[Q] Is someone using 2.1 Baltic?, Dump/Backup needed for development! - GT540 Optimus General

Hi, is someone using baltic 2.1 rom and has a option to dump it or do a backup and upload that?
It is needed for development for others roms cos LG baltic roms are only ones that include Estonian (Eesti) language.
I tried to extract that offical update also and got to mbn files but like i see from there isn't any way to move on.
Thanks

no one can't help me

ask over at modaco we all seem to jump between these two also there is some good russian sites that might be able to help

how can i returen to the original rom?

i want my X1 returen to the seller to repare. because the Mic on the headset and WIFI not work. but i already flash the Hardspl and another customized rom.
i think i should flash it back.
i find the .image file in this topic:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437785
but i don't know how to flash it to my X1 and if it is the real original rom.
could anyone help me out? i realy searched and googled, but find nothing useful
thanks !
First flash back a generic ROM. You can sometimes do this using the Sony Ericsson updater service (download from SE site). If that one sais your ROM is up to date, you need to find a generic ROM. As this forum is flooded with ROM's, I'm not going to go look for you and post the link. A hint: Look in the ROM section (duh!)
After flashing back the generic ROM, you must flash the hardSPL back to normal, read the hardspl thread, again in the ROM section. Aka, question posted in the wrong section!
yes i know. i'm looking for a German version and i find a .image file, i don't kown how to use it!
thanks for your help...

Help with new HTC Magic Unbranded (Language)

I bought an HTC Magic a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday I got it. But then I realized that it only has english language. I know english but I speak spanish, I have read a lot of topics but haven't found a way to put spanish into the rom (with dictionary included).
So, my question is if there is an original HTC Magic Rom with spanish language included that I can install (I know how to root and everything), I don't need a modded rom (with apps and other stuff), I'm only looking for a way to instal the original rom but multilanguage if it's possible.
Thanks in advance to everybody who read this...
PD: I've already tried to searching the forum with no succes (I couldn't find anything )...
Tahnk you everybody.
Flash a ROM.
Several customs ROM ports nowadays are multilingual...whether it's the keyboard characters, or the displayed TEXT and settings on the screen; developers have done it. You just need to find the right one.
Trust me, in fact...I have a ROM flashed on my G1 now, a HERO port from JACxHEROski that right from the get-go allows you to alter the language settings prior to continuing to setup the device. That's almost standard with most well built ROMS.
I know, but I'm looking for a rom with no customization if it's possible.
I like the customized roms, but I prefer to have one with no modifications if it's possible. But I'm unable to find one

Porting LG GM735 wm6.1 to Wm 6.5 - Help needed

Dear Xda-developers rom chefs,
We are a very big communityin Turkey, using LG Eigen GM735 products. It was a device sold to us by Turkish Telekom company, and this model is specifically modified for Turkey market. Our device comes with Wm 6.1 onboard, and some of us are trying to build our own firmware for wm 6.5 and above with our own efforts. We have a partially working firmware now, but it is lacking some disfunctionality , for example igo is not installing and working (device locks), but tomtom works and some other minor issues.
Our latest firmware is hxxp://wxx.4shared.com/file/oo2j9fFA/V10J_00.html
The weird thing is, there is an international model of eigen which is GM730, and this product has a native wm 6.5 rom.The wm 6.5 rom for gm730 Australia is hxxp://letitbit.net/download/3524.396f34c7606ae10f545bc44e6/V20B_00.rar.html .
As for us, neither Turkish Telekom nor LG Korea is willing to build a new wm6.5 rom for us.
There are some kitchens around, which we use for xip porting and cooking rom.We use the tools in the below links for our modified rom and we have lost more than a dozen of devices during our work.
hxxp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6253729#post6253729
And this is the link to our modified wm6.5 rom for GM735.
htxx://wxx.4shared.com/file/kbK3alPR/V27.html
We are willing to share information on which ways to follow to get a properly working rom.We even tried porting oemmisc and other folders from gm730 rom but we are making wrong somewhere.
One of our rom cookers is also stuck at some point and he says, he needs a wm6.5 gm730s spb backup taken after a hardreset. We will also be thankful to anyone who can do this for us, for it will help a lot for identifying problems on our own rom.
We are sure that there are very experienced users in this forum, who can check the roms from the links and tell us what is wrong about them.We are ready to share our experiences about this issue. So please lead us the way to wm 6.5.5, on how to achieve this.
Thanks in advance to all the xda developers community.
Edit : Please change xx with tt and ww in the links.
I doubt that someone will help you witout having the GM735.
It's quite hard to tell what's wrong with ROM if there is no way to test it.

[Q] Froyo 2.2.1 and GOLDCARD. Install unbranded rom

I have a question about goldcards
I've installed sometime ago the Froyo 2.2.1 OTA update. (what a pity !)
I've a spanish branded wildfire by vodafone.
My question is: with a goldcar could I install some HTC official rom (the ones that came in a exe file) or google official rom or any other to unbrand my phone ?
I'm not speaking about rooting because we all know that today is impossible for 2.2.1.
Anyone could post a link for that kind of roms ? Could I install it ?
Thanks a lot.
NOTE: If you post a link, please, send us if it's a spainsh rom, and if is htc's one or google's one or whatever.
Im interesting too in roms signed (specially if there is some without sense, but i think there isnt though).
Please, 253 views and none knows about it
Please, help us. May be a link ?
Thanks a lot.
There are another 2.2 threads
Please read before posting

[Q] Extracting ROM from a phone

Is it possible to extract the ROM of android HTC DZ ?
if yes,
- does it have to be rooted ?
- Can I flash it on another phone (same model) ?
Not exactly clear what you are trying to do. Are you trying to migrate an exact image of your current phone (with settings, data, etc) to another phone?
Here is what am trying to do:
My phone does not have Arabic since I bought it from the UK and my friends here have the Middle East version which contains Arabic. HTC refuses to install the Arabic on phones with IMEI not for the Middle East so I was thinking if I can take a copy from another ME phone.
Is it clear ?
why dont you just download more locale 2 from the market and add arabic language
i think youre gonna save a LOT of time ; )

Android 2.2 does not support Arabic and so there is no such thing as Arabic language in Market.
Android 2.2 displays Arabic letters but from left to right and not connected. HTC added layer to support correct RTL script and this is what am looking for
It might save you the hassle or create more, but there is an Arabic rom posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933961

Thanks for the help, this is great except for one thing; it is Android 2.2 while my phone currently is running on 2.2.1 so it is a sort of going back
Similar to above suggestions, I think what you want to do if flash either a custom ROM, or an official ROM, which supports Arabic. Either way, you'll need to be rooted, plus S-Off and SuperCID. This would be easier than doing a ROM dump from your friends phone (and you would still need to be rooted to flash that).

My problem was not finding official Arabic ROM (now found) and almost all custom ROMs do not include Arabic support. I am proceeding with rooting
I flashed the thing on my mobile, it has 1.83 firmware which removed my root. Now am downgrading the f/w again
Here you can find a lot of stock ROMs
