Of course not
I get insurance with my bank and they will not insure my phone unless i have proof of purchase with an IMEI number on it.
And I wouldn't let fly insinuations like that too freely, think and calculate before writing such comments

Considering it's the third of April now, I don't think it's an April Fools joke. Where did you contact HTC? I might want to call them because of this problem I'm having, but I live in Spain and I'm not sure if I could apply for this.

Well played sir! Haha. I wouldn't lie to YOU guys but to a major corporation? Yea.. what do they have to lose... I've already given them almost $2000 of my hard earned cash for just cell phones so they should be a little lenient
And I called them here.. 1-888-216-4736 and told them I woke up on the weekend and said my battery cover and neoprene case was gone. They happily obliged with my request. Try it... what do you have to lose

but maybe he/she dropped it a few times which would have agitated the screen. Then maybe with the heat that builds up when charging, might have cracked the screen. Just a wierd theory. Let us know how it goes with htc.

I've been on this forum for about 3 weeks to a month now and i've seen your problem at least 2 other times now. Honesty pays off in this situation. They will ask for your IMEI number (i believe thats whats its called) and they will know that your not the originaly buyer of the phone.

They will fix it but it will cost money. I highly doubt they will do it for free because your not the original buyer. You won't know until you call and remember to be honest.
There are many reports of this happening, So don't feel too bad. However I've read that the warranty only applies to the original owner, and view may ask for proof of purchase. Sorry dude.

I like how he tried to use his email address to establish some form of credibility. Congrats dude, you were the SECOND person who tried to get unlockwireless from gmail, either that you you just suck at spelling. How about you put enough effort into registering your own domain first, then maaaaaybe some people will take you seriously.. but judging by the way you speak to others I find that highly unlikely.

Why would you talk to a stranger like that?
You must have known after his second email that you weren't going to be selling it to him. Why not take the higher road, wish him a good day, and end it there?

True, true but i don't think this is it. If he scams you, you can leave a review explaining that and paypal has it's own refund program in case of scams.
Also 6 bucks really is nothing.
It's probably his company/him making or selling these things. I don't think he'd be that stupid to rip people off for chump change and basically scare away his customers.
