Vodafone find and Go Navigation - Trophy General

Just came to know that Orange has started to roll out navigation software. I am using Mozart and downloaded Orange Maps working charm but I am on Vodafone contract and looking to use Vodafone find and go equivalent to orange maps, Can some one help and guide me if this is possible as I tried to download from vodafone and received a message device not recognized, of course its not a Trophy but same OS (Windows 7).
Thanks in advance

Navigon will release in early 2011 its navigation software for all windows phone 7 devices. Currently if your provider is not supporting it you will not get it. Same here in germany. Telekom offers it, Vodafone not ...

Switching Networks

I hope this hasn't been asked before but I cannot find an answer at the moment.
I purchased the universal as an O2 Exec 12 months ago, and I have switched networks to Orange now.
I would like to continue using the handset - so my thinking was I could download the SPV-M5000 ROM from Orange, and flash the handset to enable it to use my new SIM.
Would this process work or is the operator lock HW based rather than SW?
Many thanks

can u please tell us where did u buy the spv-m700 and in what price please ?
thanks
Hi
it was free !!! can you believe it, with orange contract for £25 a month,
just tried the orange sat nav from webraska ( www.webraska.com, they have an orange part to their website)
but GPRS coverage is rubbish where I live ( 50 miles from the start of the industrial revolution, I get better coverage in Morocco)
the orange sat nav update the maps constantly as you drive, but stops when signal is bad , just when you need it, so it looks like tom tom for me.
GPS gets a fix with 5 sats when I am in my living room, I have 4 different other GPS and none will even get a fix next to the window, very impressive

just to add,
most of the orange shops got them on friday afternoon ( in UK)
I rang 150 for orange upgrade, they said delivery Tuesday, but I couldn't wait that long, so first shop I rang ( Crewe) had two in stock,
also
on orange upgrade via phone they only wanted a 12 month contract but in the shop it was 18months, I wasn't going to walk out of the shop without it, so signed for 18.

i am in uk this coming weekend where can i buy at the best price sim free ?
Nice to see orange took their time and have the gps all in the rom waiting for you. If the black version of the M700 is wear resistant your wait will be well worth it.
what version is the rom, radio & bootloader?
can u do us a dump of the rom, please?
can you point me to a thread , with some instructions, I haven't the time to surf to it and read loads of stuff,
the Beadster
Ok,
ROM is 1.23.61.5
radio is 1.30.00.01
rom is dated 25 jan 07
model number is TRIN100
the beadster
please see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=285871 for details on how to dump the rom

An easier way for some (especially those of us who don't use ActiveSync like Mac users ) may be to launch Orange World, and in your IE favourites you will find a bookmark for Orange Sat Nav... you can download the software there (2.1MB)....
I have done so, and launched it, however I don't seem to be connecting to a satellite when attempting... any ideas anyone?
Cool but...
Why did I wake up and go to work so late today ?

Hmmmm... could be to do with the fact I was indoors on the 1st floor of a 30 storey office block?!
Worked perfectly outdoors though! D'Oh!
I have been waiting months for Orange to produce this phone but before I go ahead and buy, I'd really like to hear from new purchasers about the various glitches that have bedevilled the P3600:
1) Can it take 4Gb memory cards without chewing the information on them?
2) Can it handle mp3 files without eliminating the bass frequencies?
3) Does the phone work OK with a Bluetooth headset?
It would also be handy to know if anyone else bar Beadster has managed to buy it with a £25/m contract (BTW thanks for the info), so I can quote this in our local branch.
Ta muchly,
Verdi

Can you post the link for the Orange Sat Nav?
Although I have access to Orange World, because I didn't buy the device from Orange, I don't have the link stored in my favourites.
Thanks KAHA fot the precious link !!!!!
Nobody seems to have had a look at this link but they should have had!
I'm going to test it right now!!!

t-mobile WM6

Hi, i'm new to this forum.
I'm having trouble updating my vario 2 to wm6. I would like the official version from t-mobile uk but when I'm taken to the htc website (http://member.htc.com/member/ProductRegistration.aspx) and try to register my mda i get this message:
Unable to register your serial number. The serial number you entered is not for an HTC branded product.
Register your product today to get free updates, applications and drivers.
You can only register HTC-branded devices (e.g. HTC Touch or HTC S620 ) here. If you purchased your device (e.g. T-Mobile Dash or Orange SPV E650) from a mobile operator, please check with your mobile operator if they have their own product registration service.
have they removed the update???
Does any body have the t-mobile installer that they could send to me or could u show me a link to get it from plz? I would really apreciate it.
thanks
Sean
Hi,
I'm new here too. I upgraded to WM6 a few days ago and I love it. I didn't register but I didn't know you had to.
Anyway here is the copy I used and it worked great:

Hey Seanie you have to go through T-mobile UK website to get the rom update. Not through the HTC website.
thx gareth824 it works great.

Orange Branding + Misc.

Hello,
i just switched from an Xperia X1 (which was quite disappointing) to the HD. I bought mine off of ebay, however it was originally with orange (im a uk resident). I then unlocked it to all networks (as i am currently on O2). The problems i have are the following:
- As i remember from my xperia, the phone automatically found my O2 data connection and configured itself. This however tells me that my carrier is not in its database.
- When the phone starts up it displays the orange logo, and since it is on orange, it does not have msn messenger.
Is there a way to get it back to the original settings, as if i bought it completely unbranded?
Thanks in advance.
Hard Reset?
Hi, would a hard reset not sort this out?
Hold volume up and volume down and press the power button (when the phone is off) Then confirm you want to reset.
Hope it works.
i browsed a bit on the forum and apparently i need to flash a new rom. which is the latest WWE out there? i found 1.19.831.0, but mine is 1.19.61.1, so it would lead me to believe i have a newer one.
any suggestions?

Mine's from Orange with MSN Messenger
Have they stopped it now?
Yea You just need to reflash the device, If you go through the wiki you will find the latest stock rom and if your feeling adventurous read into hard spl and some of the custom roms on this site.

My Orange branded HD came with Messenger installed too.
The only thing i can see that it was missing was google maps.

New rom for Vodafone UK

New rom for Vodafone UK devices from HTC Enjoy
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportDownloadList.aspx?p_id=314&act=sd&cat=2
Does this ROM contain all the apps supplied when buying the phone from Vodafone, like MS Office, Outlook etc?
Also any idea if it voids the Vodafone warranty - just seems strange how its not on the Vodafone website.
Thanks Simon
Brilliant - any idea what functionality this adds? Or is it just a radio update?
I'm wondering if someone can upload the rom somewhere.
Thanks a lot
I installed this ROM and lower buttons stopped working. I'm also not able to make calls.
