[Q] In-call volume too loud after bluetooth disconnecting - Wildfire General

I own a HTC Wildfire with Froyo 2.2. Every time I disconnect from my bluetooth hands-free car kit, the first phone call I make or receive has a too loud volume in the earpiece even if the in-call volume bar is set to the lowest level. To recover from that, I have to Increase the in-call volume and then set it back to the lowest level. I found similar reports in the internet regarding different android device.
Did you ever experience this problem? Is there any solution? Could it be a hardware problem of my phone?
Thanks for your help

Hey, did you ever find the answer to this? I'm having the same problems.

That's strange !

Auto-resets Bluetooth In-Call volume to a level that is really low.

When connecting my new $80 BlueAnt T1 headset, to my rooted Android phone running Bionix V with voodoo always resets the "Bluetooth In-Call volume" to a level that is really low. It seems to be dependent on the type of headset I use. On some headsets it's set to 100%, others to 0%, and others somewhere in between. During a call you can set the volume to a comfortable level with the hardware volume buttons on the phone, which persists during the same bluetooth session. However, once you disconnect and reconnect, the volume level is at it's "default" level again.
In the mornings, when I connect my bluetooth to my phone, I get a brief message "Adjusting volume for bluetooth", which denotes that there is some type of profile setting that is unique for that headset.
This problem can be very annoying when using a hands-free system for the car for example, because you always have to take your phone out of your pocket to adjust the volume, while driving. This issue creates a dangerous situation rather than preventing one. When receiving a call, I must now look at AND adjust my phone volume every time a call is accepted while I drive. The bluetooth in-call volume NEEDS a way to be set and retained, before someone is badly injured or worse.
The correct behavior should be that it stores the bluetooth in-call volume level for every bluetooth headset that is connected.
I've done some research on the internet, but it's very clear that many people are having this problem with a lots of different headsets.
It very well might be an Android problem, but that doesn't explain why I'm having this issue with the BlueAnt T1, not my other headsets.
I have a Samsung Vibrant with Android 2.2. Is anyone else having this issue?
Okay! It seems I found a workable solution (kind-of). I downloaded the free app 'Volume Locker' from the market. Volume Locker locks your sound volume levels inplace, to where if you accidentally change your levels, it puts them back in place where you locked them.
Now, what I did is I called someone using by bluetooth headset, I had to manually turned up the 'in-call bluetooth volume' then I activated the Volume Locker app.
Now, everytime I call out using my Bluetooth headset, I don't have to KEEP turning up the 'in-call bluetooth volume' that resets everytime I disconnect a call.
I hope the Android engineers who make these OS updates will recognize this BUG and develop a fix. For right now, I can use 'Volume Locker'.

Loud In-call Volume

Why is it that when I flash an Android Rom on my HTC HD2 the in call Volume is way too loud.
I turn down to it's minimum volume but it's just ear bleeding loud.
Can this be fixed?
I had this issue too, there's no fix that I know of, just a first aid thing - when your volume is louf on minimum, put it to maximum (at that time) and then get it back on minimum, it should help. Sometimes it doesn't though.
But for me, after a while the problem disappeared. Maybe a ROM update?

be fortunate yours is loud because mine is way too low in most cases i have to use my speaker phone to talk to ppl
I have tried turning up volume & down again & that didn't fix the problem & so i changed Roms's & it does it on all of them.
Surely there must be a fix for this problem?

in-call wired headset volume control

Hi im looking for rom based on android 2.2 or 2.3 with working in-call volume control via wired headset. I'm tested multiple rom's and in evry rom problem is the same, i can't adjust volume It's always on the same level although the indicator on the screen changes its position.
Another solution would be to edit the file responsible for the power of headphones during a call. And add some more db to be able to hear loud like in normal phone call.
P.S sorry for my poor english.

In-call volume too loud

Hello everybody,
Phone is Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, ZE500KL, Android 5.0.2, WW_12.8.5.222
My in-call volume is too loud.
If i'm in a car or in some other quiet space, everybody can hear the person i am talking to.
Speaker is not turned on, and in-call volume is set at the minimum (volume button during call). The button is working, but even the minimum volume setting is too loud.
Is there some volume setting at system level where i can lower the whole in-call volume range, or some app for doing that?
Or maybe some app that can somehow overlay in-call volume and make it quieter? Maybe if i root my phone?
Please help, i really need to lower in-call volume.
Thanks in advance.
Bump.
Please answer, if anyone knows the answer how can i lower in-call volume.
I really have problems with it, must leave my office too often, or hope that the person i speak to won't say anything odd or something.
I am currently thinking of changing my phone because of this stupid problem.
Hahahaha. This is a refreshing problem!! I have always heard people saying the in-call volume is too low. You have a unique problem
Yes, i know But that's the reason i can't find the answer
Hello, have to ask again. Is there anyone who can help me with this "in-call too loud" problem?
Hi. I am facing the same problem. The earpiece speaker is Really loud. The callers voice is audible to everyone sitting near me. The volume is set to minimum
I understand you completely, but unfortunately i still don't have working solution to lower in-call volume below it's lowest setting.
Please write here if you find any solution to this unusual problem, i will do the same.

Bluetooth headset volume

I am using a BlueParrott headset with my Essential (nougat), it worked great with my V10. When I make a call the audio is so quiet I cannot hear it while driving (voice prompts, ringing, and voice mail), until they answer then I can hear fine. If I turn the volume all the way up I can hear it ring but when they answer its very loud. I've rebooted, repaired, and turned bluetooth off/on, I've played with all the volumes. I seem to remember this happening with my S3, but I had do many roms on that phone I don't remember the fix. Anyone have a suggestion?
I have just recently had decreased volume issue on my PH-1.
Previously output volume levels were excellent.

If your problem is specific to BT and/or wired speaker-out volume levels ..., you may want to play with the settings related to absolute volume.
Settings/Developer Options/Disable absolute volume - Toggle On/Off
Unfortunately that didn't help. I think I'll upgrade to oreo when I get home next weekend, maybe it will help.
