I traveled to Easter Island over the holiday, had a blast taking photos with the Galaxy Camera; it performed well in all conditions (time of day/weather). I uploaded several photos to a imgur gallery.

Besides the wife or GF, the SGC is the ideal travel companion!
Not only does it takes great photos and videos, it lets you do all the normal things a tablet can do.

They are speaking about the Google Pixel Astrophotography Mode. It lengthens the exposure to take good pictures of the night sky.
I don't know if anything works on the 6P, but search Google for "GCam Ports Astrophotography" and some should come up. They might not work, but that is the way to do it if it is possible.
Here is a few samples of photos i have been able to take at night/dusk. One photo has a rather beautiful blood moon.
