Just got an hd2 and it had this problem where when pressing power button touch screen does not work
Here is what to do press power button fast swipe finger on screen to see if it start to work or press power button hard maybe power button is dirty

hi, recently damp got into my xda mini s and disabled all the button, after a while it thought that all the buttons were pressed down, so i tried dryin the device out and it seemed to sort everything out except for the power button, the device thinks that the power button is constantly pressed in so it will either switch the screen off or ask if i want to switch the device off. i was wonderin is there any way that i can completly disable the power button and use another button like the camera button to be the power button instead? many thanks
Suddenly my hardware buttons react strange.
when i press the green button the volume is going down.
and when i press the up button then i get an * sign...
does someone know how i can resolve this????

is there any chance to give some other button abilitiy to be a power button? because my x1 fall down,and now power button is stuck in,and i need to press him realy hard to power on x1.maybe some register tweak,i don't know.
i was thinking is there any other way to wake blackstone from sleep mode, without pressing the power button. MAYBE the vol button or the 4 buttons at the bottom. Repeated pressing of the power bottom may cause the power to be spoil one day
what about pulling out the stylus? many locking and rotating apps have this option

I have tried literally 100s of times but no matter what I do or how long I hold down both the volume down button and the power button I never get to the tri-coloured screen. Is there any reason I wouldn't be able to access it?
Are you holding down the volume down button and the power button at the same time? If so, only hold the volume down button and briefly touch the power button. What I mean by briefly is a quick press and continue holding down the volume button until you see the tri-colored screen.
