Multiple Windows Live Profiles... how'd that happen? :/ - Omnia 7 General

Hi guys... well as you can see by the title, i'm confused as to how this may have happened. I've tried to do a reset (settings > about > reset) but that doesn't seem to rid the thing back to square one... anyone got any ideas? This is really bugging me big time... is there a way to hard reset with bootloader screen like holding certain buttons down with power button as well cus i haven't seen any info on that either
Thanks in advance if someone can help me on this one

SOLVED... full format is...
hold vol DOWN and CAMERA buttons and then power up device... press windows button twice when prompted to wipe the thing!

You're welcome mate. Only took a few battery pulls and trial and errors on my part to guess the right combo! lol
Glad to be of use at last!
*THINK* Now can someone help us Windows XP users out and finally crack this blummin XAP and SDK problem as commented on on many posts i wonder? As luck would have it, probably not!

Universal

I've just gotten my T-Mobile MDA Pro, and i am very happy with it
however, a few things
1. How do i hard reset? being my first WM5 pda, i cant find how to hard reset (total factory reset) the thing...
2. How do i get out of ozVGA?!?? in the last 5 mins i just set it to true vga... how do i get back to normal? soft reset wont work, just keeps rebooting to true VGA... kinda panicking at the moment...
Help would be much appreciated on this one...
<edit>
omg... breath... i have sorted the VGA problem... man i am sweating buckets now
See, ive wanted a Universal ever since the rumours started nearly 2 years ago... and now i have one i nearly brick it in the same day... and the problem in the end was me being a dumbass and not reading the readme
</edit>
Google!
If you must know, press and hold the backlight (lightbulb) button and use the stylus to press the reset button. Hold the backlight until you get a menu with three options. Use the dpad up button to move from item to item, use the down button to select yes or no. Set Clean Registry and Format Storage to YES and press the middle dpad button to reboot. This also works for the QTEK 9100

Hi, thanks for the info.
sorry about the title, I was kinda preoccupied with my malfunctioning PDA... and I guess I should've used the search, too...
But you got VGA working right?
I wasn't sure if you needed any further help on that...

I cannot reset Vista...please help

Hi, I would like to reset Vista but I simply cannot!
I tried pressing F3 button on boot, I see the screen that says to press "Y" to confirm but when I press Y, it reboots by itselft without starting the process.
I have also tried from Vista Control Center, in Advanced Option, I click on the button to reset Windows (not SnapVue), the Shift reboot and Vista boots again...
Am I so stupid?!
Yes, I am so stupid that I have not red carefully what the Shift say:
"Do you want to TERMINATE the process?"
Obviously if I press Yes it exits!
Sorry for the silly post!
It is not so silly, I have this before. I took it to htc care center to fix!

I still get into this situation. That one is really catchy. I pressed Y instead of N few times even on the other day where I was messing around the system to break BT, SD Locks. I was unsuccessful in breaking the BT and SD locks though.
Thanks

can't reset it
!!
Take the battery out. Pop it back in. Hold down both volume up and down and tap the power button (don't hold the power button down though). You should then boot into a menu where you can do a hard reset.
On a similar note though I used to look after some old Windows CE devices that would do the same thing if you clicked too far away from the cross, never tried it on my HD though!

When you hard reset the device, everything is wiped on device apart from OS, so you need to align screen at start to be able to use device once automatic setup has completed.
There is another option as Throys latest roms, R6 & R7 has a complete automatic setup and there is no align screen. You could always try one of these
Try using the tool located at this thread, maybe it helps.

HELP! Phone goes completly black!

Hey guys,
after installing this skin //forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311557 my phone restarts, and turns completly black before entering the entery code...!!!
what the.....!#$????
please help, i can't do everting now....
nobody??
any suggestions to reboot??.. hard reboot (pres both volume keys and hit the power button) doesnt work because i can't enter my pincode.
(sorry for my english)
You shouldn't need your pin code to hard reset (I don't think).
Turn the phone off (pull the battery out if you have to), then hold down both volume buttons and just press the power button for a second. Keep hold of both power buttons.
yeah, hardreset MUST work.

Help, my HD2 won't start after installing and removing banana game.

Hi, could you please help. I installed the banana game then realised that the game wasn't compatible with HD2 as the game was showin g only on 3/4 of the screen and thye sense was unstable. I removed the app and the device switched offf. Sinced the I haven't been able to turn it on all i get is the initial black screen wity the pink ring. It won't resen using up down method and task 29 wont work as it is unable to connect. can anyone help....
what "up down method" its not up then down lol if you want to hard reset turn youre phone off press and hold up and down volume buttons and turn the phone on you should get a grey screen then follow instructions, and task 29 will work if you can get in bootloader but why would you want to wipe the mobile if you dont no what you doing?
and the banana game doesnt really give us much insight does it lol

Hi Demon,
I am glad you find this funny but here I am in tears re: the situation. I meant vol up and down for hard reset but its not working bfore turn on. I chose the task 29 as I am desperate and willing to reset to default setting. I did try vol up and down before turning on my mobile and still not working. See below url for the game downloaded but I didn't downloaded from this site I used the omarket. thanks

No I can't all i am getting is the RGD screen...
Thanks
what do you mean RGD screen, can you post a pic if you have a camera
try taking the battery cover off, and then press the vol up and vol down together, carefully. Make sure you feel the contact as you press it. I struggled at the beginning to make it wiork. the button isn't really meant to bend at both ends, so it feels like you have them both pressed, but dont.
Once you are confident that both ends are pressed, only then tap and release power to start the phone.
ALl being well, 5 or so seconds later the three coloured screen should come up.
Fingers x'd

I tried again and you are right just a tap on the power as before i think i was pressing too hard on the power button ....now I have a gray screen with the following:
This operation will delete all your personal data ......
What should I do now to avoid losing all data...
Thanks
ok, now dont take this the wrong way mate because everyone has done this, but you must be doing it wrong or not catching the buttons right, if you have someone with you, you're easiest option would be turn your phone on as normal take your battery cover off, press and hold both volume buttons and keep holding them, get someone to press the red button near the batter with a pin, that way you have hold of both volume buttons, keep holding them while the phone is restarting and you should get a different screen come up,
like i said its quite tricky to get it the first time.
you cant not loose anything this is youre only option im affriad, but youre phone will work again

hehe, its a bit of a three handed job. I usualy use a thumb on each vol button, and my top lip to press power, lol.
I think sadly your data is gone. I can't think of a way to save it if the phone wont boot.
Plus, if this banana thing did mess your phone up, you want to be sure its gone.
(A good lesson in syncing your data regularly )
If the hard reset doesn't work, then my next steps would be to task29 from bootloader (volume down and power, dont touch vol up) followed by flashing your stock rom over usb.
