[Q] Samsung i5800 locked after flash - Galaxy 3 General

My phone i5800 was sim lock free (network lock OFF), but I flash it with JPB firmware, then phone get blocked. I have to rollback original firmware JG6 from www.samfirmware.com. Now, phone is locked (network lock [on]) for the network VIP (part of Mobilcom Austria) and is working whith other provider (MTS) Telecom mobile Serbia... What is a problem and how to solve this? Help!

Hy Dalek!
I get the same issue last week.
And i found a very simple solution, funny
1, get root
2, with root explorer go to /
3, you will see a dir named efs
4, just delete it
Restart and be happy
Sorry for my english.. :S

I do that, and phone is ulocked, but I can not use any network for data transfer, WiFi and GPRS and 3G... what is a problem?

I think that telecom companies shouldn't block our devices. Because it's your property. I am happy that Orange doesn't block any of them for few years. Shame on the blocking operators

It was alright till I recognize that 3G is not run
I cannot select 2G, 3G or Auto in the Mobile network settings
I've tried to copy edited files into system/etc/motorola/bp_nvm_default (with permission 0777) but it doesn't work
Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem
My phone is rooted. I'm using Blur_Version.1.28.4.MB511.ATT.en.US

[Q] No Cellluar network

Okay, so hear me out guys. I have a I9505 (duh) running the foxhoundrom, but when I tried to update from 2.0 - 3.0 I got a bootloop, but the problem is. When I got out of the bootloop, I didn't have any mobile connections.. (screenshot one) Me being such a dork as I am, thought I could fix it on my own, in the settings for changing Network Operators. It takes ages to load them upm and if I connect to one of them, I get and can use the connectivity for a while. Until I lock my phone and unlock it again actually. I heard something about IMEI? No idea what that is, but my IMEI code found via *#06#
But I have a original sim card, it's right and stuff, I have no idea what happend...
I really need help fixing this..

Firstly, Remove your IMEI number from your post. It's confidential information and someone can use it illegally if they wanted to.
Secondly, To fix your issue of connection the new 4.3 based ROMs need the new MJ5 Modem to work properly.
Flash the MJ5 modem and your problems will be gone

Can I install a RM-938 firmware on my RM-940 device?

Hi! My Lumia 1025 is AT&T RM-940, it is unlocked and I'm using a non-AT&T nano-sim, but I want to install the Country Varian firmware (RM-938).
Is this possible with no issues?

Hi,
You have an NL1520, not 1025
Try with this 059V6W7 RM-938 VAR LTA 7R CV BLACK with this tutorial.
There should not be any problem if you succeed the flash.
It is possible that you get an error FFU at the time of the flash (it's nothing "dangerous"): If this is the case, let me know it.

ROM IN CV is RM-937, you have RM-940.
There is too much difference between RM-940 and RM-937:
- Three band of quadband 3G (HSPA+) are compatible
- Only one band of pentaband 4G (LTE) is compatible
I have Lumia Icon 929
And I want to use it in Ukraine.
But with CDMA carried internet doesn't work

I don't know what you mean by bad IMEI but this normally happens when a phone is stolen , then they blacklist the IMEI , and there is not a real fix for it.
get in contact with the Person/shop where you got the phone and let them fix that for you.
and BTW , by flashing a phone the IMEI will not change, IMEI is like the hardware ID of the phone (on of a kind number)

True, but!
IMEI can be blacklisted for various reasons:
- Reported as stolen (usually results in a global IMEI ban)
- Phone is bought as part of a subscription and the original subscriber does not pay the monthly fees for the phone (IMEI is banned first in the country, then the countries the network provider resides in or has connection with. E.g. AT&T has connections in most European countries, but for example in Romania even blocked IMEIs will work)
- IMEI is flagged for suspicious behaviour - if your device was or is in any suspicious activity (drug deals, child porn, etc.), it can get flagged by the police. Then it can get blocked afterwards.

does the phone detect the SIM card?
if yes, then u can manually connect to the network by going to settings>Mobile network>Network Operators>[your SIM company]

he told me it was fully unlocked, but how do i know for sure ?
ok it appears that i get signal bars but it tells me i cant register on the network, this seems to be a common problem judging from all the vids on yt or google results, but so far none of the solutions presented worked for me ( i still havent flashed anything)
Edit: ok ive flashed 2 roms through odim and problem still persists, help ? the odin files reflash the modem right ?
Edit2: flashed the latest modem file (same problem)
Edit3 : Flashed cm13 problem still persists im beginning to think the imei might be blocked here in portugal, anyone knows of a way to check if it is ?
