How long does it take your G2 to charge? - G2 and Desire Z General

Just curious since it died on me earlier today, plugged it in at 7 and it took till 11 p.m to charge to 100%. I know that's only 4 hours, but its disappointing because my iPhone 4 really only takes an hour and a half.
How long does your guys take? The phones battery is calibrated and I really need a phone that can zip up real fast when it comes to battery consumption.

On the wall plug my Z takes about 2hrs from 15%. The pc usb takes about a third more time. I find the charge is more complete or more full if that makes sense when charged from the pc.

90-120 mins seems to be the norm for me.

Would you guys think its the battery? Do you turn the phone off? This phone seems to take an eternity.

Not compared to the g1.. that thing took 12 hours to charge.

Install one of the battery meter apps on your phone that displays a percentage charge. Then you will be able to see what is going on, e.g. if it is just charging very slowly overall, or if it charges quite quickly but takes forever to do the last few percent.

Juice Plotter is pretty good for checking that kinda things. charge/discharge time etc.

Mine normally takes 3-4 hours

What are you charging it from? USB on computer or plugged into the wall socket? Is it the one that came with the phone? I've noticed all of these things can make a difference in charging time.
Juice Plotter is a good program as the others said and may help figure out what is going on.

If I left mah phone charging alln8 ....will it hv bad effects on my phone
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
no, when it is charged 100%, it stops charging.
Frequently charging overnight will decrease the battery life . It will be long term effect.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Yes, it will. Charge only when the battery is low, and remove from the charger as soon as poss after charging is done.
Hmmm.. Iam charging always by leaving the phone connected to the charger for the night and I think it doesnt make any difference. My battery holds about 2 days, with wifi on, 1hour of talking and using communicator, so it isnt so bad.

battery

it takes ages to charge up the battery is this good or bad?
Use the charger provided by Samsung... suffice to say, the Note comes with a sizeable battery..twice the size of most phones and so if you use the battery it needs to be recharged
But what's your definition of ages to charge?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
It takes a minimum of 3.5 hrs to charge from 0-100%.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
3.5h at least. If you charge through usb, then it may take considerably more.

If you charge it with a PC via USB, even with the battery at 100% it will last considerable less than with the original Samsung charger..

The stock charger is terrible.
Takes too long to charge. I swear my iPad takes less time to fully charge.
I use Hyperion 2600ma batteries. Got two with a charger for around $20. They charge fast with the included wall charger

I use a Stock charger at home and a HTC Titan charger at work, both seem to work pretty well.
PC or Car charger will take _forever_ to charge, and in fact if I'm using Navigation in the car, the battery will discharge faster than the car can charge it. (this really blows..)
Can take a few hours to fully charge with the samsung lead from note to power. Never seems to get fully charged in the car - well maybe in 4 to 5 hrs. But the battery last long and so can't really complain.

Nexus 7 very slow to charge?

Hello everyone, I have a new nexus 7 and love it, but it seems to take way too long to charge. After a full discharge, my tablet takes more them 24 hours to charge. I have drained my battery twice to the point that my nexus powers off. Then I plug in, some back after more then a nights rest and still not fully charged? Not sure what'd going on, but this does not seem normal....

try a different outlet or a different charger? to make sure its not the n7 that's having an issue.
Great idea! I should have thought of that, now I feel like a retard....lol

I'm in the same boat. It makes no sense. I've called Google Play support once already because it randomly died at over 30%. This last time I was using it I was at I assume over 20% since the battery level wasn't red and then it made the noise that battery was low and then turned off. What is the proper way to calibrate a battery since there are 90 million different ways if you search Google. I am running stock, rooted 4.1.1 btw. The last person's suggestion and lols following are not uncommon nowadays on xda, we just need some real solutions, thanks.
I feel my Nexus 7 is slow to charge, but it does do so overnight.
When plugged in to the charger and cord provided by google/asus, under Settings/Battery it says it is charging(AC), though once it did say charging (usb).

[Q] battery charge time

could anyone tell me a few details about, how long it takes to fully charge the G2?
3000mh sounds like a lot of charging time, right?
Not exact time but ours fast if you use the official chargers or anything with a 1.8 amp to 2 amp.

Actually, it's not long at all. This is my fourth day with this phone and each day I'm more impressed with the charge time, I have been letting my phone battery drop down to 15% before charging and on average I have been getting a full charge in a little under 2 hours while using its original charger. I am genuinely in shock and disbelief at the rapid charge time on this beast of a device, it has to do with the new Snapdragon 800 processor. I love this phone ?
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yeah, from 0-100% it takes about 2 hours
Well if you disturb the phone and use it while charging it takes super long. Like almost 4 hours.

Battery draining

I bought nexus 4 a week back and battery is draining fast
Please tell me whether these stats are normal for a nexus or should I ask for a replacement

It's hard to tell from the info you've posted. But you're screen is on all the time so it looks pretty normal. How much screen on time to you get?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
2.5 hours of screen on time and taking 5 to 6 hours for full charge

2.5 hours is on the low end of normal, but not unheard of. When charging are using usb? That sounds right. If you're using ac that's long. When charging go to settings, battery and it'll show ac or usb charging

I'm not sure if you're using a wall charger or not. If you are your cable is probably bad. It could also be your charger

I have also tested it with Samsung and Motorola chargers but it's taking lot of time to charge
Hot Google Nexus 4. Yikes! Help!
So I dialed in *#*# 4636*#*#, went to battery information and Holy F*ck.I was just downloading an app or two on the Play Store. (My hands feel like they've been bitten by red ants.) I am seriously gonna lose it on this phone I actually plan on putting it on the freezer the next time this occurs. I just finished doing a factory reset btw so..
