it has some red texts. or should i say "error" or is the sdcard corrupt?
i can enter recovery mode and download mode but i cant wipe data/factory reset, i see android logo and an excalmation mark but no progress.
can i flash this using odin? or kies? im in asia region.
can someone help me. coz my brain gives me pain a lot.

No i did not root it. I flashed it using odin with asian official firmware and asian pit. But unfortunately i got this red text or should i say error. I cant wipe data/factory reset. =(

Please help! I'm new to flashing firmware to the phone. So I downloaded odin and the Frankenstein XWKJ3 firmware, and followed Intratech's guide to flash the phone. I checked the system tray and Kies was not running there, HOWEVER I didn't know that Kies is still running as a background process.
When I use odin to flash the phone, it failed halfway through probably because of Kies background process. Now my phone is stuck. I took out the batter to reset it and it's stuck at a screen that saids "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
Please advise on what I should to to recover the phone.

I was able to get the phone to go to download mode and tried flashing again. This time I made sure Kies is not in background process, yet the flash still failed. Can anyone help me to see what I'm doing wrong here.

Got the phone flashed now, thank you very much for the help!
First, I am new to this. I followed instructions on how to root my galaxy s2. Now, my phone is rooted. Tried to load clockwork version 5.0.2.7 by putting the zip file and loading it while in recovery. When I try, I recieve a exclamation mark inside a triangle. It tries to load, but stop.
I also recieved "E:failed to verify whole-file signature, E:signature verification failed."
I then tried downloading rom manager and doing it from there. Same thing. It will start and then I will ge the triangle again.
Love the phone. But, if I cannot put custom roms on it, imma return it.
Any help ia appreciated. Again, I am new to this. So, basic instructions for me please!

You would have to be retarded to return your phone because of this. Just toggle file signatures.

The fact that phone boots in download mode is evidence that bootloader is ok. It is not givin any info about the rest of the system condition.
searched a bit mor. pit file gave an installation error. it`s said emmc is damaged. thanks anyway.
Flashing official firmware via Odin doesn't work?
Do you have custom recovery? I think restoring .efs might help restore product name, I might be wrong though.

when i tried to flash a stock rom it it gave an error about pit. so tried several pit files but none of them worked.
my friend said his boss gave him an another s4 so so can`t be bothered much tbh. thanks.
After trying to unlock my bootloader my phone hangs on setup wizard... I hard reset and do all I can to bring it back to boot normally but still on loading set up wizard

Not clear whether "trying" means you succeeded or failed. Given that ambiguity there is always this:
Flash a pure stock (Samsung factory) ROM using Odin and start from the beginning. You have nothing to lose as your phone was "hard reset"

You might have to buy a membership there (sammobile) - I recently tried downloading with my freebie account and it didn't work. (It is possible that was due to my browser type or ad-blocker issue though. I was using both an off-beat linux browser and multiple ad blockers. Someone recently suggested that might be the trouble. I didn't investigate further.)

I have a Galaxy A7(2016) SM-A7100 bought on Amazon and comes from Hong Kong.
I want to install a ROM with Android 10 or 11 and when I'm running Odin, I get this message on the phone:
Instalation Failure. You need to unlock your device to install a custom OS.
Do you know what I can do to unlock the phone and let me install the ROM?

Hi, I think I have been able to fix the phone locking problem (I am not sure).
Now I have another problem, when Odin is doing the TRW download on the phone, it appears in red letters on the phone: Binary size is too large: recovery
After that the download stops and Odin shows FAIL in red letters.
What can I do?
