[Q] Android PDF Reader that supports links? - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a bunch of Make Magazine PDFs that have links embedded into them. Is there any Android PDF reader that supports links?

Anyone know the answer to this one?

Good 'ol GoodReader supports links - I just tested in from a .pdf file (programming book in .pdf format) - works fine for me! Plus GoodReader does just about EVERYTHING else under the sun too! Highly recommended!
Duh, never mind - I'm talking about an iPad app on the Nook Color forums... <sigh> - it's been a long day...

Ezpdf reader is what you are looking for. Is in the market for $1.99.

Links in PDF Files
I tried the EzPDF Reader. I've got a whole system of pdf files including files that act as TOC's and indexs to the main body of other files. All other readers I've tried just ignore the links. EzPDF followed the links in the top doc but not on any of the others. I'm still looking. If anyone's got an idea please let me know, I'm going to a congerence next week where this is how they distribut all the papers.
Thanks,
C DeWitt

Personally, I'm using PocketBook reader.

Radaee PDF reader is pretty good about links

Ezpdf
Again EZPDF does links well. I have tried many pdf readers any always return to EZPDF. More than worth the $1.99 for it.

Any ideas
Does anyone have any other ideas? ezPDF just stopped working and it was really only "barely" working when it did work. There has to be something for Android that works as well as goodreader.
EDIT..
I just found PDFq and it seems to do a pretty good job. Nice and clean interface too.

Best Office app!

Best Office app!
I’m just wondering what app you are using like Notepad, world, excel, anything for text editing.
Doc's to go available on the market. Full function office app
For notes try few free notes apps in the market, for office best one is Document To Go its not free though.
I use color notes for quick notes.
i used 3banana notes before. My mate told me about docs to go as well before i got my desire.
Docs to go! No doubt!
Document To Go
Quick Office Pro. Quick Office came default loaded with my HTC Desire. And I got Quick Office Pro. I like it, though I haven't given a try to Documents To Go, I have read the reviews and both have Pros and Cons.
There is quickoffice version that can edit word docs already included in some roms. Polaris office also.
I bought QuickOffice Pro. Good integration with Google docs, dropbox and sugarsync. Fast.
Jota+ is my text editor of choice.
Note Everything is my notes app of choice.

Does someone have a link for the registered version (crack) do not have to buy
Docs to Go is my preference
I've tried Quick office but found Docs to Go to be far superior.

Sure, voila... Here the link.
Don't forget to say thanks.
After testing both quickoffice pro and documents to go I have to say that documents to go is the better choice
+1 for Docs to Go.
Try "ThinkFree Office" it's quite good and fast
I like Documents To Go alot
Polalis office, I bet!
Quick Office Pro
This software is very good
Just wondering, does any of these office apps include an equation editor for word documents?
Picsel smart office is very nice, i think. Give it a try

eReader with autoscroll?

Does one exist?
I'm spoiled by all the choices for my old Palm TX and just can't stand the constant manual scrolling while exercising on the treadmill.
The main features I'm looking for in a reader are the ability to set a background color (grey, in particular) and autoscroll.
Also, has anyone here used ISilo on their NC?
I'm currently trying the dual boot Phiremod/HC and am loving it, but now the search for apps starts...
I dont know if this is the best place to ask because everybody here is using the color for anything BUT ereading ii presume
i read with Moon+ reader which support autoscroll and you can adjust the speed by using thevolume buttons which is kinda cool. It also supports custom theme's and fonts! Go check it out on the market. No other software on android i found that supports autoscroll....

OMG! Yes! Thank you!
This is exactly what I was looking for!
I don't know why it didn't come up in any of the google searches for an android reader with autoscroll.
Sorry for the excitement, but while I use the nook for all sorts of things, reading was the one part I wasn't happy with, and this reader is just about perfect!
Now I can read and exercise again!
And if you could point me to a better place to discuss reading related Nook things, I'd gladly go there.

[Q] best word and excel editing app?

Hello guys.
Wich would you consider to be the best office document editing app (especially for excell files) out there on the market, regardless of price?
Best MS compatibility for ME!!
QuickOffice HD- best compatibility I've found - about £9 in the market.
Only downside is that the app only accesses the internal memory (SDCard) not any external memory.
Hope someone can show me how soon.....
I use docs to go.there are several none out there that is great at everything
Another options get a Hotmail account. Windows live.they have a cloud service you store documents with them and can edit and create Ms documents but it requires data services
I found Polaris Office to be the best. You can even have it using all your favorite fonts if you put them in system/fonts.
Quickoffice HD is second best since it does miss proper size/alignments in ppt.
The rest can't even get page margins right, no use wasting your time for now.
I am currently on my quest to fin the perfect office app as well. I mainly bought my Iconia for college so I need an app to be able to write papers with. I bought QuickOffice HD and yeah you can change the font, align text and font size, but you can't really do much else. You can't resize margins, can't edit or insert headers, can't even I out bullets! All of these crucial features for writting your MLA paper. I even tried importing a document that already had a header in it and you can see the header but you can't edit it.
I gave DocsToGo a shot and it seemed more featured packed with the paragraph edit and bullet input options, but I didn't go too far I depth with it since it was only the trial.

I'll have to give this one a try will report back!
polaris office is the very best IMO
You guys can apply for the beta for softmaker. I won't give more details, it's nothing to be curious about unless you really want to help. It is laggy and unusable on tablets and the UI is not yet optimized, but it can display the page perfectly, paragraphs columns, everything and won't break the compatibility with MSoffice.
Polaris!
I have Polaris office but since I upgraded to android 3.1 I keep getting force close issues.

If you're rooted you can get USB Mount All, which can mount your external_sd under the internal one so any other app can access it. Works for me on QuickOffice HD and Docs to Go.

Ive been using Google docs without problems... works great on the phone and on the computer using LibreOffice. Can't stand MSOffice and the ribbonface.
Are they the one who broke up from open office after oracle bought it?

Yes, that's libre office. But Oracle has now donated OpenOffice back to the open source world (APACHE) and IBM has donated millions of lines of code to OpenOffice from its Symphony product, so I think this'll breathe new life into OpenOffice now. See

The new evernote update includes skitch (basic inking)

I just updated to the newest version of Evernote today and it includes integration with skitch. Ive been waiting for something like this to take notes on since I got my transformer.
Anyone taking organic chem I think will quickly agree. I hope they include better word processing in the noting taking tool so I can move the included picture around and place it next to relevant text.
That is a nice update i've been trying to do some research on a good note-taking app for my husband - he's a chemistry major, too. Have you checked out Freenote at all? I kind of like it better, since it lets you draw and type in the same document and will resize your drawing to the size of a line. The only downside of course is it doesn't have Evernote's awesome cloud capabilities.
Well I saw your post and tried it, it's nice if you are a paying customer of evernote. I just have a hard time finding any benefits of evernote when I can use springnote for free that has the same capabilities that evernote minus the skitch part.
Which I could just use FreeNote or Writepad Stylus and share it with my springpad.
Though a step in the right direction, guess I'll keep an eye on the app and see where evernote takes it.

You do not have to be a "paying customer" of Evernote to use the app. Not sure if the skitch integration requires a premium subscription or not though.

Just checked. You don't need premium subscription.

[Q] How do I view, edit, word, excel & PDF's

I would like to view and edit MS Word & Excel documents on my Nexus 10. I would also like to view PDF's.
I'm sure there's an app for that, could someone recommend an app?
Also what's the best way to get the doc's into my Nexus, Google Drive? Gmail? Connect to my computer?
Any advice would be appreciated, as you guessed, I'm an Android noob, just got my Nexus 10 and I'm loving it.
Soon to be the proud owner of an HTC One, I'm dropping Apple and coming over to the dark side.
Thanks,
