Ok ... this is great ...
I followed the SKTools settings (had the Lite version and upgraded to the standard version -- which has the installed programs settings) ... and also the Advanced Configuration settings ...
And the movies that I was playing -- downloaded from UTube ... used to stop and I would have to reboot the phone after taking the battery out ... but noe they play perfectly!!!!
Very good collection of settings ... just need the Memory Card Fix mentioned so that the card isn't corrupted and overclocking ... and this is a pretty good list of what should be done to the X2 ...

yup. I have forgotten to include Card Fix
now my x2 run smooth, fast, no hang or crash N stable....

it's sdfix.cab and Card Fix are same ??
where can i get this :
1. sktools
2. advance configurations
3. photo contact pro

[XAP][18/09/2015][0.6] CustomPFD: registry editor + tweaks

Welcome to CustomPFD, a registry editor with tree view and some tweaks, for Windows Phone 8.1
This app can read Keys with any phone, but to write you have to apply the XAP to Preview For Developers (you can use my tool here)you need to interop-unlock your device and possibly a Lumia device.
Latest version: 0.6 - 17/09/2015
- support for CustomPFD Remote
- bugfix for multistring and binary values
Changelog of older versions
v 0.1
- first release
v0.2
- it's possible to delete Keys and values (tap and hold for menù)
- it's possible to create kwys and values
- better interface
- new about page
- full path within tree (you can scroll horizzontaly too)
- added a few tweaks
- new tile
v 0.3 - 29/12/2014

- Tweaks are divided by categories
v 0.5 - created for Interop-unlocked devices - 25/06/2015

Really important notes
- If you still want to patch CustomPFD to Preview For Developers with CustomWPSystem, you can download the v0.3
- Some operations such as renaming or deleting still have the same permissions of Preview For Developers, so be careful while creating new keys/values
- This app is compatible with Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile only, with ARM processors
- Other tips are available directly within the app
- If you want to enable the "Full FS Access" tweak, don't shutdown or restart your phone, unless you disable that again!
CustomPFD Remote - app for Windows 10
There's an UWP Application to access and control remotely to CustomPFD, more informations here:

Really thanks to djamol and vcFan :highfive:
Enjoy!
Hi,
Very promising, thank you for your work.
Unfortunately, this does not work with my NL1520 (8.10.14219.341), even after applying the software reset.
Hi, thanks for feedback, could you provide me more details? Where the app "doesn't work"?
- First message: "the operation didn't complete succesfully maybe the app can't get permissions or there's some problems during extracting files. Try to soft reset you phone and retry"
- 2nd message: "Access is denied. Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)"
mhm... it seems that there's a problem with renaming the apps folde (you could try with a file manager).
Sometimes a soft-reset or remove-reinsert SD may help (I've resolved with this method)
However I've published the 0.3 of CustomWPSystem some minutes ago with a fix.
You can manually patch this app with a file manager?
I'll try tomorrow and I'll let you know.
Make sure you didn't install the swapping tool to the SD card, and that you don't have any SD-card-based apps running when you perform the swap. Either of those will prevent renaming the Apps directory.
Version 0.2 is available now
Added a lot of things

Hi,
Thanks.
I followed this (manually method) and works :good:
In version 0.2 I did not found registry tweaks useful for me. Also there was no useful tweaks from there. I can not write keys to achieve SIM contacts import/export feature and others. And can you please publish what the values has been changed to achieve each of your listed tweaks here?
Today I realized that something happens with the Preview for Developers app (changed to your registry editor). It`s just disappeared from the apps list, but marked as installed on the Store page. See more.
Version 0.3 available, as Always you can find the changelog and the download link within the first post
For the next version I will add Sim related tweaks and something related to the settings hub and action center, with Keys and value rename function.

Within the app, at accent color tweak, write R - G - B value of the color. Allowed values are from 0 to 255 (decimal for now)
Then, open settings > start and theme and you will see a new color within the color list with "olive" name

Lumia 920 error
(you can't write here...)
Is it possible to add this option to the featurelist:
Enable the setting of manual / static IP configuration
its described here:
dev.windowsphone.com/en-US/OEM/docs/Driver_Components/Wi-Fi
To facilitate Wi-Fi certification tests, you can enable a screen from the Wi-Fi settings screen that provides UI elements that allow you to specify a static IP address, gateway address, and DNS server address.
To enable the Static IP UI, set the value of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\WiFiConnSvc\Parameters\Config\EnableStaticIP registry entry to DWORD 1. If the entry is not set, or is set to any value other than 1, the static IP UI is not enabled. When enabled, the Wi-Fi Static IP UI button appears directly below the Advanced button in the Wi-Fi settings screen.
Interop-unlock
Is this tool ready to interop-unlock a device? If not, what's the problem?
Anything I do, it wont work
I tried doing it with the swaper and it gives the same error as the other guy, so as he did it manually, i tried it the same way.
The preview for developers app shows no Icons and wen i start it, it just shows Loading.... and nothing , just like that :/

[GUIDE] [INDEX] ★ Complete guide to G3 ★ [4 OCT]

This thread will always be a Work In Progress. Please be patient, as we receive new development it will be posted here. Thank you very much!
Do subscribe to this thread to get notified on any new updates.
If you own a G4, please proceed to this thread instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-complete-steps-to-root-flash-t3100478. This thread also includes G4's ROM Index.
Own a V10? Proceed to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/wip-complete-guide-to-v10-t3217373
First things first, this guide is made mainly for our great LG G3 D85x. Some steps may or may not work for other phones...
Please note that the results of the following methods may vary. I would advice you don't do this on a daily driver or corporate phone.
Also note that these steps WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
For increased chances of these working, update your KDZ to Lollipop first using OTA or Flash Tool.
If you don’t know what rooting, flashing and blah blah blah means, this probably isn’t the thread for you.
I do not own much of this stuff, credit really does go to the folks stated below. Do give them a shoutout!
Enjoy!
Complete guide to all things G3:
NOTE: The chapters are in chronological order, meaning everything after Chapter 2 assumes you already have root and unlock.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CHAPTER 0: TERMINOLOGY (in my own words)
- Terms
- Tidbit
(To be honest, if you need to even look at this, this thread isn't for you.)
- Root: Gaining full administrative control of your device. "Jailbreaking" in terms of Android.
- ROM: The customized operating system that your Android runs on.
- Kernel: The thingy that links software and hardware
- Radio: The thingy that sends and receives messages, calls and data.
- Flash: Installing a zipped file in Recovery Mode
- Recovery: The software that allows tweaking and flashing, and other weird stuff that will destroy your phone.
- Fastboot: The thingy that allows recovery mode to happen.
- Brick: The term says it all.
- Bootloader: Quite literal; loads the phone for bootup.
- Nandroid backup: A backup-ed image of your current system
- ADB: Android Debug Bridge; some command line tool that sends information from and to the phone to, and from the computer
- CWM: ClockWorkMod; a recovery system
- XDA: The holy website that is full of weird stuff that makes your phone wayyyy better.
Now let's paint a picture:
Imagine you are your Android phone.
Before "rooting", you are trapped in jail.
Upon "rooting and unlocking", you are released from jail.
You go to a shopping mall named "XDA".
You find a credit card lying on the floor from the company "Recovery". On the back, it says there is no passcode required, and there is a infinite amount of money inside.
You enter a store and get a sweatshirt with the word "ROM" on it.
You didn't buy the shirt, the shirt just happens to be free, but still requires you to swipe your credit card anyways.
You keep the receipt as a "backup", just in case the shirt spoils.
Just then, you get greedy and get all the badges in the store.
Stupidly, you pin all the badges on your shirt, turning it as heavy as a "brick".
Then, the shirt rips, unable to put (it rhymes with boot) it back together again.
Luckily you still have the receipt to return the shirt, and return back to your good old disgusting shirt.

(kudos to neko_dugacko_ime, bender_007 & ingoljosh)
1. Download the app on the Google Play Store
2. Open the app
3. It should automatically start to do a backup, so you just wait
4. Tap “Flash TWRP”
5. DONE!
6. To check:
a. Turn off the phone
b. Press and hold the ‘Power’ and ‘Volume Down’ keys at the same time once the phone is fully turned off
c. Release the keys once the LG logo appears
OR: Download “Flashify” or any other app from the Google Play Store
OR: (doesn’t apply to everyone) The splash screen’s “powered by android” should appear to be in a smaller font than before
FLASHING:
Clean Flash:
1. Backup your data!
2. Reboot into TWRP Recovery
3. Go into settings and enable “Use Aroma File Manager”
4. Wipe Dalvik, Cache, System & Data
5. Flash your chosen ROM, basebands, firmware updates and other crap
6. Flash any GApps package. (the one I use: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/gapps-lp-gapps-pa-gapps-aroma-installer-t3010798; kudos to @raulx222 & @slim Team)
7. Flash anything else (e.g. frameworks, boot animations, splash screens, themes etc.)
8. Reboot
9. DONE!
OR:
Dirty Flash: (flashing without wiping anything, used for updating to newer ROMs or reflashing)
1. Reboot into TWRP Recovery
2. ONLY wipe Dalvik Cache
3. Flash your chosen ROM, basebands, firmware updates and other crap
4. Flash any NEWER GApps package. If you manually installed/updated through Play Store, skip this step.
5. Flash anything else (e.g. frameworks, boot animations, splash screens, themes etc.)
6. Reboot
7. DONE!
It is perfectly fine if the first bootup takes a while, that is perfectly normal. Upon boot, Android will optimize itself so just let it do it’s work. Do put the phone under a fan as it does tend to get hot when optimizing since it is at max brightness or some dumb reason.
If it takes ages (like over 5-10mins) to boot up, it means you have luckily bricked your phone! Do source the XDA indices for any unbricking tutorial, or keep a lookout for an update on this page for instructions. (I don’t have any/don’t need to find any as I have never bricked any Android, so ya.)

DO NOT dirty flash if your newer ROM:
- Doesn't allow/support it
- Has a major update
- Has a Android version jump (e.g. from Lollipop to M)
- Is a totally different ROM from the previous one (e.g. from Stock to Cyanogenmod)
If after dirty flashing you experience any ROM issues (e.g. battery drain, lag etc.), I would advice you to do a clean flash instead.

6. Launcher Settings: (assuming you use Nova Launcher) Settings -> Backup & import settings -> Restore or manage backups
**What can I manually restore?**
Red: DO NOT RESTORE, YOU’LL END UP BRICKING/BOOTLOOPING YOUR PHONE!!!
White: 99% safe, go ahead

Honestly, I don't encourage battery managers such as "Battery Doctor" or "Clean Master (Speed Booster)" as realistically, it takes up more battery or RAM in trying to keep the app open to "properly manage the battery". Yes there are benefits such a having a zippier G3, but there are better methods out there.

Bumping = Unlocking with TWRP, so yes it is!
So long as you use the app accordingly, most probably you won't get any issues regarding the bootloader or recovery.

[GUIDE] [INDEX] ★ Complete guide to G4 + WIP/ROM Index ★ [4 OCT]

This thread will always be a Work In Progress. Please be patient, as we receive new development it will be posted here. Thank you very much!
Do subscribe to this thread to get notified on any new updates.
If you own a G3, please proceed to this thread instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-complete-tutorial-to-root-flash-t3098959
Own a V10? Proceed to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v10/general/wip-complete-guide-to-v10-t3217373
First things first, this guide is made mainly for our great LG G4 D815.
Enjoy!
Complete guide to all things G4:

Titanium Backup Method:
Use “Titanium Backup” batch backup
1. Menu -> Batch

OR:
Manual Non-Root Method:
- Messages: “SMS Backup & Restore”
- Contacts: should be synced with the cloud, if not: Export to SIM card or SD card
- Calendar: should be synced with the cloud
- Notes: use “Google Keep”, it will be synced with the cloud
- User Dictionary: “User Dictionary Backup”
- Call Logs: “Call Logs Backup & Restore”

TWRP Touch Recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/orig-development/recovery-twrp-2-8-6-0-touch-recovery-t3125859
(kudos to @Dees_Troy & TeamWin)
1. Download "TWRP Manager" app from the Google Play Store
2. Advanced -> Install Recovery
3. DONE!

RESTORING BACKUP:
Titanium Backup Method:
1. Use “Titanium Backup” batch restore
2. Menu -> Batch
3. Run -> Restore missing apps with data (*NOTE*: DO NOT RESTORE SYSTEM DATA)
4. Once done, go to Backup/Restore on the main app interface
5. Restore manually: Calendar Storage, Internet Bookmarks, Messaging SMS/MMS Prefs, Phone SMS/MMS/APN, User Dictionary, Wi-Fi Access Points**
Green: 70% safe, beware of potential brick
Grey Stirkethrough: DO NOT RESTORE

Honestly, I don't encourage battery managers such as "Battery Doctor" or "Clean Master (Speed Booster)" as realistically, it takes up more battery or RAM in trying to keep the app open to "properly manage the battery". Yes there are benefits such a having a zippier G3, but there are better methods out there.

My Comment
Coming soon.
Several of the steps you list in here require root.
Many of the steps you list in message #1 require root priviledges:
Titanium Backup, any process using Root Explorer, Xposed, Greenify, AdAway all require root access. Maybe that requirement should be mentioned in each chapter.
eagerly waiting for any possible root methods.
i haven't got my hands on my G4, but it would be good to know that when my phone arrived i can root the hell out of it
i get my G4 v23-24, hopefully there is a root already then!!
*root is essential.
I would like to add a request for "enable wifi hotspot" to be added to the first post, when possible.
This is my first LG phone and I hope I can get the wifi hotspot working on Sprint once I get the G4 rooted.
Thanks a lot.

This gets added to almost any ROM anyways, so you should be fine.
Has anyone found a reliable place to get the LG G4 USB drivers? I've connected my G4 to the Mac, installed the drivers through the popup that appears, and doesn't work. The Mac can't detect the G4, and neither can adb.
EDIT: Never mind. Using LG PC suite seems to work. Adb connected.

Not everyone wants to install a full ROM for select functions however.

True. Most of us just want root then we can use xposed to get the rest of the function we want.

Xposed going to require custom recovery also
Can we helps devs to get more info for root? I have the G4 currently
I'm an LG newbie. It would be nice if you could link drivers and flashing software in your post.
I've owned just about every Motorola, some HTCs and Samsung phones and rooted and rom'd for years. This will be my first LG. Motorola has just become too much a pain in this area though rumor is the BL is locked on the LG too. Even root and xposed would be enough to protect my privacy.
ordered mine today
now we wait for root

Have you tried PowerAmp or other non-stock music player? This would kill the deal for me. I suspect there are options and would love to know PowerAmp, in particular, works with the external card. I have way too much music I need to have with me which is why I require sdcard support.

[PERFORMANCE] [TIPS] Sony Xperia SP - How to get the best out of your XSP?

This tutorial will help you upgrade your old Sony Xperia SP like a new but much better version.
Disclaimer
Code:
I am not responsible for any damage done to your device/SD card/OTG cable/washing machine etc.
You are responsible for what you do.
If something goes wrong, it's on you!
It's 100% Working and Stable.
Things it includes with proper description:
1) CyanogenMod 13.0 Marshmallow Update - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...rom-6-0-1-cyanogenmod-13-0-xperia-sp-t3347677
- Follow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71cRmyMsJxU
2) BRAVIA v4 and X-Reality Engine v4 for CM13 - Download zip here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bx83zuSQgyvXNDJpN3k4OXNnMnc/view?usp=sharing
3) Sound Enhancement - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/themes-apps/port-mm-xperia-x-xperia-z5-sound-t3380130
4) Battery Saving - Download Greenify: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify&hl=en and put apps on hibernation.
5) Ignore this. It is affecting battery life without much of the improvement.
WiFi Stability
- Open the file /system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini in text editor.
- Change the line gEnableBmps = 1 to gEnableBmps = 0
- Save and reboot
To edit file using phone, use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Click to collapse
6) Display 360 DPI
Go to Settings -> Display and Lights -> LCD Density -> Set to 360 DPI
7) LTE bands for C5302 devices (Didn't check this though)
Go to Settings -> Cellular Networks -> Preferred network type -> LTE (recommended)
8) Theme Engine
Go to Settings -> Themes. Select/ download new themes.
9) Helium Kernel - This is actually awesome. Freed up 1 GB on Internal Memory and makes phone even more smoother. You can find the related thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/kernel-helium-v1-t3251298
10) Move Heavy Games or Apps to SD easily (Class 10 SD card for good performance): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2413093
11) Ad Blocking - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916098
- Instead of flashing, extract zip and paste /system/etc/hosts file from zip directly to /system/etc/ folder in you phone's root directory using ES Explorer. Download link in 5th point.
12) Build.prop; Init.d Tweaks - http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-u/general/tweaks-collection-build-prop-init-d-t1709836
These are the ones I tried.
build.prop
dalvik.vm.heapsize=128m
ro.media.dec.jpeg.memcap=12000000
ro.media.enc.hprof.vid.bps=12000000
debug.sf.hw=1
init.d
echo "2048" > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb;
* Note: This tweak affected my phone's performance badly so I removed this init.d edit
Suggested app to test memory card performance - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.a1dev.sdbench&hl=en
13) Warning: Unstable. System apps keep crashing.
- Additional 300+ MB ROM memory - http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/mod-save-data-space-cache-partition-t2942765
- Just follow the OP.
Additional Suggestions:
1) Download CCleaner (This is much better than most of the cleaning apps): https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ccleaner&hl=en
2) Open App -> Click Analyze -> Remove Cache and APK Files
- Always clear cache once a week.
- Always remove apk files after a new App installation.
- Don't use phones memory for any storage purpose like Camera Images, Downloads, WhatsApp data etc. Just keep it for app files and use SD card for such storage.
- Don't install useless Apps like Facebook, Flipkart, Paytm etc. Use browser instead. I never installed these apps and never faced any problem. If you can do anything on browser, there is no need for an App.
3) Uninstall useless system files using this App (Use with caution): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp&hl=en
This will free up to 2 GB of ROM and 300 MB RAM on your phone even after installing lots of useful apps.

There are a lot of other cool features which you can find in your OS as you go through your settings. I'm just writing few important ones.
There are some other tweaks too e.g. CPU overclocking, Memory swapping, RAM extension etc. which I didn't try. However, if anybody has already tried these, please post it here so that I can update this post.
Please add more improvements and suggestions in this thread. I'll be regularly updating this thread.

1) Follow the instructions I mentioned above.

If you want to play some heavy games, go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2413093
Memory swapping or SD card partitioning for RAM will have adverse effect on your device and SD card. Above method is much safer but make sure you use Class 10 SD card for better performance.
