i have been trying to sync my HD today and not successfull at all ! it looks like he is asking to put the sim card on, the trouble is i left uk after the end of my contract and put the sim in the bin arriving in france, i just forgot to ask about the unlock code and now i am in australia and would like to unlock it, i bought the software from Olipro but without sync, no unlock
I have vista, last active sync installed. energy rom, firewall on or off still the same, deleted the partnerships in my hd
When i connect it, all it does is read the memory card
I tried to restore from a backup 2 month ago and since it is very slow and not working well, thinking if it's the cause of it ?
Hope i can find some help, i am impress with what some guys can do in this forum, never thank them enough i think !

1st of all: YOUR SITE IS GREAT. I am using it since the 1st day. As i stay in PDA business (distributing - software developement - cooperation with gsm providers), i always found useful answers to different issues of HTC devices.
sadfully i never had much time for posting, as i´m always very busy. from now on i will try to support users of this forum as good as i can, as now i have some spare time, because we expanded our company and more people are working with me .
This just to introduce myself.
so: nice to meet you all, and excuse my bad english.
My actual problem, which i already saw in another post, but mine is slightly different:
On my universal (MDA PRO German) after every softreset, the configured pop3 mail account disappears.
i´ve tried some different ROMs (a older testing Rom from t.mobile, a newer qtek rom - dont ask me to upload it / sorry i cant. But its the same as the latest jasjar rom, so don´t be sad , and, of course, the latest imate jasjar rom)
now the strange thing is that with the jasjar rom, sometimes after a softreset the account remains, but the all the messages (received, sent, deleted) are gone.
so: MAIL ACCOUNT Vanishing: sometimes.
MAIL messages vanishing: after every soft reset.
the much more strange thing is the following: i friend of mine had a VPA IV (vodafone edition), with the same problem. He flashed the same ROM as i did, and on his device the Problem was solved.
Any ideas?
after reading all the posts regarding UNIVERSAL, i am very surprised that there are just so few posts about this isssue. aren´t you guys using email on this great device, or os it just mine having this problem?

1. i did all the different rom upgrades with the maupgradenoID... Maybe THATs the problem? maybe this utility is flashin somehow in another way.
2. now i have the latest jasjar rom on my mda pro. but now, if i try to upgrade, it gives me "country ID error" each time! EVEN IF I TRY TO FLASH THE SAME ROM AS THE ONE ON MY DEVICE !! why that

wow another new symptom. i don´t have that...
and than: if my accouunt disappears, i CAN reconfigure it without any problems even with the same account name! Not like other users sayin they CAN`T use the same account name again.... I CAN. but after the next Softreset it´s gone to nirvana again....

ok that whats happen i bought my htc 7 months ago there was sim lock on orange need to unlock it for o2 pay on ebay and got it unlocket by some code with i had to put
phone was working perfect till one day... one week ago no signal! still can connect with internet but no possible to make phone call or send msg!

My Universal is an xda exec, i bought it (second hand) and it would sometimes work with a 3 sim card and sometimes not. I tried and failed to put a new rom on it so had to ask my brother to fix it. He did and put an old 6.1 version on it. This rom would reconise my 3sim straight away no problems.
I have now upgraded to tomal 8.something and its back to not reconising the 3sim. I had it working last night with the free sim after randomly changing settings. I then installed a media streamer because tomal doesnt come with 1(strange by the way) but yotube no longer gave me the option to 'play' the video.
How do I get the this to work with my 3 sim card?
Are there a setof instructions I should follow in a certain order? before i just played with them randomly constantly swopping backwards and forth between my 02 and 3 sim untill it reconised it, which seemingly by itself it would.... but now it wont.
Is there a program or app I can store on my SD card for the next time I have to hard reset?
I know it works with 3 because the other rom did and both the original and this 1 does when it wants to. Now I am having to use my old crappy sony ericsson and I hate it. Help me out please people, for this I promise given the program or correct instructions order I will donate.
When you have read this if you know or not please leave a comment on what you think is going on, right or wrong, its doing my head in big time.

my only internet access is my 2 phones, Im writing this with the execm with the internet limited 02 sim in the exec while my unlimited 3sim is in the joke of a phone w580i.
Reading instructions on here are hard work and stressful lol The search button on this site never directs me where I want to go.

I was on a cal and suddenly it ended up.then i saw tat thr was no network.dono y all of a sudden my network went down.thn restarted the phone many times and stil the status shows as 'Phone Off'......after tat i had hard resetted the phone.stil my phone does not recognize the network signals..i dono wat to do.is it any hardware problem in my phone or i hav to do anything with internal softwares....

perhaps somebody can help me, too. I've similar the same problem like Sridhar Rajan. My network signal lost the most time.
I bought my I8000 (second hand) by the net a few month ago. First time I think everything is o.k. till I recognized that nobody call me. The look on the phone, let me see that I have no network signal most time at different places outside and inside.
So I take a e-mail to the Samsung-Support. They communicate me that I take a Full reset with the *2767*3855# Code. So I do so, but nothing happens. At the second time I give it to the Service-Center in my town. After 2 month it came back to me, not repaired with the notice that the phone comes from Malaysia and Samsung give no garanty in such a fall. I take another try an send it to another Service of Samsung. 2 weeks later it comes back with the notice, not repaired because the phone is not for the european market.
I read a lot of threads in many foren, but the right answer for my problem i didn't found. I read that somebody change the mainboard and everything was o.k. Somebody use the wrong hole on the phone for reset and damaged the antenna. Perhaps the old owner do so, but now I have change the antenna to a new one and it's not better.
I flash the Software/Firmware from WM 6.5 (so I bought it) to WM 6.1, to Android Froyo an at this time to WM 6.5.3.
The first Software was I8000NXXIJ9 (WM 6.5), than I8000NXXJJ1 (WM 6.5) (latest for the european market), than I8000XXIH5 (WM 6.1) and today the I8000NXXJE1 (WM 6.5.3).
At this time I didn't now, what I can do also.
What is the different for a phone which ist for the european market and which not. I think it is a Quad-Band-Phone which worked at the most places in the world.

I've sorted the problem and seeing as no one has replied I thought you may a well remove the post.
I'm running my HD2 on a NAND NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.8 ROM. Apart from a couple of minor clitches, a;;'s been fine. One thing I've not tried was using a different sim card until last night. I needed to activate a PAYG Orange sim so swapped it over but nothing....I tried my Tesco Mobile sim and it was fine then tried another working sim (3) and that wasn't recognized either. My old sim's back in and working for the mo but I'm due to receive a new one and really don't want to be without a working phone - I'd like to try and suss this before the sim arrives if poss.
I've done a couple of searches for answers to this problem and the only issues I see are people who's phones don't recognize their sims after flashing or sometimes after hard resets but nothing mentioning problems with different sim's not being recognized after swapping.
Any suggestions as to what's the best course of action?
I unlocked the phone via a code from eBay before moving from Windows 6.5 to my new ROM - could that be something to do with it?
