[Q] Need help restoring droid x with a nandroid backup - Droid X General

I think I may have accidently deleted my nandroid backup. Can anyone help upload me a 2.2.1 OTA updated backup please. I am currently running 2.2.1 OTA with fission but I am trying to go back to normal.

find the .32 sbf then to the system only sbf to .340

look in your clockwork folder in backup on your sdcard is there a folder like 2010-00-00 or somthing like that if so then your backup is there

no its not there i know for a fact i dont have it

It's a horrible idea to put someone else's nandroid backup on your phone lol

Ya, not a good idea to share nandroids. Did you already check your clockworkmod folder in your file manager.

[Q] Accidentally deleted my live wallpapers! Help!

I rooted my phone and started deleting bloatware but I accidentally deleted my live wallpapers. Can someone tell me how to get them back without flashing the bomb?...It doesn't work for me for some reason.
is it just the .apk that you deleted? If so just push the back or restore your nandroid backup...you do have a nandroid backup right?
I do not have a nandroid backup. I did this before we had a recovery. I've tried to upload the .sbf but it doesn't work for me for some reason.
Nevermind. I just flashed epic 1.1 and now I have exactly what I want.

OMG HELP!!!

Hello everyone. How do I download liberty toolbox?
re-download your rom and then reflash?
Did you make a nandroid back up with bootstrap? If you didn't, then whatever it was that you backed up were apps and such, there is no backing up without some kind of nandroid backup. If you did boot into ClockwordMod Recovery, go to backup and restore, Restore and there should be the file you backed up.
You will have to start over with the fresh slate you have and if you bricked your phone or something is not working propertly, you will have to SBF with the full SBF .320 file with RSD Lite 4.8 or greater.
Goodluck.
I did the same thing. Just gonna have to reflash liberty. Good thing is you dont have to wipe data or cache if your still on liberty.

You are running liberty rom correct? And if so, you can get it from the market.

Yup, there's an updated toolbox in the market. It fixes some minor issues with v1.0

[Q] Upgrade from 2.3.340 Rooted

My droid x is running 2.3.340 and is rooted. I would like to update it to the newest Gingerbread (4.5.602) prerooted. I just have a few questions.
Will the update erase everything on my phone/sd card? If I am backed up via the bootstrapper, can I use the backup to restore things or will that just restore me onto Froyo? If I won't be able to restore in that way, what can i use to backup?
Thanks so much!
I'm pretty sure that if you try to restore your CWM from froyo, it wont work on GB. You'll have to load GB and make a new backup. Titanium backup, however, should be able to restore your apps.
Yeah use titanium to back up your apps and that should restore just fine. Restoring from CWM might brick your phone since your switching between the two versions

want to come back to original gingerbread

hi everyone
as the title said i just want to remove my cm7 from endless and restore my original gingerbread
i have a backup of my files/system but i don't know how to restore them
i have to flash the correct sbf file before or after restoring the system?
edit: i fell like an idiot, didn't see the topic for questions, can someone merge my question with it?
i think that you can use original SBF again to come back to original rom
i never test that, its a suposition
i think that too but i don't know in wich order
restore gingerbread->flash sbf
or
flash sbf->restore gingerbread
Wipe Data then flash sbf then restore.
But if you did a full nandroid backup with CWM you can just restore it.
i dont' know if it is a full nandroid backup
i have those files: boot.img, cache.img, data.img, nandroid.md5, system.img
if it is the full backup i don't need the sbf right?
by the way i can't use the sbf because i don't have it and i can't download it because megaupload and multiupload are down (i need the italian 2.3.4)
Quick question: is it possible to use the CM kernel with stock UK GB…
i think you can do that, but you must have full cwm backup before, if you wanna restore your data.
or if you wanna band new firmware, you can flash gingerbread rom from firmware.

make a backup with titanium app, then wipe all, flash your new sbf, make root acces and restore backup with titanium again

Nandroid restore

Hey guys,
Hopefully you can help me, I've successfully rooted installed cwm and done a nandroid back up, I updated to the 2.3.5 update, I want to restore my files back to how they were with the 2.2 system, when I go to restore, should I restore boot, system, data, cache and sd-ext? I was under the impression this will reinstall the 2.2 rom
Thanks.
DON'T DO IT!
Use titanium backup: menu > more > extract from nandroid backup.
If you try use CWM, you will be stuck at bootlogo.

hey guys, I got a question about nandroid backup and since I have a huawei this seems to be the right thread
I'm about to get a new sd card class 10 to replace my current slower one..I want to know: if I make a nandroid backup with my clockwork recovery then I transfer it to the new sd card and plug it in my phone can I restore it from recovery? the recovery and the phone are the same, I will change just my sd card with the new one..it's too boring to reinstall everything so I'd like to know if I can do it this way
yes

Thank you! I asked because I tried in the past to put a custom rom this way but the backup wasn't mine..the cook of the rom shared his nandroid backup to let you have the rom already set up..but it was a mess because after the nandroid was restored the recovery automatically formatted the user data on the sd and when the phone boots was a disaster..maybe because the versions of the recoveries were different or because the phone was different..
