[Q] A newbie question about factory reset - A7 General

If I factory reset my device, will Market store automaticaly reinstall my paid apps ?

No reinstall, but...
1. Google stored transaction of your purchases in own database (according your account)
2. You can download paid apps again
3. Not all markets are same... Market is not native in DexterMod (Dexter "hacked" build.prop)

Thanks for the info.
Yes, I'm talking about the google market.
I already have the ElocityMod v1.1 installed but I want to factory reset before installing the new ElocityMod v1.2

Couple of issues.

Jut got a German SGT and updated firmware to XXJK5 via Kies.
1. A Navionics paid app is missing from Google Market? Anyone know why? Is it because if have rooted the tab (z4root)? and it is now blocking me from re-downloading it. Should I try un-rooting the tab? The app is available on my other android device which is rooted.
2. How to you delete your google account without doing a master reset? There are no options to clear data/cache etc in the manage applications and when you try to 'delete' your google account a message comes up saying you have to do a master reset?? Any way to get around this?
Thanks.
Got it.
After much playing around a program called 'eris' in the market fixed the issue and Navionics reappeared. Titanium Pro now installed and full backup done

[Q] how to auto-restore apps after OS re-installing?

Sometime I found my apps download and re-install automatically from the market after a OS re-installing. ( install new ROM or do factory rest) Also the wan settings/ wallpaper restored.
But in most cases it didnot. I don't understand that, is there any setting on android system (backup & Restore settings?) or on my google account?

how to fix this

i keep getting this error every time i reboot the tablet
process com.google.process.gapps has stopped
cant use the market too its wont load up .. chrome give f,c when i try to download somthing
its JB 4.2.2 not rooted
how i can fix this ?
Since it is a stock unrooted tablet you have exactly two options
a) Try clearing data (Settings->Apps->All) on related gapps applications e.g.
- Google Play services
- Google Play Store
- Google Services Framework
- others?
OR
b) Factory Reset
Because there is always the risk of wedging the OS by fooling around with things using technique (a), even if you plan on trying that first, you should prepare for the possibility that a Factory Reset might be needed. Note that the Stock Recovery's "factory reset" wipes EVERYTHING including the SD card - so this means
Back up your whole tablet before you begin.
I was going to suggest using the Carbon backup app to back up your apps & data (it claims to work on unrooted devices) - but then realized you have a chicken-vs-egg problem (can't install apps via Google Play). I note that both the windows MSI installer and the .apk file are available from the developers website. I'm not sure how this would work out though as it is a paid app ??? Maybe you still need the market to partially work to get an auth token? (I'm not sure what is needed to work on the tablet for in-app purchases to succeed.) Well, at least you can install the Windows .MSI and sideload-install the .apk and see how that goes...
Good luck and take your time. It may be that no backup is needed after all, but I would hate to be faced with the possibility that a full factory reset is the only thing left to do (the wedged-OS condition).
PS please change your thread/post title to something a little less vague

Error 110 Play Store

Hi,
I recently install the Cyanogen 10.2, i got an issue. Some applications can't install from the Play Store, telling me an "unknow error 110". The problem is not present on all apps, but a good part of the old apps i had. So I try to install the apk manually, but the phone does not want either.
I've try the delete my Google account, delete the application data store and play framework, and clear the dalvik cache.
I had no worries when I was on Stock Rom 4.2, and the problem appeared when I install a Custom ROM.
Does anyone have already encountered this problem?
Thank you and sorry for my english
Make a clean ROM install. That will fix it. Or download a Play Store apk file and install it over the one you have now.

Thx. I've try to reinstall the apk, but it doesn't work. So I'll try to install the ROM again

Ok, good luck with the clean install. It should be OK if you follow all the steps.
I've make a clear rom install and averything is all right.
Thank you for all skywalkerdroid
so far these steps helped me out
1) make sure the following apps are NOT frozen (by Titanium Backup) or deactivated (by Settings/Apps), i.e. activate them through Settings/Apps/Activate:
- Google Play Store (the Android Market GUI)
- Google Play Services (a subset of this service is required for the Play Store GUI)
- Google Services Framework (otherwise Google Play Services will crash occassionally)
- Download-Manager (required for updates/downloads of apps within Play Store GUI)
- Downloads (the corresponding GUI module)
- Package Access Helper (required to calculate free space etc. before installing/updating any app; this one caused Play Store Error -110 / Play Store Fehler -110 for me!)
2) reset these apps either using Titanium Backup or Settings/Apps
a) Titanium Backup: Go to backup/restore, click the app names as stated above, click on delete data
b) Settings/Apps: Open each app as stated above, click on delete data
3) downgrade play store and play services
- go to Settings/Apps
- find Google Play Store
- click "Uninstall Updates"
- do the same for Google Play Services
- Reboot
- Run Google Play (or Android Market on older Android OS)
4) If none of the three steps above worked
a) either go back to factory settings
b) return to your stock rom
c) re-flash your initial gapps.zip (search for gapps and your Android version i.e. "gapps.zip 4.2.1-eng")
Hope this helps!
Regards

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1561960 - uninstalled with ES File, reboot then install mod / original, Fail
