[Q] Suggestion and Comment - HD2 General

Dear Developers & Visitors,
I just visited the XDA forum for a few day, I found that
The HTC HD2 and HTC HD T-Mobile are difference.
and if someone flash the ROM wrong, the device will become brick.
my suggestion : Why don't restructure the forum to specific like
- HTC HD2
- HTC HD2 TMOBILE US
- HTC ...
so it will easy for the member navigate to the right way without problem and safe..
if something wrong or problem about suggestion please let me know as i'm a newbie.
Jame2d

Thats the way the forum used to be organised and has recently been restructured..
The ROMS are still seperate........
TMOUS ROMS HERE
OTHER ROMS HERE
The thing you need to watch out for is flashing the wrong radio, never ever flash a .51. radio to a TMOUS....
But if you read up on what your doing first then this shouldnt be an issue.
Hope that helps.......

Only if you want to brick your phone. It will need to be taken apart and rebuilt for the HD2 first so it has all the proper drivers in it.
Can we flash our HD2s with this ROM??? It would be awesome if we could!
so is this the next step to a flashable android rom for the hd2!!

In short no. This is just an RUU. It is nothing special in it's self. This is the same format as if you had downloaded the Rom Update for your HD2 from HTC.COM.
If you want to know how far we are with getting a Full build on to the NAND read this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732160
to the OP you need to clarify what your posting before someone bricks there device
I also thing that title of this topic and first message should be changed to some more understandable way.
It looks like flashable ROM and it is in HD2 thread. It can be very confused for many people.

If you're not going to read a post before flashing your phone, you deserve to have it bricked!
The post clearly says that this is an HTC ACE ROM!

I Agree but just to be sure
DO NOT FLASH THIS TO YOUR HD2 AS YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE
THIS IS FOR THE HTC DESIRE HD (A.K.A. HTC ACE)
The Clue is in the title RUU_ACE
Right now thats, that. Still how long before some one either a) Asks if they can put this on the HD2 or b) bricks their phone
people.
DO NOT flash this rom into your hd2 or you will brick it.
just wait for our developers to prepare it for use on our hd2.

Yikes. Do you have a T-mobile hd2 or a non branded hd2?
I am assuming you have a TMOUS HD2 since you posted in the TMOUS section. If that's the case most likely you have bricked your phone, your phone is dead. TMOUS HD2 can only flash with TMOUS compatable stock rom. Mostly, the stock rom you used mostly has a incompatable radio which bricked your phone.
I have this problem,too....

No, in your case you should buy a HTC DESIRE HD.
SCNR...
Ok, serious now.
AFAIK you have to upgrade your Radio-Rom to at least 2.08.x or higher, I don't know exactly.
Btw. why don't you read this thread?

I don't own an HD2 so this may be vague, but what kind of region specific info are you thinking about? Radio frequencies? Did you get the HD2 there or buy it from somewhere else?
I don't think the region or origin matters with most ROMs, most devs make them internationalized with additional language and keyboard options.
Thank you,

There are only 2 versions as far as ROM / Radio stuff goes. The T-Mobile US and the International.
If your end key is not red and send key is not green, you have the international one, which means you only have 512MB ROM and not 1GB, but it also means you can flash anything and not worry about bricking, therefor everything here is fine. The only things the T-Mobile HD2s cannot flash are the earlier radios or WM6.5 ROMs containing the earlier radios (anything ending in a .51 instead of .50 will brick a tmous HD2).
So you should be fine. If in doubt just ask before flashing, there are some guys here that will help you out.

also the very early .50 radios, for example the original UK O2 1.43 rom ships with radio 2.04.50.22_2
( RUU_Le2_UK_1.43.206.4_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50.22_2_Ship )
this radio will kill a tmous.
So, the rule that tends to be given out in the forums is usually 'any radio with .50. that is also higher than 2.07.50 is safe for tmous HD2s'.
Also, since i'm listing the fine points,,, in the tmous test and stock roms thread in the tmous section, the first rom in the list
ruu_leo_1_5_tmous_2.01.531.7_radio_signed_15.28.50.07u_2.05.50.11_3_test
is NOT a tmous rom, , it is the rom that they used to develop the tmous rom, but is in fact designed for the regular hd2 and WILL brick a tmous.
The second rom in that list
ruu_leo_1_5_tmous_2.02.531.masd_s_radio_signed_15.29.50.07u_2.06.50.04_telenav-5.5.42
should not really be flashed either. I 'think' 2.06.50 radios are ok for tmous HD2, , but best not to take the risk, , especially since the spl that that rom contains is a SWINE to remove.
Simplified for noobs, both regular and tmous, ,, ,go flash radio 2.15.50 and then forget about it.

Hi poyensa, hope you are well. I can't find where you mean. I know of the list of all mods which is linked at the top of the forum rules page. But can't find where the list is for a specific device. I know there are now oem teams, as opposed to device specific mods. (and I am using xda 2010)
Anyway the point of my above post is that the links are wrong.
Am I being dumb again?

Anyway, you can do everything just to flash this sequence: task29, MAGLDR, Recovery and via recovery flash ANY zip rom compatible for T.Mobile. You have to test them all to find the right one.
At last serach botton on XDA.
Hi guys,
I am really sorry to disappoint you but I am really afraid to brick my HD2 T-mobile during nand android flashing as I know that I cannot even flash windows ruu on each other. I reads so many threads and search before post but so many searching causing me to confusing. Although I had been successfully nand flash to HD2 normal But 1 point creating problem either I can flash normal HD2 nand android rom on to HD2 T-Mobile or not?
So for I finally decide to ask question as Q&A forum's purpose is to help?
Hope you understand my problem.

First off, that's an "SD" ROM. And who told you that there are specific android builds for each HD2 model? There aren't. Especially if you're booting off the SD.
In short, yes, that ROM works on your T-Mobile HD2.

Look, my first android was on SD, after have some problem I try almost everything and I can tell you that, brick your phone is not that easy. So if you want keep you phone clean install NativeSD on your SD and all will be fine.
Good luck.
