well... HD2 is running faster than the forum mods maybe... after wp7,nandroid,android blast we should be prepared in advance for meego and iOS blast...

Awesome. Been using WP7 for almost a day now. Runs perfect, only issue I have is that I'm noticing it uses more battery than android. Anyone having issues with high battery drains?

Fourth!
Haven't installed it yet because I have no vista/ windws 7 on my computer.

2nd install: been running it for 24hrs+, heavy 3g and Wifi usage. Battery life is excellent. (16G card class2)

Battery life for me has been better than Android as well - 8G Card - No other issues at all with it so far - been using it over 3 days now - even figured out a way of downloading apps / games without requiring to activate with live id etc - Been fantastic!

It is unlike this will every take place. The complications with NAND and drivers for the Leo are the issue. Even the phone is similar to other HTC devices hard is different to drivers are as well. In the case of the Leo it will likely not happened. If you want a Android device I suggest you move from the Leo.
I understand the 4.3" screen is difficult to match on a carrier like T-Mobile. I personal just left Verizon where I had the Droid X. Android is nice but I was more focused on a phone with a nice hardware and set up.

Android is useable now.
Waiting for Devs to release it to NAND although it works flawlessly from the SD Card well at least mine does
Boot from Startup is NAND and won't be released untill it is finished.
The guy above this post is an idiot. It won't be long before it replaces winmo completely so stick with your HD2 as WP7 might be an option in the next few months or so as well.

Im sure, instead of wasting our valuable time, you could have spent some of yours searching through these threads and reading the state of the world of Android on the HTC Leo. But you didn't you chose to let loose another regurgitated thread asking the same question people have been asking for the last year.
Please read before posting.
Usable?
Usable? Um... I have not used winmo for about 2-3 months. If you have not tried it yet you should. There are several extremely stable builds right now. I recently switched from Bangsters to mdeejay evo revolution, only because I wanted to try a Sense build. Sound/voice quality is perfect, data speeds excellent, no issues with mms or any other functionality. Battery is also very good. Not as good as winmo, but very close, and who doesnt have a charger at their desk or in their car these days?
Sure you may lose data connection occasionally (maybe 1-2 times a week), but cycling airplane mode clears that up. The issues with android today are no worse than the shortcomings of winmo.
Its not like you lose winmo by loading up an android build. Just do it, you will not go back.
thanks for all the replays

I'd say that, provided that you are willing to read the forums to troubleshoot your issues, android on the hd2 is as capable as any other current android handset.
How to disable Active Sync security?
Hi
I'm sure this is an issue already solved and even discussed here. I did the search.
Could you tell me where to find software which will disable Active Sync security feature on Sence Revolution 2.2?
I have installed LockPicker already but I'm not able to get it work properly.
Thanks in advanced.

[Q] Percent of HD2 (Leo) Owners using Android

I could not find any similar poll and the curiosity is killing me. Please vote so that we can get a picture of how people are using their HD2/Leo. The options are:
I have not tried to run Android or Custom Windows Mobile ROMs and am using original Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Mobile ROMs but prefer using original Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Molile ROMs and I mostly use Custom Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Molile ROMs and I mostly use Android
EDIT: I messed up the first poll option. It is to say "I have not tried...."
The idea is pretty good (been wondering myself for a while). However, don't you think that this is a little biased? I mean, it is in an Android Forum. Shouldn't it be moved to HD2 General Forum? Just a thought, anyways, good idea man!

Still, you are right. The answer will be biased. Oops.

Isn't posting it in the general section biased too? I'm not sure if that many Android users still go there. I know I don't (never been a WinMo user though, so I don't have the old habit of going there).
It's probably best to take the averages of the results here and in HD2 general.

I'm heavy Android user (I own a G1 and I tried almost every possible ROM for it), but right now I'm in love with WM, it's all new for me .
Wow I never would have guessed 97%+ of Leo owners have tried an android build...
surprised with so much HD2-android users
thanks for the poll and merry christmas!

I have to say I was passionate about Windows and Touch Flo on the HD2.
But the great builds from the folks at XDA Devs coupled with the cool and cheap / free apps on the Android market convinced me to make the jump.
Desire HD is not Touch Flo, but it is close.
I never used a winmo on my hd2 directly after the buy i use android
Thanks to all developers, I'm proud to be an Android HD2 owner Also, I need to thank custom WinMo developers because without them running a stable Android build is very problematic and difficult. MERRY CHRISTAMS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Btw i just got HD2 today, it's awesome phone. I'm running mostly android on it since i have only 4GB card. When i get 8GB one i will try ubuntu and anything else that is availble here.
Guilty as charged! I have been using Android on the HD2 since I figured out how to load custom winmo and android roms. Thanks to all the developers!

windows phone 7 on hd2 for real

hey everyone
This has been a long time coming. Thanks to the unshakable versatility of the HTC HD2 (what other phone runs Windows Mobile, Android, MeeGo, Windows 95, and Ubuntu?) we finally have a working port of Windows Phone 7. As you will see, the port works quite well: everything works
hd2 is the coolest phone on earth

Excellent, testing it out now !
guys..im a newbie here but i succesfuly upgraded my hd2 with android using one of the builds here,,, my question would be on should i remove my sd card when i try to upgrade to wp7? or should i leave it inside the phone?
quick replies will be very much appreciated since i will be doing the upgrade later... thanks ya'll
BRAVO for the DFT but i'll never use it because win7 UI sucks
Does it work, lol
Sent from HTC HD2 Android SUPERRAM Tapatalk
Indeed It does! Still prefer Android nonetheless, but will surely keep playing around with this for a day or so
I wonder if it will be possible to have an Android-WP7 dualboot option. I still think that WP7 is nowhere near as well developed as Android on the HD2, but I would love to try it when all the bugs and niggles have been sorted out.
Good news!! But where can download the wp7 system?

Sorry but what has this got to do with Android OS?
This should be in the HD2 ROM or General forum.
That is one ugly OS !!! I played with it for 1/2 day trying to force me to like it. No way.
I rather have Win 6.5.
W7 is really ugly, these large buttons on a white or black background, no menus, no choices, just few options.
I don't understand where's the hype
see the first post, anything is in the zip..
wowow!!
really great!!
It's REAL . I'm using it just right now it is very very fast very stable.
actually it is the fastest OS I've ever use.
It is even faster than android NAND more than like 10X.
I really recommend you to give it a shot.
I agree the OS itself needs a lot of improvement to be an interesting. but it has another advantages such as microsoft office.
Its definitely fast and stable, but the drawbacks are huge.
My first issue is that it wont connect to hidden wireless networks so it will eat up my data allowance as soon as I do anything.
Went back to Android.

Good idea?

Hi guys, I have one question
Can be good idea install Win Phone 7 in my Hd2?
thx
I know that a lot pple love w7, but in my opinion is mmmm....
It's your choice mater and wrong forum. Do some reading and make your choice if you want it.
Personally loading WP7 to my HD2 is the best thing i ever did, surprisingly it feels very good to use.
good idea: flashing WP7 on your HD2 with dual-boot Android 2.3 off SD
bad idea: flashing a .51 radio on your tmous hd2

I've thought of doing the dual boot WP7 & Android, but I only have a 16GB SD card and running WP7 only I've used 10GB already and I'm not installing much waiting for nodo update.
What size do you have? And do you find any problems?
Cheers
Tnx, but no tnx... I will stay out with win phone 7, until someone made it bootable from SD card
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
I'm back with WM6.5 with Android on SD.
WP7 runs very well on the HD2, just not got the extreme flexibility of WM6.5
Wait for the NODO HD2 update, if it ever arrives that is...

It's up to you. I've installed WP7 on my HD2 and love it. Sure, can't tweak the settings like in WM6.5, but now I have more time to do other things with my life than to constantly tweak my phone.
I'm finally getting my money's worth from my data plan. LOL
To reiterate...to each his own. And for those who don't want to install WP7, what are you doing in the WP7 forum bad mouthing the platform? Go and be happy with what you're running on your phone and leave the people who want to explore WP7 alone.

yeah I freaking LOVE WP7 Microsoft has something here. Excpet one bad thing....its Microsoft so you know how that works.. Needs Wifi tethering and different Mapped buttons like i have said a billion times I seriously doubt they will be able to change the map of the buttons..thats why HD2 never received a WP7 upgrade ...but whatever I'll continue to support it its excellent

Got a few questions

Im curious as to the performance of NAND on the HTC HD2 . Can you play games such as the regular angry birds ? Does it have troubles with animations ? Im currently on a Sprint TP2 running Android (NAND) and i like it a lot . with the exception of the week processor compared to that of the HD2 . Also , im having troubles keeping WiFi on during phone sleep even with the Sleep policy set to "Never" under advanced WiFi settings . Does that setting work for you guys running NAND android on the HD2 ? I'm debating if i want to buy the HD2 and fully run android or if i want to just go ahead and buy a Samsung Galaxy S despite its a lot more than HD2 (on ebay) my most likely choice is buying a broke one and fixing it .
Thanks for your time guys !
HTC hd2 will blow you away. Its awesome honestly. Everything works very quickly and there are tons of options for hd2.

From my readings and from the YouTube videos thats what seems to be true ! but i always love to hear it direct from an end-user experience . Are there any troubles with stability in the Android NAND builds ? plus is Overclocking possible with the NAND builds ? thanks for the response !
Some roms are more stable than others. That's the case with every phone. I have been an android nand user for almost a year and its awesome. We also had one of the first ice ports and this phone is right at two years old! Overclocking is possible but I've never tried it. My phone is fast enough for me

If you use a rom such as Hyperdroid with the HD2, like said above, you will be blown away. The HD2 is fast, stable, and pretty much all working feature-wise.
The HD2 is a phone that I would still recommend to people, as it still keeps up with other competing phones.
Hope I could be of help.

Is this true !? wouldnt expect that !! plus i think 5MP camera is good enough lol . video is something a lot of people hardly use on their cell phones , no matter the quality , the only way to get a good video is by using optical zoom . and phones wont have that due to keeping it slim

Comparing quality of Galaxy with quality of Leo confrims that. Not to mention posibilty to install even xp on leo .
A recommended rom that is highly efficient in my opinion is Hyperdroid. I've been using this rom for over a year now and it has never failed me before. It is fast, stable, and efficient.
If your interested, I'll post a direct link to the rom here.
Once again, hope I could be of help.

Slapped ya some thanks
I also advise to use Hyperdroid ROM which is excellent in stability, speed and battery life. I use it since three monts and I am very satisfied with it. The only minus point by this rom is its font size selection and theme. But you change the dpi font size and have theme choser for that.

THANKS for your input im pretty convinced just by looking at the thread ! It looks wicked cant wait to get a job and buy my HD2 now xD i'll most likely flash a bunch of builds just to test drive them . but Hyperdroid will be my first to set a baseline for the rest . thanks again guys !
Look at this thread. It is useful to read before you look at the Rom threads.
