Why do you need it?
You can't get it on it's own, you need to flash a stock ROM using the SD card method to get the stock SPL on. If you turn off your phone, hold down the vol down button and turn it on you go into the bootloader - what SPL version is listed in there?
(to get out of the bootloader, take the battery out for 5 seconds and put it back in)
my spl: 1.66.0000
i have updated my hd2 rom once (original update).
You'll need to get a 1.48 ROM and flash back to that using the sd card method to get back to SPL 1.42. Then you can put HSPL on the phone and upgrade again using the activesync method and you'll be ok.
You can get the 1.48 ROM here, just put in your serial number:

Flashing Via MicroSD Card
NOTE (PLEASE READ): If you flash a Stock Rom via microSD Card then it will overwrite your HardSPL with a stock SPL included in the nbh file. Therefore if you flash a v2.01 or later Rom (with SPL2.*) you will NOT be able to reinstall HardSPL onto your device and could end up bricking it. This does not apply to custom roms as they do not include an SPL. BE CAREFUL!!
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the LEO Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Reset the device while pressing the volume down button to enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

you can't get just the SPL - you need to flash the stock ROM for your region.

1. Download HardSPL package from *HERE* and extract to an empty folder
2. Synch Phone with PC in Windows Mobile!!! It has to be connected to activesync or WMDC via USB cable
3. Run HSPL2_RUN.exe from your pc and read all the text carefully
4. When finished click next in the HardSPL program
5. The program will now check the usb connection and enter the bootloader screen (tri colour)
6. NEW: YOU CAN NOW CHOOSE WHICH VERSION OF SPL OR HARDSPL YOU WANT TO FLASH TO YOUR PHONE!!
7. Select your desired HardSPL and click NEXT.
8. HardSPL will now be flashed to your phone.
5. When its finished the HardSPL program will pop up a box saying "successfully Done".
6. Click ok to terminate program and reboot the phone.
7. Congrats, you just flashed HardSPL.

you are showing your ignorance by getting all demanding, if you had read anything, you would know that spl is part of all official roms.it is not a file in its own right.
the only reason you would be looking for it is if you have a telstra, cos hspl2 works on any spl. in which case you need the 1.49 telstra rom, flash it from sd card and it will downgrade your spl to 1.42
if you don't have a telstra, then you are looking for something you don't need.

do you have a tmous phone? in which case you need hspl1024 (see my sig)
if not, try different usb ports, especially try to use one around teh back of the computer
also, dont forget to right click hspl and 'run as administrator'
nO it does not work that way!
Would be a lot easyer if you just gave us the file 1.42.0000.nbh so we could add it to our SDcard and flash it without it locking or not working! Please I beg you send us over the 1.422.0000 file all by itself!

I have the same problem and so does everyone else, they no the files don't work and they won;'t give us the EXACT 1.42.0000.nbh file so we can SD card flash it!

How come someone sent over a SPL 2.08.0000 which mine used to be 2.10.0000 and that worked just fine, why wouldn't sending over a file 1.42.0000 just like they did with the 2.08.0000 do the same... IT WOULD!
I just bought a HD2 from Tmobile. The SPL version is 2.10.0000
I wanna use Hspl2 to unlock the phone bcoz I have friends in China.

I buy my hd2 yesturday and I had the same problem but I found a solution fot it this is the link megaupload.com/?d=8XZMKWBZ. it say 2.10.531.0 but is the tmobile stock rom on 2.08. extract the .zip file plug the phone to active sync or windows device center 6.5 doble click the .exe file and follow the promp. now you have a stock tmous hd2 on 2.08 spl. let me know if it work.

get the tmous stock 2.10.0 rom, which includes spl 2.08.0000
flash it to your phone
boot to bootlader, check the spl.
assuming the spl says 2.08.0000 then you can now install hspl
THe versions are confusingly similar
rom 2.13 has spl 2.10.0000
rom 2.10 has spl 2.08.0000
also, you said 'hspl2' in your post, I assume you meant hspl1024 (or hspl2_1024 to be more acurate)?

and then i tried installed magldr 1.13 but now i found out that hspl 4 isnt compatible with magldr
how do i reset my phone? I've tried to hard reset it and its still stuck on the boot screen

Hi I'm very new to this I was reading the thread and I just want to make sure I have a good idea of what I'm doing before I try to hspl my tmobile hd2 the device is asking me to update the software and in bootloader its saying update rom error with a spl of 3.03.0000 I was thinking if I hspl4 the device will this action update my rom or would I be able to reflash stock rom to the device and then flash a custom rom to the device another ? For the great minds at xda is there a build for a gingerbread rom that has the htc sense functional ??? Thank u in advance

If you install 3.03 HSPL it will only change you SPL to HSPL it will not update your ROM. Right now HSPL 4 is only good for flashing custom ROMs. If you want to flash MAGLD to your HD2 so you can install a NAND Andriod ROM or Windows Phone 7 then you need to cboose 2.08 HSPL as MAGLD does not support any higher HSPL version yet. All of this is mentioned above and in the post by member Cottula on HSPL 4.
Sorry at this point I can not use the phone if I replace my spl with a hspl and choose 2.08 then flash a custom rom to my device can I use it again or is there more that I'm missing I'm so sorry to bother you but I let my brother do all this and now he is stuck just like me

If you can still get your HD2 into bootloder then yes flashing 2.08 HSPL and then flash a cutom ROM you should be able to use your phone again. If you have a TMOUS HD2 just make sure you are not flashing a new radio along with the ROM and if it is going to change the Radio make sure it is a a radio that reads something like this 2.xx.50.xx. But do not I repeat, do not flash a radio that looks like these two 2.04.50.xx or 2.05.50.xx they will brick your phone.

Ok I was moving over Andriod from WM65 Energy rom and started to install the MAGLDR and it seemed to load up fine! But once I rebooted, I just get the Energy ROM screen and it won't go further.
Even if I put it back in to BootLoad mode I can't get ActiveSync to connect to continue!
Any ideas?
WinMo ROMs and Android ROMs need different SPL versions. You should reset your HD2 using this step by step guide: http://www.jayceooi.com/2011/01/01/how-to-upgrade-htc-hd2-rom-through-sd-card-video/
You should take the latest stock ROM available, since this includes the latest Radio ROM which you need to run most Android ROMs. Afterwards I suggest installing HSPL2.08 and MAGLDR, CWM again.
Ok, I downloaded the stock rom and extracted the RUU and renamed to leoimg.nbh and did the bootloader thing and it didn't work!
What do I try next?

there are two 'musts' for magldr to work
1 spl MUST be 2.08.hspl ONLY, no other will work.
In bootloader, does teh spl line say 2.08.hspl? no? magldr will not appear, even though it is flashed ok.
2 radio MUST be one that is compatible with the fabled 576meg ram trick, or to put it another way, it must be compatible with tmous phones, or a third way, it must be a x.xx.50. version radio, not a x.xx.51. version. Also, 2.05.50 and 2.06.50 will not work either. The one that came with your phone wont work, (assuming you don't have a tmous, if you DO have a tmous, you dont need to change radio.)
For ease, go flash radio 2.15.50
When both these conditions are met, and only then, magldr will start.
So, as you are now, ,
phone into bootloader
flash 2.08.hspl
phone back into bootloader
flash radio 2.15.50
back into bootloader
flash magldr
restart.

I believe this is my problem! A while back I mistakenly thought HSPL 3 was an updated version so I put it on. It is the SPL-3.03.HSPL. I'm not sure how to get it off and it doesn't seem to connect via activestink and it doesn't seem to wanna upgade off my card. leoimg.nbh is in root and booted in to bootload mode!

Just go back to the boot loader, connect your PC via USB and flash HSPL 2.08 over again. The HSPL application scans which SPL is installed and provides you the SPLs you can flash. 2.08HSPL is your choice.
Also search for radio master thread for HD2 in this forum, download and flash latest radio ROM.

You arent thinking right about exactly what hspl2, 3 and 4 are. There was no need to even use hspl2, hspl4 can set 2.08.hspl
hspl2 hspl3 and hspl4 aren't different 'versions' of hspl in the way you think, , selecting 2.08.hspl using hspl2 or hspl3 or hspl4 gives the very same 2.08.hspl, no difference. The .exe's are just loader programs, the only difference between them is the phone models and spl's each supports. so when you went to stock and no doubt ended up with spl 3.03.0000 hspl2 wouldnt work because it requires a starting spl of 2.08 or lower, as does hspl3.
using hspl4 does work, because it was released for just that reason, to support spl 3.03, its not 'better' or a higher version than hspl3, its just been tweaked to support more spl's.
I bought an HTC HD2 FEW WEEKS BACK FROM ONE OF MY FRIEND.
I DO NOT HAVE THE HISTORY OF WHAT HE TRIED TO DO WITH IT.
BUT BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK/DEAD , HE GAVE TO ME FOR CHEAP.
NOW THIS PHONE IS UNDER WARRANTY TILL AUG-2012 AND IS FROM VODAFONE.
(EVEN AFTER INSTALLING ANDROID IT IS VOID)
HE MUST HAVE TRIED SEVERAL ROM/HSPL TO GET TO THIS POINT.
PROBLEM:
When I power up the phone, it displays a NRG LOGO SCREEN (energize software), and it gets stuck on it forever.
When I do hold the power down button, then it comes up with the three colour screen and it says SPL-2.08.0000, AND also says rom update failed (only if i try to install and then start up)
The phone does connect through USB when it is on the three colour screen, but it does not let me install the rom or the spl...
I have tried literally every single step possible. I have tried to do task 29, i have tried install the original rom, i have tried to put the rom in the sd card and try it that way..
Some times after several hundred attempts, it does let me change the spl... as it was displaying 3.... before then i changed to 1.4..... and then to 2.08...
All i want to do is to get rid of the NRG SCREEN, so i could send to the htc ,, for repair ( i know that it is not under warranty if i used andriod, but they will not know) .. or is there any way to completely format the phone,,, is there any solution to install andriod or microsoft? pls help

it wont boot because there is no rom to boot, it was wiped at the start of the flash.

Use hspl4 to set spl 3.03.hspl NOT 3.03.0000
flash the wwe 3.14 rom from USB.
Alternatively, to make the phone warranty safe, again set spl 3.03.hspl (or 1.42.hspl or 1.66.hspl,, note that at no time am I using 2.08 or 2.10 spl) flash a stock splashscreen (several threads available)
Then use hspl2 again but this time choose the same spl but ending 0000.

Now it has successfully flashed the 3.03 hspl...
Now the problem is after that.. when I flash the rom I.e 3.14xxxx pr 2.10xxx it will just start as usual and when it reaches 99%, it gets stuck and then the error box opens up.. after the recovery, the same thing happens over and over again.. these are the original from but I have also tried other roms and they stuck at different %s

Shame, Well, I guess the splashscreen is back to stock now? In which case remove hspl (set it to 1/3.xx.0000) and it will be warranty safe.

I have intalled the NRG Rom for HD2 Leo EU and every thing was good it works smooth, by i have download an app form Google Play "Beats Audio" with make somethin wrong with the drivers of DSP and HTC Music so i decide to re install the Rom and i fallow the steps for that i make a partitation for 200mb and then do the other steps...but at the end when i install the NRG Rom and start it for first time it freez on the NRG ENERGIZE logo saying "Please wait..." i wait for 30 min nothing... What can i do ???
