[Q] [kerne l1.4ghz OC/UV] SD cart bug - Galaxy Tab General

Hello, i installed the following kernel on my samsung galaxy TAB [Kernel] [EURO] [1.4ghz OC/UV] MCR EXT4 compatible/Voodoo Sound V13 that i found in the dev section.
My TAB booted correctly but since i cannot access the internal and external SD cards anymore.
Is there someone with similar issues ? how can i resolve this problem.

Hello, for my problem please find below more precision that may help :
I use overcome ROM and i have a euro version.
It seems that the external SD cards is not really invisible. It tells me that the informations about space are unavailable but i can launch a format process.
When i push the mount button the TAB tries to mount it but few seconds later no changement occurs. I put my SD card on my samsung galaxy S, the format lauched with the galaxy TAB worked.
For the internal SD card, i can format and that is all.
Sorry for my bad english and thank you for reading.

[Q] NO external SD

Hey at all,
i installed CM7RC at the weekend on my SGS.
So, after some hours of checking and configuring the OS and i´m enthused.
But i have found one problem.
When i insert my external SD card the system don´t response of it.
In "settings -> memory (its my translation - i don´t now the used english words) i can find the internal memory, sd card and additional or external sd card.
the internal has 1.87GB, the sd 5,78GB.
When i have insert the external sd card the systems write not available and plz insert sd card .... .
Do anyone know this problem? I tried a 16GB and 8GB sd card. both are full functionally under the original OS.
at experts: can anyone tell me the device which will be mount?
so i thought about a manually mount to test or to use until a fix is available.
thx.

If you flashed CM7 from gingerbread then your external sd wont work... that is a known problem.
If you flashed from froyo then your external sd card will be in mnt/emmc

I guess you have gingerbread bootloaders on you phone. Revert to stock froyo rom,and then install CM7 nightly from there,im sure it will solve the problem.
I found the Prob. It was the bootloader. After flashing the froyo bootloader i Gott full access
to my edternal sd card.

Is your SD card partitioned ? If not, this is normal from Link2SD.
Your problem is that your SD card is not mounted at all (no /storage/ExtSdCard folder).
Did you try your SD card with another device ?
Unfortunately, some users report problems with ScanDisk SD Cards on Samsung devices, it may also come from the brand.

thanks for answering
I dont think my SD card is partitioned.. i mean I have never changed/ created anything.. should it b partitioned automatically or i should change something? cuz i havent changed anything..
so anyway, how do I partition my sd card?
thank you very much
SD card partition is made with a Partition wizard tool on a PC with memory card reader. You can also use CWM recovery.
SD card partition erases the whole content of the SD card, so be sure to make a backup before.
For low end devices with few internal memory, it can be useful to create a 2nd partition on the SD card to link applications into it and save place in internal memory (link2SD does it perfectly).
But for our devices, i'm not sure this is useful because internal storage is quite big already.
You can still move applications on the SD card with link2SD (it does not need 2dn SD card partition to work anyway) :
select the app in the list, then select "move to SD card"

Help with MicroSD 64gb class 10

Hi everyone, i need help.
I have read many threads from XDA and many other places and still couldnt find a solution.
Info:
I have bought a non fake microsd samsung 64gb class 10 for my S4.
I own I9500 with 4.3 MK1 official stock.
Situation:
I cannot get the card to work properly.
What for:
1.Photos
2. Docs
3. Apps on extsd
4. etc
Problems:
1. Card is not recognized (NTFS obviously will not work)
2. Card is recognized but then can only read but not write, once given the error, cannot be accessed anymore (exFat)
3. Card is recognized but then can only read but not write, always working, but cannot write to it, says access denied (Fat32)
4. Card works properly with read/write but often shows errors (2 partitions, one made of 32gb only)
Tools:
I used:
1. Minitool
2. fat32formatter
3. guiformat
4. easeus partition
5. official SD formatter
None of this tools helped me with the sd card. Card cannot be used. I think that maybe im missing something or other option that may solve the problem, i dont think im the only one with this problem.
In summary, i have the mentioned Sd card and cannot use it in the SGS4. there is no way i can get it to work properly.
1. Is it the SD card? (but it works on the pc)
2. does the S4 not support 64gb class 4? but specs say it does
3. does android 4.3 have issues with this matter? do you know if it does and some other rom it does not have this issue? with everything working like stock rom?
Your help is very much appreciated
Regards

[Q] 64Gb EXT4 SD card not recognized

Hi,
I've recently formated my SD card from NTFS to EXT4 format, since, neither my pc or phone can detect it or re-format it.
My Note 3 is running CM11, and i've heard it should support EX4 format but it doesn't, i'm actually trying different ROM's to try to detect my SD card but since i've started, none has worked.
do you guys have any clue to help me?
Check whether shows up in Device Manager in Windows. Never looks like a problem with ROM

It shouldn't be a Rom problem nor Kernel.
Something must be wrong with your sdCard.
Because my Note 3 N9005 detects exFat, Ntfs, Ufs, ext4 and few other format (*After Rooting*) hard drive without any issues.
I am on Stock kernel and Stock recovery.

Note 3 support Ext4 format for internal partitions only, not for the external sdcard.
Remove your card from the phone and insert it directly to the PC (via Card Reader/Adapter) to reformat it.
The problem is that the SD Card have always worked for now more than a year, using the ExFat FileSystem.
i can't reformat it because windows don't detect it since it's ext4 FileSystem and my linux or Gparted live don't detect it as well. i'm using an external card reader (cheap i recognize it) but it has always worked as well and still work with another SD card or PSP card.
have to say i feel pretty ****ed up since i had my SD card full and my internal memory too all the time :crying:
-------------------------------------
i'm actually using S5 base / Note 4 style Tweaked ROM DEODEXED and it has detected my SD card, the problem is that it is detected as a 0,00 octet card and it can't be formatted, tried the command format with terminal but it isn't available on android.
Hi just a little up so we can remember me after holydays :fingers-crossed:
Did you try changing the filesystem in TWRP recovery?
