Unlimited internet with throttling over 5 GB - I think it forces edge after that point. Plus you don't pay extra for HSPA+. If you pay month to month, it's very cheap. If you get a Nexus 1 and I think S (since you can undetectably use cheap non-smart phone data plans), it can be significantly cheaper than Sprint.

Same size as the HD2, which is NOT too big...the overall dimensions of the phone are just a little taller than our N1 and about it looks like half an inch wider.

i really dig the kickstand.. pretty cool feature
front facing 1.3 mp camera is pretty cool, video chatting ftw
1500mah battery will not last long in there at all
id consider selling my tmo nexus1 when that comes out on sprint
depends on how sprint decides to handle their 4g data plans
afaik they will not be offering all you can use on 4g

There is nothing the new iPhone that will come out this year have that will be better than the EVO!!! **** I want it
I'm personally sick of chasing phones, my n1 seems pretty cool still, nothing really kicks its arse...
Plus imo its too big.. the hd2 looked way bigger than my n1 when I compared them...
4.0 would be perfect... I most definitely ain't switching providers.... n1 for me all year unless a better processor comes out I could care less about the camera and front camera... just my opinion...
But looks cool though
I don't think the big screen is gonna be pocket friendly and HTC is just throwing phones out there that won't reach quick updates like the Nexus. Sure the Evo is better spec'd but the support the Nexus will get from Google will keep it at the top until Googles Nexus Two. I just think all these random HTC Android phones like the Incredible, Desire, and the Evo are one and done androids. They will get Android 3.0 like 8 months after the Nexus and that will most likely be it. While the Nexus is there getting fed updates.
I really am excited to see applrs response to all these amazing phones.
getting it on the first day without a doubt.
CDMA fail...
After switching from an iPhone 3gs I really have come to despise exclusivity agreements with carriers the way the EVO 4g will be. If HTC goes out of their way to make the EVO 4g available on all the carriers the way Google is going to do with the N1 then I would consider EVO 4g but otherwise I wont support that kind of shady business practice anymore. This is why I support an open company like Google which puts the customer first and gives them options they are asking for.

Ok.. so while a couple of you have good point, it seems that the majority is in denial because you already bought the Nexus One. I own an N1 too guys...but I can honestly say that the Evo 4G is going to be a great phone for Sprint. At the end of the day, this is going to help Android increase their market share, which is what we all should be rooting for.

I would actually bet money that that is their first LTE phone. They're supposed to be releasing a LTE aka 4G phone this November, this might be it.
I kinda want to go steal me one right now..
Once you get 4g you will never want to be without it. I am getting 3mb - 11mb everywhere and I am amazed at the speed difference in all apps.
This is exactly the evo with a bigger kickstand (which I would love a bigger kickstand, one that can support it in portrait mode would be killer)

I totally agree! If it wasn't for the Evo, Evo Shift and the Epic...Sprint would be nothing. The Evo is a beast and that's the only reason I'm still with Sprint. However, if they don't release and/or announce a Evo 2, I might just sell my Evo, Evo Shift, my wife's phone and my daughter's phone and go to another carrier.
All this hype for a mediocre phone. This thing doesn't even compare to the Evo at all. This was a disastrous FAIL on Sprint's part!

Verizon comes out with the Thunderbolt, so that is an option for me. As well as the Motorola Atrix. But the only thing about those Motorola phones is that they're hard to root.

[Q] Well Sprint is giving me the boot!

Sprint notified me via letter today that I would no longer have service after the 5th of July. I moved out of Sprint's service area around September of last year and knew this was coming eventually. I am actually shocked it took so long .
As sad as I am to leave Sprint and my Evo; I must move forward!
That being said, what phones are on the horizon? I will probably switch to Verizon because they still have unlimited data. I'm not adverse to prepaid as those services have come a long way in the last few years.
I am liking the Thunderbolt, as it is the most similar to our Evos.

It's not about making/losing money. It's the fact that the other 3 big carriers have data capping and the other 3 big carriers have iphones on them. Sprint doesn't and we don't have a cap
att gets iphone = no more unlimited data
Verizon gets iphone = no more unlimited data
Sprint gets iphone = ??????

Could care less or I already would own an iPhone lmao. Just not my taste. I like open source and despise apple.

Agreed with the above poster. I'm a Mac user, I love Apple computers. But there's simply so many reasons why I don't want an iPhone.

What you're inferring from your post is that because of the Iphone there is data capping
post hoc ergo propter hoc

iPhone does not = data cap. Just a coincidence.
Maybe Verizon/ATT think having the iPhone entitles them to upcharge for service. Coincidence, maybe. But I can see Sprint pulling a douche move and excluding said iPhone from the unlimited plans, or do away with unlimited plans.

As much as I love my evo 4g and android, I wouldn't mind an iphone 5 on sprint's service. Apple's support is unmatched with all the accessories and apps they offer. Pretty much most of the good apps that android receives comes on iphones first.
Being a Mac user myself and owning and iPhone once i agree with other posters that Android open source is more inviting and much better. Apple is cat and mouse for total control. If i want to change my rom and apply updates all i need is to flash them. Im not forced to update to load a new app unlike apple where if your software version isn't what they want then you don't get the app. And so on...no iPhone for me unless they loose the dictatorship control issue they have with it. There computers arnt like that, why the other devices?

T-mobile doesn't, plus the over seas and canada providers for the Iphone aren't capped.
I wouldn't mind an Iphone, but for me to get an Iphone it needs to be at least 4" screen for me, and have flash support.

A lot of apps in the app store only require ios3. It's up to the developer on what os version to support most of the time.
