[Q] netfilter enabled kernel? - XPERIA X8 General

Does anybody know if there is a netfilter enabed kernel in X8/2.1?
And thanks to all who are spending their nights becoming root those days

To be honest, I don't think anyone is working on a root for X8 just yet.

BUMP!

[Report] Superuser.Kernel And GingerSony Bug Report

This Thread are for bug Report Such As:
Battery Drain
Unstable
Stability
Kernel Bug
ROM bug
Etc.
I think dev's are on smth about kernel right now, dx's @what has been done in dev [email protected] list is empty, racht is looking busy right now,i think Blagus is helping them too.
There no announcement about it because it still in early alpha, without "noise" devs can smoothly finish their work.
Due the change in 1st message my post is useless, delete it please.
FreeXperia is silently developing one already.
See there Github.
I can't believe FXP is developing Kernels i check it out
Thanks Dedii.
I made custom kernel.sin but now I have to flash stock 2.1 first because something's wrong on 2.3
Or, as FXP said, NAND initialization is incorrect.
BTW, for kernel developers, you have to pack Image, not zImage.
Please stop with off-topic.
I flashed my kernel and it works. However, [email protected] machine name persists.
Anyways, take a look at this:
Code:
<5>[ 0.000000] Linux version 2.6.29 ([email protected]) (gcc version 4.5.2 (Sourcery G++ Lite 2011.03-42) ) #1 PREEMPT Thu Aug 18 16:30:18 CEST 2011
I need to make some more tweaks, pack correct ramdisk and remove [email protected] machine/user name.
Will update tonight or tomorrow

Wow! Thanks a bunch.
@Blagus
I think that the X10 mini and mini pro kernels can work on Android 2.1 and above. Is this NAND initialization problem affecting them as well?
And was there some sort of patch or something that FXP was providing on X10 dev forums with regard to custom kernel compatibility? Just a question .
what's the differents of .ko modules and build in.
please make CPU and GPU overclock
Cpu Oc Ok
Gpu oc ?? Im not sure
hi
sorry if it seems stupid but i happened to experience that oc module in gingercruzt 7.3 is better than normal oc module, it has 60kb of file size and with GC module i can overclock my cpu to 780mhz without any problem, though with normal oc module with 4kb i can only reach 748mhz of oc, if you could please test it and see if it do the same for you guys cuz i think it will be better to use better modules in kernel
@superuser.angga
blagus n u also make a good kernel for us.. thanks man..

can you add usb host support to your kernel?
ps: this one is for the zte blade (same chipset)

Deleted some rants...again
Just a little remind for kernel developers, remember to post your Github( or whatever) source code for GPL compliance when it done.
Thanks.

I try to push to github but no luck
i have uploading problem here
is this new kernel will be work for any ROMs sir?like stock, custom, stock build 47,06,C.0.0?can't wait to try it..
When we will can download and try your kernel?
wierd :S
hi all i unlocked my bootloader and needed to see if i cud use omnius to unlock my phone after. it all went okay untill i switched the phone back off and put other sim into it. thats when the fun thing happend lol . it blocked the signal of my phone so it made me more determind to find a way to have both . so i restored earlyer TA backup and it was sim locked again. then i unlocked it for the second time and then i used msm7227_setool2 to see if i could unlock the bootloader without it blocking signal but to my surprise i was left with a sim unlocked phone by omnius and a unlocked bootloader :d this may not work again but just wanted to share my amazment with you as really it should have signal bricked my phone again but it never and now i got both lol

GingerDx and LinuxDx + OC

Hi, I have x8 with GingerDx 17 and LinuxDx 004. I have tried oc 004 and "better X8OVERCLOCK" but not work. Why? I use setcpu. Thanks
Oc is module working only with stock kernel

Yep, and doixanh doesn't like overclocking, so he won't put it in his kernel. You need to wait for freexperia kernel
Howell it's not the topic question, i'd like to ask what are actually the pros and the cons of OC'ing?
for me it depends on what you use your phone for...if you OC it the battery will last less (depending on the freq)...if you use it for gaming you can OC but for daily use I don't think you should (not at 800mHz anyways)...so figure it out...for me...I do not need it...I need battery cheers
it would be great GDX+LDX+OC u.u...but doixanh still being great

[REQ] Froyo with some custom Kernel.. (alfs 4 example) ??

Ok, I just realized (again, and until the next time) that Froyo Pro is the best choice for me..
But I will miss custom kernel.. I tried Alfs once, and it was all right but WiFi was not working at all. Copying Wifi libs from GDX didn't help
Can someone re-make Alfs kernel to make it work on FroyoPro? (some ramdisk changes and wifi fix)
I would be grateful... and I'm sure many others..
+1

+1............
It could be done but kernel should be made from cm6 core.because all kernels for x8 are made from cm7(gingerbread) core.like alfs, gdx, fxp kernel,nAa...so it would be hard, because fxp gave sources only for cm7 kernel, and most of our kernels are based on fxp kernel source.

nice. ....
Its preety easy.We just need to compile kernel from se source and everything should work even on eclair.
I will try and report.

oh god im waiting for Custom Kernel on Froyo sooooooooo much
and also if im on gingerbead and for example Alfs kernel when im by clockwork install custom zip with froyo i need to change kernel to stock right?
yeap, i love froyo pro and i also love alf's kernel, especially it's OC, i get by far the best results with it, fully stable 787 mhz with smartass v2 i just wish i could combine the 2.
yes yes yes +1 for a kernel for froyo
if we compile those kernels with the same Ramdisk that we have in Stock kernel, probably it should work better in Eclair and Froyo roms, right?
flash this in cwm and you will have working alfs + wifi on froyo pro

Is this confirmed to work? TIA

the rest of you reading this, DONT try this, it DOESNT work and will NEVER WORK!!
No, you are wrong, alfs kernel works fine with froyo pro + that fix which repairs wifi. If you want, i can make video with working kernel and froyo pro

Just install x-part cwm and that's it.
Swap/zram is already supported in stock .587 kernel by Sony.
