GPS Test by Chartcross works well.
Can anyone post an apk of the octy application? I can't find it on the market, and i dont want to flash my phone just for that...
id love to get my hands on it also. I had it on JG3 but now cant find it on the market.

My HTC Touch Diamond is suppose to have GPS (as far as i know). It had a link before and a file to download TELUS Navigator. With all my customization and tweaking I seem to have deleted that.
How can I get that back, or maybe a better GPS program for my phone?

If you dont' need turn by turn directions, I use Google maps. It's free and works great on my telus diamond. ALso, it's free, so no monthly charge.
I can't seem to get GPS to work with Google Maps or Live Search, it wants a US address. That makes no sense lol

Did you try a hard reset?
What exactly does a hard reset do? What do I lose?

You need to tell Google to use GPS, otherwise it just triangulates from the phone masts. Click menu then "use GPS". Takes a while to lock onto satelites
I remember reading up here that somebody had installed an app to their X1 that enables GPS so that the position of the phone can be located if its lost or stolen? Whats the name of the app and where can I get it from?

I'm seriously looking at this app because it offers you the chance to nuke the information on the device as well as lock it out and locate it.
If you're REALLY smart, you configure it and cook it into a ROM so that it will even survive a hard reset.

there is also MaspWare GuardMobile, with remote commands by sms to lock, get location, soft and hard reset.....

got a prob with QuickGPS and TomTom.
First TomTom says "no gps device" (or something like that - I use the german one). Tried everything, without success.
Then I tried to update QuickGPS. Download starts, but "crashes" before reaching 100%. Tried a lot, even via ActiveSync etc etc.
So I tried some QuickGPS Cab File from somewhere on the web. Installed it, tried to start it, without success, as it is not signatured digitally.
So deinstallation of this version, and now even the old one is lost.
My question:
1. Can anyone supply me with the official QuickGPS CAB of the latest official ROM (2.32...)
2. Can anyone supply me with the certain reg-info?

I would advice you just to redo the last firmware.
You will be getting your Quickgps back.
There might be someone on here with a better idea, but most likelly you will be ending up with hard resetting anyway.
Doing it right now. Somehow this problem seems to be a pretty common one, but noone in all those forums ever placed a working solution. Bad luck, as I have had a lot of tools setup pretty well... But hey, thats windows!
What version of TomTom do you have? If tomtom says no device then you have to check your port(4) and baud(4800) settings and make sure you use the internal gps.

( Hardware). But i got tom tom running using in the configuration the Bluetooth device on com port 3 , with 9600 .
There was a alternative Software for quick GPS, but, i am sorry, i forgot the name. Google may help.

GPSToggle, a Today screen plug-in, works well well with Jade Clones. I have attached the CAB file to this reply. You will find a full discussion of GPSToggle in this thread:

soo my problem is i have i900 whit Ig08.. and when i go to search for server.. must stay 5 min on clear sky.. i dont like this and go on google to search for decision and see this forum dl the SERF TELUS aGPS try to make good settings.. and now my gps dont work.. can someone give me the link for problem gps on OMNIA i900 or whrite here what i must to do the folling programs and steps.. 10x

look for server or satellite?
try disabling agps and run quick gps tool (it can be found around here) it will download (via gprs(edge,3g)/wifi)a tiny little file containing locations of satellites...so it will do the job agps was intended to do,but with less fuss,and gps will still work...i'm using igo in this configuration

no, only for Set Destination need internet connection.... when you set destination, you can turn off internet connection
is there some other apps that use just gps satelites to position??
Search for Navigon wp7 cracked software.
I am not allowed to post here cracked links so you have to search it on google...

P.S. Navigon is a full gps navigation application that is working completely offline
All you need to do is download in the start up the maps and then you go offline for ever.
