JDOWNLOAD_IT Mobile (formerly known as Direct Download Search Engine for RS, YT,....) - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello every one (and a happy new year)...
i will try to port my very first app i've developed and shared (discontinued) on XDA (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838140) to Android, and ask you if there is still some interest in there...it will be based upon JDownloader, but for mobile devices...which includes direct downloads from youtube, rapidshare, the Google Hacks Engine and all other requests made by the users at the old thread...
Regards, Jetta20162

I'm sorry...please move this to the Q&A Thread or Android Software Development Thread...Thank You!

I will be most definitely interested in this. Good luck

Free ROM Hosting (autopublishing, liveUpload-progress and more)

What?
andromirror.com is a Free Android ROM Hosting service. The Idea is to provide a simple hosting solution with many (awesome?) Features for both, the user and the developer. Users should not waste their time searching for the changelog or install instructions. And developers should not waste their time (re)uploading a ROM to serveral mirrors, posting the changelog in different places and keep telling ppl where to find the install instructions.
tl:dr Free hosting solution for your android ROMs
Features
User Features:
See Changelog, Install instructions, latest Release and additional Files on one single page
See live upload progress while dev is uploading a new Release (no more F5) (not working right now)
Autogenerated MD5-sum for every file
Developer Features:
Simple Web Interface, for managing your ROM
Automatically publish Release after upload
MD5 check before upload (no upload needed if file exists on server)
Continue Upload after error (lost connection..)
One link for the latest file + changelog. No need to copy and paste on every release.
Live Downloadcounter
Get Download stats
json API
Planed Features:
cyan ota app support
own ota app
Using it

ROM feature comparision - links to official ROM sites, xda threads

Hi
Each day we all can see on forum threads or posts, where people ask for best ROM.
XDA statement on Best ROM / Kernel threads is clear and all such discussions are immediately closed
One of them is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49251083#post49251083
"Best" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.

Mod Edit no need to quote the whole first post
Maybe some non-partial description would go good together with every ROM that is on the list. As in: does it work flawleslly, are the bugs being worked on at the time, etc...
Just a suggestion.

I didn't test all of them
Used by me latest 4.4.2 CM11 and Carbon ROM's works flawlessly without problems.
Maybe i am lucky man, because i have no problems with spontaneous reboots nor with time freezing described by some people.
I am not using any tweaks as Crossbreader, killjoy or PurePerformances etc...
For me our dual-core 1GHz processor is enough
You are lucky I guess. For me the CM11 had clock freezes, random reboots and most recently charging problems (didn't recognise a plugged in charger...)
Thats a good idear so I will find the best ROM for me, thank you!

REQUEST-- :) Create New Forum Regarding All GingerBread Devices Guides

Any Senior Member Please Create New Forum Regarding Galaxy Y/Y Duos/Y Duos Lite Or All GB Devices Thread Where All Guides Are Posted.......Guides Like Moding SystenUI/Framework Etc Etc
only mods can create a new forum
and what works on one device may not work on another even if its the same android version - specially when it comes to smali editing
best thing is to just search for what you are looking for
most guides are posted in the general section with some theming guides in the themes section
