Definitely like what I see... regardless, I think you missed the section where to post it!
That is not windows phone 7 or desktop windows 7 it is Windows embedded CE 7 - used mostly on industrial devices. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Embedded
Cotulla is really a very skillful guy. Everybody talks of android and ubuntu and I think embedded CE would be also a good OS to try on leo. it is similar to desktop Windows but can be used on small devices. bravo cotulla.
and we need Leo Windows Embedded CE section now!
No way it's a fake. cotulla wouldn't mess with us like that .That port is something I would be defiantly interested in. oman just think windows mobile, windows 7, and android . I would be singing anything thing your phone can do mine can do better!
WTF
i always liked him but.
cotulla and fake=nogo
first hspl then usb-host then android then usb-host now this.
that guy is good man
So this is what he has been working on? humm...
I was hoping for Windows Phone 7 or either a NAND for Android....
and why is this under "Index of /leo/WP7S"?
Definitely like what I see... regardless, I think you missed the section where to post it!

theres not embedded windows 7 section so i just posted it in development...

heres some info on embedded windows...i wonder if this will support voice data?
Why post this in the Android section when everyone is waiting for the DEVS to port NAND and this looks like a screenshot from a few months back. Getting peoples hopes up you are a GIMP
I couldnt do any of this so i cant complain.
Damn I hate screenshots if there is nothing to download

getting peoples hopes up for what exactly? first of all this is something i found n wanted to share...im so tired of all you idiots *****ing about NAND. Give it a rest NAND would set android back 5 steps as far as usability.. bc all new drivers need to be written. instead of being ignorant why dont we all just appreciate what we have...and secondly if cotulla or anyone had a release it will come directly from them not from some other member...so jammie_1989 and anyone else ...IF U HAVE NOTHING POSITIVE TO ADD THEN JUST KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT ..THANK U

Total agree!
Its nice, but it has nothing to do with Andorid!
Remember where we are: HD2 Android Development!
regardless of the terrible placement of this thread...
that is impressive, and i'd actually believe it's possible. win7 embedded could probably be loaded on an sd card for the leo. so long as the most basic standard ms drivers work, it'd at least get to desktop. embedded 7 will completely ignore devices which haven't been preconfigured with a driver. just makes me wonder how much of the device functions after loading up embedded.

HD2 WP7 ROM available for download? Nah, just talking...

There was some links here, but of course - not for HD2. Still waiting then...
UPDATE.
Do not download and flash with downloaded files, unless you want your HD2 bricked!

No, this has been around for months and is not a hd2 windows phone 7 rom.

I don't know if you've noticed, but this xda.cn thread is from today.
I am confused
is there a wp7 for HD2 or not? the linke is too chinese for me
There is some download link, but even though i have an account on xda.cn - i can't download because of some credis i suppose (google translator ftw.).
sthEn, can you paste some info from the thread here? After translating it off course.
"3 files I've downloaded, to be sure the file is uploaded to the excellent eggs today"
There should be some mirrors soon thanks to one of the xda.cn people
Basically, nobody've tested it yet - too soon i guess.
Google translation from the above site:
HTC HD2 takes all three large-scale system to run successfully WP7
Windows Mobilephone the king of the group, has once again implemented a perfect trial run of WP7,HTC HD2 (parameters), the system has successfully transplanted Android 2.2 onto HD2, and now once again is trying to run WP7 for real, HD2 an emperor once again, becomes a focus of attention.
HTC HD2 performance of mobile phone configuration is in full compliance with the requirements of WP7, the screen has a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen, built-in 1GHz processor and 500 million pixel camera. From the already listed HTC HD7 (parameters)of view, HD2 processor and the same type HD7, HD2's only drawback is its key design which does not meet the physical requirements of WP7, but it will not stop it from running WP7. Time is drawing near, let us work together to cheer!
Damn....I guess I wont get to sleep...This is freaking crazy....
I'm downloading those files right now Servers are sooooo slow.
Im skeptical but still got my fingers crossed

Soooo any updates on WP7 for HD2

Soo yeah, It was on the main page recently that a build of windows phone 7 would soon be released for HD2. I know I'm begging for a good flaming for this but is there anywhere I can find an update on the status of this project? I know its a locked down OS and blah blah blah but I use the HD2 as my business phone and would like it to have a more business appeal to it. Does amnyone have an idea on the status of this project?

WM7 will come , but like chefs told its just a demo. i dont think its will for a daily use. Android is enough .
i just don't get it. can't the device handle the os?
I think it comes down to if the team is willing to crack the OS so everything works. Last I heard, the thing thats holding back release and making the OS usable would be Windows Genuine Phone. It prevents non-genuine versions of windows phone to work properly. Without live tiles and access to apps, the usefulness of windows phones is non-existent.

of course it can, its just the fact that porting a complete OS is a massively complex task that us mere mortals can barely even comprehend.....
the devs need time and for others to be patient....
Well I'm gonna patiently wait. Android is helping bide the time, but I'm ready for some new microsoft goodies.

You´ll be surprised soon with Leo running smoothly WP7
You can read how well all is going on Windows Phone 7 section.
By now we must have patience and support the great masters like Cotulla and Da_G just for mention some.

[Q] Percent of HD2 (Leo) Owners using Android

I could not find any similar poll and the curiosity is killing me. Please vote so that we can get a picture of how people are using their HD2/Leo. The options are:
I have not tried to run Android or Custom Windows Mobile ROMs and am using original Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Mobile ROMs but prefer using original Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Molile ROMs and I mostly use Custom Windows Mobile
I have managed to run Android or Custom Windows Molile ROMs and I mostly use Android
EDIT: I messed up the first poll option. It is to say "I have not tried...."
The idea is pretty good (been wondering myself for a while). However, don't you think that this is a little biased? I mean, it is in an Android Forum. Shouldn't it be moved to HD2 General Forum? Just a thought, anyways, good idea man!
Merry Xmas from Portugal

Isn't posting it in the general section biased too? I'm not sure if that many Android users still go there. I know I don't (never been a WinMo user though, so I don't have the old habit of going there).
It's probably best to take the averages of the results here and in HD2 general.

I'm heavy Android user (I own a G1 and I tried almost every possible ROM for it), but right now I'm in love with WM, it's all new for me .
Wow I never would have guessed 97%+ of Leo owners have tried an android build...
surprised with so much HD2-android users
thanks for the poll and merry christmas!

I have to say I was passionate about Windows and Touch Flo on the HD2.
But the great builds from the folks at XDA Devs coupled with the cool and cheap / free apps on the Android market convinced me to make the jump.
Desire HD is not Touch Flo, but it is close.
I never used a winmo on my hd2 directly after the buy i use android
Thanks to all developers, I'm proud to be an Android HD2 owner Also, I need to thank custom WinMo developers because without them running a stable Android build is very problematic and difficult. MERRY CHRISTAMS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Btw i just got HD2 today, it's awesome phone. I'm running mostly android on it since i have only 4GB card. When i get 8GB one i will try ubuntu and anything else that is availble here.
Guilty as charged! I have been using Android on the HD2 since I figured out how to load custom winmo and android roms. Thanks to all the developers!

guys..im a newbie here but i succesfuly upgraded my hd2 with android using one of the builds here,,, my question would be on should i remove my sd card when i try to upgrade to wp7? or should i leave it inside the phone?
quick replies will be very much appreciated since i will be doing the upgrade later... thanks ya'll
BRAVO for the DFT but i'll never use it because win7 UI sucks
Does it work, lol
Sent from HTC HD2 Android SUPERRAM Tapatalk
Indeed It does! Still prefer Android nonetheless, but will surely keep playing around with this for a day or so
I wonder if it will be possible to have an Android-WP7 dualboot option. I still think that WP7 is nowhere near as well developed as Android on the HD2, but I would love to try it when all the bugs and niggles have been sorted out.
Good news!! But where can download the wp7 system?

Sorry but what has this got to do with Android OS?
This should be in the HD2 ROM or General forum.
That is one ugly OS !!! I played with it for 1/2 day trying to force me to like it. No way.
I rather have Win 6.5.
W7 is really ugly, these large buttons on a white or black background, no menus, no choices, just few options.
I don't understand where's the hype
see the first post, anything is in the zip..
wowow!!
really great!!
It's REAL . I'm using it just right now it is very very fast very stable.
actually it is the fastest OS I've ever use.
It is even faster than android NAND more than like 10X.
I really recommend you to give it a shot.
I agree the OS itself needs a lot of improvement to be an interesting. but it has another advantages such as microsoft office.
Its definitely fast and stable, but the drawbacks are huge.
My first issue is that it wont connect to hidden wireless networks so it will eat up my data allowance as soon as I do anything.
Went back to Android.
