[Q] problem while checking balance - Galaxy 3 General

Hi everyone,
Last week only i have purchased galaxy 3(GT-I5801).
I'm having problem with it.
I'm using AIRCEL connection, to check for balance i dialed *111# galaxy3 , the screen shows "USSD code running" after that nothing displays about balance.
First i thought it would be problem with service provider(AIRCEL), I called them and asked about this, they told that there is no problem with their service.
After that i checked with other service provider(VODAFONE), its also shows the same "USSD code running" after that nothing displays about balance.
Actually whenever a call ends AIRCEL will show up last call cost,etc details. In galaxy 3 its not showing up.
As this is occurring this week only. last week when i purchased, all details shown neatly no problem. now problem is there...?
Kindly help me to get rid of this, as i want to check my pocket internet usage i need this.

disable ur mobile tracker from menu>settings>location & security.. i hav d same prob a month ago..

i hav d same prob but it is resolved now...
switch off ur mobile tracker ..
do not turn on ur mobile tracker ..

it will work try now..

Htc p3400 sim problem....

Most of the times i am not able to send or recieve sms and sometimes its giving a warning wait for 15 seconds phone is not ready, it comes per day atleast 5 times, and then no signal for some time.
If i restart this is the message
Your current settings do not match with the active network in use. You may not be able to access all network services until this is corrected. Apply correct network settings now?
Your current operator (40441) is not supported. You should obtain an update from your device vendor. Would you like to select another network provider?
Then its searching and tells its not there and ask to choose other network.
I am in chennai and using aircel prepaid.
Well i changed to Airtel its the same. but since airtel was in the network setting it dint show any error, but its still same. it will hang.
Now i tried vodafone, its perfectly working, i enabled the gprs, everything is fine. Just want to know wats the problem and how to rectify. And to work it on all networks. Its in warranty.
Sorry: i dont know where to post so i made a new thread. Please help.

Me too had the same problem, Am using Airtel (Chennai). First when i newly bought this phone (HTC) iam not able to send messages properly. also i cant able to receive calls properly. After that i came to know that there's a compactibility problem with airtel and HTC. Temporarily they provide a software for this problem, we can update this software in authorized service centers. I updated the software, after updation the call problems are solved fully, also message problem was reduced... but still am not satisfied with the messaging service. The service person said they working on providing a permanent solution, so soon we can expect the software upgrade which solves this problem permanently, except the messaging service the phone is good ! thanks !

Do u have the update file..Mine is a different problem..I keep loosing signal majority of the times..u have any solution??

Urgent Help: Xperia sends multiple Text SMS

I am using Sony Xepira ( Middle -East) black & while sending text msg, receipient get same 2-4msgs....which cause problems? & my bills gets charged unfortunately.. Can someone help me with the urgent solution?
it's possible to be from your network , so it gives "unsent" status to your phone , and the phone tryes to send it again , and again until it receives "sent" from your network.
This might be a solution , i am not shure of it.
Dear it's nothing related to my network, beacuse when I remove the SIM from my X1 & insert it in another mobile and it works perfect ..
I went to my network provider & we made the testing , it's from the X1 mobile..it might be software problem ...not only my mobile but few friends of mine are facing the same issue...
Can anyone help me with this issue?

I too have similar issues only using my X1 and would be keen to understand this as my provider is also saying they cannot see a problem in the network and it only happens with the X1.

It's not a network provider problem, it's something related to the X1
You could either try a hard reset, perhaps you installed something wrong.
If that doesn't work, you could go a step further and flash it - but I'm not sure if that is what you want to do
The final option is always returning it to the factory, asking a new one.
some of my old phones done this when i went holiday to cyprus.

[Network] loss of connection on Orange Network, need help

Hi there,
I am confronted with a big issue which affects my ability to place or even receive calls: I cannot connect my HTC HD on the Orange Network anymore.
Two weeks ago I was on the road using TomTom and suddenly Windows Mobile told me that the distant server was disconnected and that I was not connect to the network anymore. Each time I am trying to get a connection, I can see that the mobile detects a network, tries to register (I even can see the Edge icon and some network bars) but always fall back to the 'not connected' icon.
The weird thing is that the mobile detects all the networks it is intended to: Orange, Bouygues and SFR (the three main operators).
Since that day, I have tried everything to re connect the mobile on Orange network but nothing was successfull:
- many and many reboots of the mobile,
- I have suppressed the Orange network connection in the connection wizard and then re created it.
- I have switched the network connection to manual and tried to connect manually: as for auto mode, it displays the following message:
"cannot connect to the selected network. Choose another network or stop you data connection and try again"
- I have switched the band mode from auto to "GSM (900+1800)"
- I have done hard resets
- I have changed the ROM two times: the first one for an up to date Mia and the second time for a Rhodyum 1.1 (the one I am using now).
- I have called the hotline to check if the problem is coming from their devices ; apparently not the case
- I have put my SIM card on another mobile and its working. A different SIM on my HD is not working. I even have changed my SIM card !
I am really desperate now because I do not know where the problem could come from. Should I do something else ? How can I be sure that it comes from my mobile ?

OK, here's the short answer:
your phone's a nicked device and it's on the IMEI blacklist.
the other possibility is that the contract didn't get paid off so the provider blocked it because of that.

I appear to be having the same problem, I checked via that site and it didnt flag anything up, it was all clean. The problem started yesterday afternoon.

Taking my frustrations out on the 'legitimate' Ebay seller as we speak and searching for a replacement.

Hi i got the same story but i was using the phone for 7 months and after one day no service... how is that possible? and how i can sort it out? i bought it on ebay its possible that as you sayed contract is not payed... but what i can do? if the imei its black listed if i change imei will unblock the phone? phone had simlock on orange now iam using o2 i think after or now when i upload new rom imei changed for extra 2 digitals 01... i tryed

the problem is if this "legitimate" ebay seller, sold it to you before the contract was paid to orange, legally the phone belongs to orange, therefore you've bought stolen goods. Hope you used Paypal, they might offer some protection.

what about if i was using phone for half year and everything was ok and not its happen?

[help-xda II mini]cant check balance

please help me...
FYI i am using O2 XDA II mini WM.6.1 which totally in good conditions, i use XL(excelcomindo) simcard which existed in indonesia. but i having problem with this, i cant check my balance through *123# which will give me automatic reply by text report, i never received these information, except notify "command sent". so, if i want to check my balance, i need to make a call to 123 which reported by automatic voice.
and also i don't have any problem with my simcard, it work on another phone.

X10 gets disconnected from network after sometime

Hello Friends,
Is there anybody who can help with my problem.
X10 bought from Hong Kong is having some problem, handset leaves network and shows x sign at the signal in the notification bar.
I am using this phone in India. After usage of few hours phone gets disconnected from network and if phone is restarted it will start working normally for few hours.

The same thing happend to my friends X10 who bought it on the "Second hand" Market.
It turned out it was stolen and had the IMEI Banned!...
So i guess it could have happend to u too if ur carrier imports IMEI bans from other countries...
