What is the 3G chipset used?
The Mobile Broadband module used is a quad band GSM, dual band UMTS (3G) Ericsson F3307 F3307_screen.pdf (PDF, 112KB, pp2) PCI-E module, which supports the 850/900/1800/1900 GSM bands and either 850/1900 or 900/2100 UMTS bands. The two 3G versions of ADAM available are for either Europe/Australia/Asia (900mhz UMTS) or for the Americas (850mhz UMTS).
Does this mean the unit can be either or? I assume so..
Next question would be, could be toggled between? If it can, will a user be able to toggle it? Or could be made to by some brave knowledgeable programmer?

EDIT: This may have been answered for me. I think I was confusing the GSM bands and the UMTS bands.. darn

Thanks, but was really needing the Pure since it has a different radio. I wanted to see what I need to change my registgry values for on custom ROM's. Thanks though
Screenshots from my pure
gratzi, I wonder if it really works on 2100, 900, and 800 UMTS, I guess that would cover Europe and I think S. Korea uses 800 if I recall right

[Q] Band Selection

Good evening,
Is there a service menu screen within the atrix like on the samsung galaxy s?
http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...rk-frequency-your-samsung-i9000-galaxy-s.html
I want to see if there is a similar method to this to enable 3G on 900mhz on my AT&T Atrix as I've read in several places that this frequency is locked down simply by software and that the radios in the AT&T and world/bell/uk versions are the same chip.
I have tried flashing several radios (UK, and other world ones) to no avail. I would like to enable this band as O2 in the UK are putting 3G on 900mhz (equivilant to AT&T's "4G" on 850mhz)
Any ideas on if I can do this at all please?
Yes, just dial *#*#4636#*#*

That does not do band selection.

Flashback to one year ago, my XT1060 on T-Mobile HSPA+

Here is proof that band 4 was active on Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on the XT1060, though it was only on HSPA+, not LTE.
CDMA networks like Verizon report it as BC15 (band class 15, 1700/2100MHz), but it's AWS band 4. This is how I found out my T-Mobile area was NOT refarmed, and therefore, not compatible with older VZW global phones without AWS.

I can't see your picture, but you can see band data (w/o root) using the app "LTE Discovery".

Do I not have Band 40?

Network signal guru only shows these bands:

Its not about signal. I can't see Band 40 on my network at all. It uses it. Only bands I am getting on this phone are Band 3 and 7. My network supports Band 1,3,7,8,40. And 28 (not supported by Redmi 3S).

Chinese and international dual sim variants and FDD LTE bands FDD B20 with dual sim?

I have found differences between Chinese sold X forces:
Then there are Brazilian versions and Mexican and then the single sims, that i'm not interested in. Are all these phones same just different modem firmware?
Is there somewhere all the different modem firmwares for download?
Is it possible to get dual sim with FDD LTE band 20 (800mhz)?

Given that the modem files differ, I'd say there is a hardware difference. It seems that the XT1580 has one extra (domestic China) LTE band.
