if i deleted the motoblur sticky notes widget and the motoblur weather widget... can i put them back... since i can't get rid of them in the motorola widget menu?
or maybe someone knows what else i have to delete to totally get rid of them?

Now, that a Froyo port is comming to Desire I would like to use LauncherPro together with Froyo. The only thing I will actually miss from SenseUI is the FriendStream widget.
Does anyone know a good replacement for this widget?

I'm looking for some widgets to replace the HTC ones, ie. to use LauncherPro (which I find really nice) instead of the Sense UI.
Best thing would be to have a port of those widget.. but since they use Rosie.. I suppose is no go.
So, is there something like:
- contacts widget: auto-sync with FB images and notify status updates
- friendstream: just a textarea to directly post on facebook would be enough..
and maybe a nice looking google search widget.. (instead of the white one which is awful).. and weather widget.. :O

How do I go about doing this... my wildfire is already root'd with the puzzle ROM... but I want to get rid of the default lock screen for good...

Just delete Rosie.apk from /system/app/ and restart phone.

That won't remove the lockscreen, it will remove the Sense launcher.
You could remove HtcLockScreen.apk from /system/app, but you'd be left without a lockscreen as there are no others on the phone. Try lockscreen replacement apps on the market
yea,got that, but what seems to happen is the default lockscreen is shown first before the replacement pops up.

I have widget locker but the problem is if I wake it up quickly after it has gone to sleep (and sometime even if I leave it a while) it shows the home and the default lock screen before the wigetlocker lock screen.

I haven't poked at it too much, I just installed a different homescreen app, removed all of the Social apps, and removed all of the apps with blur widgets. Phone seems to be much faster, so I haven't gone further at the moment.

Which blur widgets are you speaking of?
I don't have a full list offhand, but I'm sure I'll break something and need to reflash, and I'll keep track of exactly what I've been removing... I know stickynotes was one, and the toggle widgets for wifi/etc that I can't recall the name of. I get rid of Phone Portal, as well, as I never use it.
I used the latest version of super one click (2.1.1) to root my phone then followed this thread to remove bloatware and motoblur.

BUT what they don't tell you and what I had to learn the hard way was doing this also removes the default launcher. I rebooted my phone and the screen was completely black I could only see/use the status bar. After a few mins of panic I found out I could pull up voice command by double tapping the home button and using the command "go to market place" downloaded go launcher ex and was set to go. I would recommend installing this before removing the bloatware and motoblur to avoid this problem I had.
Did you do this to a flipside running the 2.2 upgrade?
Can this widget be removed? Is there an apk that I can delete to get rid of it? Thanks.
