[Q] Music & Video File Transfers - A7 General

I have recently tried to move video and music files from my USB to my elocity a7 without any success, am I doing something wrong?
I installed a 16GB sdmicro for my videos and was going to use the onboard 4GB for my music but all attempts at moving them over failed, Please Help!
Thanks,

I found that making folders for each Music,Pictures and Video's. And placing them in the sd-carddisk0 folder worked for me. The A7 auto finds all the media for you. Hope this helps.

Playing from Storage card songs through Windows Media Player

When I play back music on the Tytn from storage card on Windows Media Player through the speaker of Tytn - skips and stutters during playback of song.
Anyone have this problem or is it my storage card?
Thanks appreciate the help.
I don't have this problem (MP3 or WMA).
Try to copy the files to internal storage and play it from there. If it work, your SD-Card coult by damaged or simply to slow?!
My Wizard used to suffer this problem until I bought a new, high-speed storage card. No more problems now
it might be worth formatting the stick and re-transferring the files back onto it. Make sure you don't transfer the files seperately at the same time. This can fragment the files and cause stutter.
You can highlight all the files you want and send them across in 1 block but not individually more than 1 at a time - if you know what I mean!

Windows Media problems

Hi im new here and this is my first post.
When i first tried to upload songs into my library from the Storage card, it worked fine, but now im not having the same luck.
After i begin to update my library it detects all the mp3 on the storage card but then when its adding them to the library it stops about half way and just lags for about a minute or 2. Then when it says done, the mp3 have not been uploaded at all. I've tried several times but with the same results.
It seems like the only way i can play the mp3's from the storage device in windows media player is my individually selecting the files and playing them one at time
Is there someway to fix this problem?
Is there another mp3 player that can be added to the TYTN?
Is there another way to play mp3's from your storage device without adding them to your library?
Thanks!

This is a standard WM5 problem.
Find MSmetadata folder on storage card - DELETE it (need file explorer set to show all files - hidden files)
Should find it works better now. Reconstruct library.
If still stuck see here:

or search using MSMETADATA

That worked perfectly and resolved my problem
Thanks alot.

What is the correct way to put music on memory card so tf3d works??

Hi
I have searched as much as possible on this, but found no solutions so please excuse if its been answered, but..I am having major problems installing ANY kind of music files via ANY means on to my mem.card so that they show up and play on tf3d music app.
I can't believe it only works on device memory only, surely?
the moment any music added, on any folder structure I get following errors:
1. touch flow only sees 1 song at time
2. nothing plays, Audiomanager error
3. sometimes audiomanager error the moment I even insert mem.card!
So please, what is the best way to add music to card, what files should i delete to reset play lists etc?
Any advice MOST appreciated.

I can't help you other than this - I copied music onto my card and it just worked. I created a folder on the storage card called 'My Music' and copied mp3s (organised into folders) into it and TouchFlo added them to the library automatically.
Thank you, I missed that post..will try it now
God bless you ! Fixed...anymore time spent on this and my girlfriend would have left me !!
Well done. Another hurdle overcome

SOLVED - Another Mp3 Problem - Can you help? SOLVED

Hi Community,
I've had a good rummage around the forum and can't find what im looking for.
Problem: Samsung won't detect my MP3 files (in either stock music player or winamp).
What I've tried:
Drag and drop to my external SD.
Syncing with winamp.
Formatting the SD card in the phone and dragging music over.
Using mediafix.
Placing music on internal card (still not detected).
Retagging mp3's (all are on ID3 V1.x)
Nothing works. The music is on the SD card but no app will find it. All tagged correctly and working on my spare HTC desire.
Test make folder called Songs on External SD card drab & drop one MP3 in it .
Open stock music player .
jje
Did you make sure you did not dump your files into a folder that also has the little file called ".nomedia" ?
Solved
Hi
i found the solution.. the download service I had used to get my mp3's has prefixed each file name with a full stop i.e ".makeyoufeelmylove.mp3".
I didn't know this but anything prefixed with a full stop tells linux to hide that file. This media scanner was not detecting the music.
Hope this helps someone in future.

[Q] S4 Noob with Question on Storage Access

Hi all, noob to the s4. Was surprised when it didn't come with sd card. Read about the storage issues a bit. Wanted to put my music library in phone. Installed sd card- success. Camera recognized it, all pics go to the card. Loaded a metric ton of music on the card. Phone works great, all songs play just fine.
Now for the question- plugged the device to the pc for the first since installing the sd card. PC reads "phone" and "card" or something like that. Browse the card for the music files and only a fraction of the songs appear. More detail: My existing music library was mostly organized into artist folders, with a handful of song files not being in a folder. Well it is those songs that show up and only those songs, none of the couple hundred "folders" that have all the music. Weird or....
One last thing, and thanks in advance for your responses!
I am a picasa type of guy and that has always been my preferred viewer. When browsing existing phone camera photos on the pc, the thumbnails are really low res and the files only open with windows picture viewer. Any ideas why? Thanks again, I'm all ears.
