Use x8 as modem - XPERIA X8 General

Is it possible to share the internet on my phone to my pc and if yes, then how?
Sent from my E15i using XDA App

Yup, sure is. If you have root, you can use a wi fi tether. Use barnacle from the market. A wireless tether is cooler 'cause you can hook up just about anything to it, like an iPod.

If you don't have root, you can use PDA net, which isn't a wireless tether, but it works.

or juz search Barnacle on the market

is it possible? how?
ps i know nothoing about newtworking
i can use that logmein programme but that doesnt work on wm5 yet, so was wondering if there was another/better way???

Terminal services is built into your JasJar and XP. Hunt around for some info on the subject.
This is a screenshot from VJFullscreenTSC, a hack to run it fullscreen.
VNC is also a good (preferable, IMHO) solution.

Check that your firewall on the pc isn't blocking the connection.
Also ensure that the Terminal Services service isn't disabled.

sorry Mr.dioxda2 this option is for keeping the mobile connected to GPRS but you cant browsing or transfer any file from internet.
internet
can we also run internet while doing activesync with bluetooth??
Using internet sharing (program that comes with WM6/6.1 by default) you can get the internet on your PC/laptop, but you lose ActiveSync connectivity.

Why does the Tab not see my Tether app?

I tried to get my Tab to connect to my Droid Incredible. Why is it that my Tab sees every network but my phone. You can clearly see that my PC has no issue with my Incredible?
Suggestions as to why my phone is blocked?

Your tab is not seeing ad-hoc ap. Search the forum wpa_supplicant

I used unrevoked 3.21 to root my evo & installed wifi tether. My tab connects to my evo with no problems.

By default Android does not see adhoc networks. It's an Android issue in general.
Search for the solution, wpa supplicant.

Nexus 7 with Verizon?

Is there any way to link my Nexus with my Verizon account.....so I can run 4G?.... or is this strictly WiFi...
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
It's wifi only... no 4G hardware.
However, I see from your signature you have a Razr Maxx. You could tether through that, and probably for several hours at a time with such a big battery.

I went the mobile hotspot route. It was best for me because I can use it with other devices like my netbook if needed. It shares my data account with my other phones and no need for tethering anything.

Splashtop 2 error

Hi all,
I have installed splashtop 2 on my n7, and the streamer on on pc.
They are both connected to the same wifi network, and they are both using the same router and modem.
But when I start the splashtop app, it gives me the error shown in the screen below.
I was told that if you were accessing a pc on the same wifi network, you didn't have to buy the subscription.
Can someone please help me.
Thanks in advance
Cheers
Corey

It's possible that you you're firewall on your PC is preventing the app from seeing the streamer on your PC and therefore it thinks that you must be trying to access the PC from another network. Temporarly disable the firewall and see if that is the cause :good:
Had this issue myself, i uninstalled and reinstalled both the streamer and android client, it works for me now.
If that doesnt work, try manually adding splashtop2 into your firewall exception list like mentioned above.
