You could say that it's suzuki turbo hayabusa fast.
Fastest I've gotten was around 12 so I'd say just wow.

22 Mb/s INSIDE your house is insane, congrats for being in the sickest 4G hot spot

Dang in south florida the fastest I go was 3.5 4g got here like a month ago so maby they are still doing updates t the network

What are you using to tether??

I wasn't using teather I used the speed test app

Thanks all. I'm usung the sprint mobile ap. 30$ month
I have sustained over a true MB transfer speed of 1300KBps
I couldn't take a screen shot because of what I was downloading hehe
I will get a video made up soon to show it in action

What firewall application are you using on your pc. Its not kaspersky by any chance is it? Some firewall apps scan and cache your internet data thus messing with speedtests.

Why pay 30 when u could root and use wifi teather. Is I faster that way?

Amazing 3G speeds!

So just for the hell of it I decided to do a speed test at my friends house, 800~ yds from my own house, I get about 600-800kbps at my house. I pulled up speedtest.net app and ran it and I got 1900kbps, holy crap. Then I decided to tether it to my laptop and check it on there, that's when I got the following:
{

Personally, I think that is amazing for 3G speeds, prove me wrong.
No I don't have 4G here, phoenix arizona, look it up.
-Edit- it puts the distance at 900~ because when it tracks my IP it puts me in Kansas.

I completely agree. Huge issue with the phone.
Wow, that's not good. I wonder how long Sprint will let that happen...I mean even AT&T throws minutes around in their commercials, maybe Sprint can throw some in the bag

I can confirm this issue. I've had the phone for four hours now and time just goes by. It's really quite frustrating. Sprint better get on this immediately.
I notice the uploads are no where near EVDO RevA. I'm getting about 130 or so now up and on my Hero I got in the 600 range.

I've noticed terrible speeds on speedtest apps, yet everything loads so much faster than the hero because of the processor. Don't even notice the crappy signal as its irrelevant. Wish I could test 4G... maybe next week.

Damn! My boss is going to be really upset with me over this issue. Seems I will be spending lots of time trying to find a fix for it

Data speeds 3G :)/ :(

Mm well so 3 years ago I went to Verizon from sprint cause a phone that I wanted and data speeds and service in Las Vegas (north) sucked for.Sprint back then And I went back to sprint because their.service got cheaper and I.wanted the.hero (evo Wasn't announce yet) so anyway my friend got a Droid x and his girlfriend a Droid Inc and I got an iPhone 4( I hated at&t and don't worry I'm not leaving android ) I been running some speed test in android Evo (sprint) and iPhone (Verizon ) and the speed in sprint looks faster by almost a 1 mb almost every test but I ran the speed test on the Inc and Droid x and speeds are practicly the same on those phones then the evo, do you guys know why iPhone speeds are slower? Maybe the app was make in a different way for iPhone (the data package is bigger? ) because speed test on the browser are almost the same on iPhone and evo
Weird?

Use an ad blocker your speed might slightly improve

adblockers make your internet slower, not once a connection is made, but while trying to make the connection. Every time your phone tries to access a website it has to parse that huge hosts file. Even on desktop PCs this will cause slow downs.
So I still don't know what's making the speed test slower in iPhone 4 but in wifi iPhone 4 has better speeds in the same wifi network, maybe the app wasn't make the same

General 3G speeds

I am a bit curious as to what 3G speeds you guys and gals are getting on a normal basis.
I usually get around 2 mbps down and 1 mbps up, and I live in the outskirts of orlando. For some reason, it's actually faster here than in the middle of the city.
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Usually where I am, at full signal strength I get about 1.7mb. I've never reached 2mb
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
I'm lucky to get 1mbps down and 1.2 up.....but i'm also in the middle of a frickin field
around 1mb down and 700kb up.
Same place with ATT on my iPhone I was getting 2.5mb down and 400kb up.
Doesn't seem any slower though *shrug*
Live in the mountains so mines realllllyyyy slw.

Same here. I am in east Tennessee.
I work for USCC and typically when I have done tests on our wireless card and different phones in store around 1.5mb down and somewhere around 600kb up. I don't have a clue on my fascinate since I just use it on wifi and as a music player/camera/camcorder.
I get about 500kbps down and 700 up. It angers me very much how slow it is. Every other phone I've tested gets at LEAST 1.2Mbps up.
Are all of these speed tests listed here running on 3g or mixed bag w/wifi? I know the title asks for 3g speeds, but 2 mb looks like wifi to me. Not disputing, just clarification/confirmation.
Heres about what i usually get at home on 3g.

Don't feel bad. Mine isn't always much better. I am normally on wifi when I need to do web surfing or anything major. I see you are in Dallas which I guess I could understand the speeds because of major usage. I live in a small city and still get somewhat pathetic times, usually just a little bit faster than dialup.

Ouch. I have WiFi too, but it's also an unreliable POS because it drops out every ten minutes. I'm thinking of switching, but the only other carrier that has a decent signal is Verizon, but 5GBs of data is a killer. I often pass 6GBs on my EVO.

Is the wifi a hotspot problem or a phone problem? If it is a hotspot problem then I would flash an updated firmware for it. I had a linksys with that problem and the firmware fixed it. You could also try changing the wireless channel in the routers configuration.
It's a Sprint problem.
