs 350 Euro here, that is +/- 450 $.. :banghead::thumbdown:
There isn't a separate "T-Mobile version"; it's identical, so it will be unlocked. As for warranty, I dunno who would be responsible for that. Maybe LG? The best thing to do is to call T-Mobile and ask which stores will have it and what they'll do about warranty if the phone is used abroad.

That doesn't include tax. Chicago has the highest sales tax in the U.S. so you can expect it to be about $550.
