Weird theme quirk - myTouch 3G Slide General

A friend of mine introduced me to a widget from the market called "sense analog 24 clock" which very closely resembles the sense clock with weather that we have all seen, except no animation. When he uses it on his moment the weather looks almost identical to stock sense. When I use it on my slide with CM 6.1.1 the weather looks like it was hand drawn.
Is this because of the rom? Can I change this?
Thanks in advance, and if this is in the wrong forum I apoligize

Well if it's anything like Fancy Widget(which is a nice clock app with skins and weather too), if you go into the settings maybe you can find something about a weather skin.
Like, I guess when you go to put the widget on your homescreen, does it open up the preferences so you can set them? Or maybe after it's set, click the clock part of it and see if that brings it up.

Yes. Before the widget gets set a settings menu opens up. And there is something about downloading skins but nothing about changing the current skin

Try downloading one if it's free. It might have it's own little marketplace where you can set them too.

HTC Clock Widget

Sorry if this has been asked before I tried looking through topics but didn't see anything about this.
Basically I want to know if its possible to enable the HTC clock widget that comes on the incredible in other themes. I have an incredible and I love the clock but dislike the rest of the UI. I want to use other themes but when I try it takes away the option to use that clock. Is there some way to enable it when I use other themes ? Will I have to root it or something like that? I was hoping I could download it somehow and add it as a widget to use on other themes. As I'm almost done with this I realize I dont mean themes I mean home screens.
I appreciate the help.

Perhaps I am not understanding your question, but the way you add the clock to another theme is to press the + sign next to the phone button at the bottom of the screen, then go to Widget, and then down to Clock. I think it is clock #3.
Im referring to applications that remove senseUI and give you back the default android OS, like LauncherPro

HTC Flip Clock Weather Widget

Hi ok im not the brainest when it comes to my Hero. I have it rooted and im running Android 2.2 with Sense rom at the moment. Think its fantastic.
I love the Sense Weather flip clock widget, the main reason i like using sense, but is there any way to get a clear backgroung, or change the colour of the clock.
Thanks Steve
As far as I know you can't really modify Sense widgets and I doubt that will be looked in to anytime soon since most devs are trying to get a complete Sense Froyo. When that happens maybe they might look in to your question.

Its possible that I am completely off-base here, but AFAIK you can't re-sign sense .apk's correctly in a way that will work. So I don't believe you can make changes to sense widgets in this way.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Zeb
Beautiful Widgets from the Market is the closest you'll get to a transparent Flip Clock. Once installed go into it's settings and look through the downloadable clock skins. There's loads that look like the Sense Flip Clock. It's not free, but it is pretty cool.
I use it when running ADW Launcher... and then I get bored and switch back to Sense... and then vise versa!
Error on startup with clock
I am using the the weather & toggle app on my rooted nook tablet. I have the weather and flip clock on my home screen and it works fine until I power down the device. After the power down where the clock should be it says" Problem loading widget"
I am a noob here but this string was about the clock so I hope Im posting in the right place.
Thanx!!
Lirasina themed the clock so it is possible. Actually, I can take a look into it, shouldn't be too hard. Which Rom do you want me to do it for?
sent with love from me to you
Animated weather widget&clock is quite similar to the HTC sense.
However, in the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1276544
there is a link for the HTC sense style clocks. I don't know if they work in other roms.

I dont have the tablet but when my flip clock (on my phone) has problems a simple "remove" and replacing of the widget generally fixes it. Then again, I don't have a tablet so maybe it's the rom…or ???

Not really crazy, what do you want me to change?
Edit: Is there an old style Sense clock in ZeroHero or only the new Sense 3.5 one?
Didnt work. I have to delete the clock from my home page and put it back everytime I power down. Could someone look into this. There has to be some way or some clock similar that doesnt have this problem.
Thanx!!

Where can i find the default tmobile clock / weather widget?

Where can i find the default tmobile clock / weather widget?
I recently flashed to CM7 but liked the clock / weather widget that was on the stock Tmobile ROM. Any suggestions on how to get this back?
THanks!

I think you mean the sense clock weather widget. that commonly used widget is htc's, not tmobile's
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
Yeah. The stock clock/weather widget is part of HTC Sense. That's why you don't see it when using an alternative homescreen launcher. Also, that's why other widgets that used that style widget had to change it.
ok that must be why I cannot find it! I think the HTC Sense stock was by far the best. It had weather alaram and clock on the home screen...then it also had multiple alternate locations. Any that are comparable to that?
there are settings within both beautiful widgets and fancy widgets pro where you can set up what i believe your talking about. for instance under advanced settings you can set up when you touch the clock it open's a app, lets say you want that 2b your alarm..you can change it 2 that or any other app you wish. you can make touching the date start the calender and clicking on the sun/moon will start the weather. Both have a sence-like feel, like under settings you can check to have the clouds move when unlocking the phone. I myself like beautiful widgets a lil better but perhaps check youtube 4 a video on each b4 you decide which you may like better. well hope this helped some.

A few android question

Hi,
I've been with WinMo since 2001 until about a week ago when I switched to andriod. I have many questions and was unsure where to turn to. I will try here. If there is a better place, please let me know.
I have a Desire Z that I got with ATT 3G bands. I have successfully rooted the device, overclocked it, and installed Cyanogen 6.
1) When I hit the power button, I still have to swipe my finger across the screen to unlock. How do I make it so I don't have to do this?
2) I had some difficulty upgrading to Cyanogen 6 and was unable to get 7 to work. IfI want to mess around further with roms, is there some way I can backup EVERYTHING so if I screw up, I can make my phone exactly the way I have it now without a whole lot of work re-installing stuff, etc.?
3) The link to the phone, app, and browser are all stuck on the bottom of the phone. Can I get rid of this?
4) When laying apps out on the home screen, there seems to be some kind of grid that they are locked into that makes it hard to move them exactly where I want them. It will let me lay them so they overlap each other, but not very close to each other. Is there some way to overcome this?
5) I can't seem to arrange apps close to the top of the screen because the garbage can overlay slides down and when I move the app near the top it thinks I am trying to throw it away.
6) Is there an app that will show both the current weather and an icon for the weather conditions in the status bar?
Wow, a lot of questions...
1, Go to Settings->CyanogenMod Settings->Input Settings and select Trackball wake/Trackball Unlock or Menu Unlock and after that you will be able to select Disable Unlock Slider
2, Try Titanium Backup (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup)
3, As far as I know CM6 uses ADW.Launcher as default launcher. You can change it to LauncherPro (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fede.launcher) which is fully customisable
4, There is a grid which can't be changed
5, LauncherPro has the trash icon at the bottom
6, Sorry, I didn't find any

Hello Everyone.
I went and found some of these answers on my own. I also was able to upgrade to CM7.
1) I found an app for it but will try PsHeger's solution.
2) I found that the bootloader/Rom manager do a good job of this, too.
3) I was able to remove it in the app launcher rather than using pro.
4) This absolutely pisses me off. I have a Winmo 6.5 phone that lets me have a nice, organized home screen. I can't believe there isn't a better solution to this. Good lord.
6) Go Weather App does this.
if you set your grid settings to 10x10 rows and columns in launcher pro, you can put the icons and widgets pretty much anywhere.

You can try this, but you will need to buy a pro key for laincherpro to strech the widgets or they will look really stuid

I found that the auto stretch check box pretty much solved the problem with layout.

Clock widget problem

Hey guys,
I have a problem: when I press on the clock widget on my homescreen it opens the world clock instead of the clock/weather. I never had this problem before and I'm not sure if it's rom related or if it's just a setting somewhere. I'm currently on arhd 5.1.3.
Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you don't have a littel bit big fingers? If you tap a little bit lower on the weather forcast the weather app should open.
I'm well aware of that, but I don't want to open the weather app, I want to open the clock app. Until now tapping on the clock opened the clock app, but now it opens the world clock tab. I haven't found a way around this on my own so that's why I'm asking for your help.

Same at my DHD. When tapping on clock, World Clock opens. Next step is to tap on Clock at bottom of opened widget. As i remember, this was always like this. I can't remember that the clock widget opened directly.

Yes, you have described exactly my problem. It wasn't always like this. With my dhd the clock app opened directly until now.
