I would be ELATED to test it. Would it be possible to load it on a bricked Bravo?
EDIT: Oh nevermind. I see you have to bootstrap Well, I guess it's back to waiting for an SBF.

Well you should still be interested because I am told once I get this working I can create a system only sbf which will likely fix ur problems.

I am definitely interested!!!!! I have been waiting for this ever since I got this phone and retired my jailbroken sluggish iphone. My phone is ready to go so just point me in the right direction. Thank you so much for your effort.

What's the status on this? I'm gonna snag a bravo tomorrow and could possibly test for you.
Just curious if you're working on one for the flipside, too?

Waiting for a 2.2 sbf, which will hopefully surface soon after the 2.2 update, which (unless it gets delayed again) is right around the corner.

fyi...I got the bravo, updated to 2.2.

android 2.0.1

hi I'm new to this forum I just bought htc dream and I saw on youtube there's a way to get android 2.0.1 on it. Is that true? How can I do that I also saw that the camra didn't work. Is there a way to make it work? And I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

I like Camera Magic better. It is faster, more resolutions to chose, and full screen viewing.

If I were u I'll go straight for the gold with
2.1 I like it better try kingklik.

Or just wait for CyanogenMod 5 in the next week. It will be a fully working 2.1 Eclair ROM.

lol, there's really no "best" ROM. It all depends on what you want. If you're a noob you would probably want to try out something stable and CM's will be the first stable & fully functional 2.1 release for the G1. I might recommend waiting for that. In the meantime you should probably root your phone if you haven't already and install a 1.6-based ROM. (Almost all of them are stable - you can pick just about any of them.)
when is that coming out? And how do I root it is there a tutorial?
Im guessing you don't know much about this don't you?

Helping Hand
Alright let's begin shall we.
This Youtube video will get you into the root procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8F7FVISb7w
-------------------------------------------------------
Now once you do that you will need to find a nice stable, quick ROM.
Search : Super D, Cyanogen, or Zach and Xillus200.

[Solved]Has anyone successfully s-off'd a desire z, if so, how?

Edit: "Rom Development" is only meant for very advanced technical discussion directly related to ROM development activity and the delivery of actual ROMs and ROM components ONLY. Nothing else goes in here. Moved thread to "General." Please refer to "[REF] STOP! Read before posting!" ~TheRomMistress
Could you please share your method?
Edit: use at your own risk, tutorial is on a later post in this thread.

There's a load of technical info on S-OFF at http://tjworld.net/wiki/Android/HTC/Vision/HbootAnalysis

Please tell me that was a wind up, lol
we need a set method of getting s-off like the g2's s-off, is there anyone out there who has has success?
JD
It wasn't a wind-up. That guy has a Desire Z (he did a very comprehensive tear-down), and he's deep into s-off and hboot etc. So if anyone knows, he does. I believe he's IntuitiveNipple on IRC.
If I were you I would ask this question over on the G2 forums, where there's a lot better chance of finding someone who has done it.

Im not sure that we can use the same method though...
This forum is near on dead of dev's, as soon as the hboot is live for both phones im hoping they will merge the two sections into HTC Vision.

The reality is there is no hboot readily available for the D-Z users yet. Gotta wait and see what the brains come up with.

Hey All,
(I'm not responsible for any damage that may be caused by flashing this)
I have a great news for all of us. I was stupid enough to test it myslef first
So, here I present You the engineering hboot for our lovely device.
It's ripped from quite old DesireZ dev rom, namely: 1.05.0.0, it laid on my drive for week or so
Here's the proof that phone booted corectly, I suggest You to backup all your data.
Bye,
Pavel

In this case, I'm just a delivery boy (Ah Futurama again ;-)).
Little bit OT: I really enjoyed last season, I still can't understand, how they were able to pull off so many jokes about physics ... and it still was soo original plus funny.

Ah, I don't think it does, but this forum has instructions for manually pushing that update.
I think someone around here also posted a nandroid of oem, so if you root and install clockwork recovery you can nandroid back that way.
I was hoping for a stock rom post OTA just so it would make it easier for me to attempt to customize my own rom. I wanted to make a senseless barebones version of the stock OS for myself. I'm very new to rom building so I figured a post OTA rom was the easiest way to start.

No worries, we just get A LOT of redundant questions on this board so it's a good habit to search first.
Please post questions in Q&A section.
At 25.11.2010 there is no RUU with 2.2.1 (build version more than : 1.14.531.1)
T-Mobile promises it, but not post yet

[Q] Upgrading gingerbread

I'm currently on Liberty v0.1 (.588) and would like to get to .596
Can I just flash p3droid's zip over my system in order to get it? I have .12P radio and all the other requirements, but I'm wondering if being on Liberty changes that.
Also, would I need to wipe?
Edit: Actually, would it be possible to flash CM7 over my current system?
Thanks in advance

No, You will need to SBF back to Froyo 2.3.340. From there you can install CM7.
CM4DX Post with install instructions:

Also, I had found another post for easy SBF back to Froyo:

Thank you so much! I just wanted to confirm that I was reading that correctly. Also, I'm aware of how to SBF, I would just rather not have to go through it.
So just format system (and all of the others), mount, then install? No wipe?
Edit: Just read the second link Lofi Goosh posted. That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

====In need of donations!!!====Also, I'm in need of a Hard-bricked Atrix. Sorry but I don't have any money to spend right now, so I'm looking for donations. This might help with the development of the ROM (Very much speed up the time it will take and testing) if I can get it to work. The most I probably can give you are credits in the ROM (literally, I will add your name to the notices that come up when you flash the zip, and on the forum page) and a copy of the pre-release version (Stable or Unstable you decide). Please PM me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks I already downloaded them from atrix.tk
If you need a hard bricked Atrix, I got one. Its useless to me since I already bought another one, and use a Galaxy S II now anyways. I think the digitizer might be faulty as it sometimes does not feel like working unless you turn the screen off a few times, then it works perfectly.
