Brightness notification bar slider in any ROMs? - Vibrant General

I have been really enjoying the ROMs developed by users (Team Whiskey, Devs4Android, etc) but the one thing I really miss is the notification bar brightness slider. I've been searching for a way to use this on the ROMs but have come up with nothing. Is this possible to do for the lay ROM loader or must the devs implement this? Perhaps I just missed discussion on the topic elsewhere.
Thanks!
::edit:: so I just figured it out. I guess that you just have to hold you finger in place over the notification bar for a while before sliding in the newer roms. I guess that saved from accidentally changing brightness. The more you know....

I'm on Nero v3 and its working for me.

Quik question (or two) for any MIUI users

Hi all,
Just switched from CM to MIUI and so far quite liking the change. There are a couple of features from CM which I am missing a little and wondered whether there were any mods for them:
Ability to change brightness quickly by pulling top bar down slightly and adjusting left and right. Is there a patch around for this?
Abilitiy to tweak auto-brightness levels
Any other tips about MIUI worth knowing?
Cheers,
MIchael
try changing your toggle settings to page instead of compact. As for tweaking the auto settings..not sure about that

cheers for the reply... should have been more specific. On CM (and my last phone - Galaxy S) it was possible to pull the notification bar down slightly and then drag left to right to adjust. Was always nice an easy to do when out and about in bright sunlight when you cant see anything on the screen.
a brightness slider in the notification bar? ive never seen this but im interested
i thought the button in the notification bar was the only option

what I am talking about isnt a visible slider... its quite hard to explain but is demonstrated in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgIaVNzwhjk . Its an option you can turn on somewhere in the CM settings
also, have found how to adjust auto-brightness levels in MIUI so ignore that request, just need to see if this brightness slider is possible.
Pull down the notification shade. If it is in page view, hit the backlight button. Once you hit the backlight button, a slider will appear on the bottom of the shade and you can adjust the brightness. It will be there any time you adjust the shade.
If your shade is in toggle view, put it in page view by hitting Settings>personal>toggle>page
Hope that helps
U can set max brightness by pressing together menu button and volume up
understand what you are asking for since I use CM a lot
but not available that way in MIUI yet
Actually, cyber, my slider don't even work

[Q] How to add move cursor with volume feature to any rom?

Hi!
In CNA rom I noticed a feature that you can move cursor with volume controls while in text box. That was just great, but its missing from Dark Knight's 4.0.4 that I'm using now. Is there any way to add just that feature to the rom by myself?
Another thing I'm missing is brightness adjustment from top/status bar. In Jetpack rom I could hold my finger in top row and move left/right to adjust the brightness of the screen really fast and easy. That was great, but cannot do it in Dark Knight's new rom.
All props and thanks to nasif619 tho. This Dark Knight 4.0.4 rom is just rocking!

I think it can do now (correct me if I'm wrong). Most of rom with ICS 4.0.4 has a notification bar with brightness control.
But for Volume control I have no idea too. I myself also search for people who can help me with volume adjustment on call since it is too loud like I open speaker when I make a call

[CM9][STATUS/NOTIF BAR MOD] [DEV] Reloaded ICS 1.9b3-041012 | CM9 UI Enhancements

I posted this yesterday in the CM9 thread, but in case some people didn't see it, here's a nice mod I found in the Android Software Dev thread that let's you customize just about everything in your status bar and notification drawer. Works perfectly on our phones just flashing over cm9 (i'd wipe chache/dalvik 1st though). Probably will take a little time to set it up just right, but once you do, it's a real babe.
here ya go - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531222
If u plan on using this mod to make a reddish theme, try flashing this theme I modded for us - http://db.tt/0ciguWu5 - screenshots (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1561544)
I love AOKP but the missing data toggles really bother me lol. This is perfect addon for cm9.
Hopefully someone figures out how to get the 4g toggle to appear or patch it so it does.

hell yeah, this is just what i've been looking for!
excellent work!
This is schweet! gives me a volume and brightness slider in the notification tray just like I've always wanted. The custom colors option is fantastic too.

[SystemUI] Status Bar/Notification Drawer issues after modifications

Greetings people,
As TW Lollipop has landed, most of the devs have been trying to brew ROMs for the people, and unfortunately there is no control as what MODS should be included, i have found it terribly difficult to choose a ROM as it didnt feel normal to use mods that made no sense (or at least have a minority audience).
Particularly, what annoys me a lot, is dealing with the mods that change the visual space available, now there is no need to blame devs here at all, but rather Sammy should be here to blame for just trying to make a normal UI into a complex useless UI in to their own, and they have effed it up with the new Notifications Drawer.
While i noticed a lot of devs have found options/parameters to change the view of the notification drawer, a lot of ROMs include a very annoying feature called Quicklaunch, however im pretty sure a lot of people like it. While Quicklaunch in my personal opinion sucks, it looks way better compared to S-Finder and Quick Launch buttons. I personally lack any kind programming/scripting skills, but luckily, thanks to a nice dev called @alfaroolg with a similar taste, he brewed it for me straight away.
This is what i planned on seeing:
Remove S-Finder and Quick Connect
Remove 3minit Quicklaunch
Remove the Brightness Bar
Currently, im on @g00h s Note 4 Port, which makes me believe that the Brightness Bar is not removable anymore as i could not find the setting on either the Display settings or Notification Panel editor, HOWEVER, the brightness bar disappears if under 5% battery so you cant push the brightness up, and to my surprise, found out sammy screwed up adopting to the Lollipop rules.
This is how it looks without S-Finder/QuickConnect and Quicklaunch: First Pic
This is what happens with the same configuration, under 5% battery after the Brightness Bar disappears: Second Pic
And to my surprise, if there are any Notifications going on, things return well: Third Pic
Is this a general issue Sammy mustve skipped? quite an eye catcher. Also, the area where the brightness bar disappears, usually Notifications get the place, and the first Notification is not Swipeable, i end up clicking the notification rather then removing it, and it can result in very unpleasant moments.

Dynamic colors for ambient display headers

Don't know if this is at all possible now, but does anyone remember when Android N-ify came out? One of the features I loved about using it was the way that the headers in ambient display would keep the color of the corresponding app while the rest of the screen was black. It really helped me at a glance to know what the notification was about without having to pick it up, not to mention how cool it looked.
I had hoped that this feature would have been apart of nougat but it wasn't and it seems that no custom ROM to date has tried or been able to incorporate this into their ROMs
I guess what I'm asking is if there's a way to bring this feature back to give those ROMs and our device a bit more flare?
