OLD
Same setup as 1106
Similar kernel to new TnT
TZ change will hold now
ZPad settings used so you can disable ethernet.
Changes for 2.2 are:
Single package install with all up to date changes
Contacts/Calendar support (needs more testing, works for me)
Gallery 3D that doesn't FC with a lot of pictures
Flash removed from /system/app (sideload yourself so install sticks on reboot)
Performance Pack with working Camera integrated(~2400 quadrant)
Phone.apk, TelephoneProvider.apk removed so cell process doesn't eat battery
(signal bar still in status bar because of Contacts.apk)
Gapps integrated
TnT Keyboard is default
Nexus One boot animation
v2.0 Download(1125): http://www.multiupload.com/IXXA5G57XY
v2.1 Patch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855812 (thanks to Raydog for creating this patch)
Removes Phone.apk and Telephony.apk for Gtab users. This disables the cell portion of the ROM.
ZPad Compatible Performance Pack: http://www.multiupload.com/CRNCJSYFIK (BORKS CAMERA, 2400+ Quadrant!)

Awesome! Thanks....

Thanks a lot

I loaded the v2.0 download and also the Gapps: but I am still having the "Time/Date/Timezone reset on reboot" issue.

I went into settings, chose Central as the timezone, then rebooted. It sticks for me. The date stays the current one.
Maybe try choosing a timezone that isn't associated with a city? Not sure what else you could have different than I do.

Since it sounds like it similar to the TNT release, you might need to do the SD USB Mount before installation like on the TNT Lite releases.

Yeah mount your sdcard to your computer, or unmount sdcard using a file manager. Then install, and it should go through.

Was flash preinstalled on this. Doesn't seem to be working for me. Which version do I need to install to get it working?
Thanks,
Matt

Flash apk from the Folio is working for me.

Whatever I had in titanium backup worked. I think it may have been folio I had running on TNT lite.

It is in /system/app, but for some reason it isn't working out of the box. You may need to open it in a file browser to install it.

I'm an idiot and changed it input to method to TNT keyboard and now I can't figure out how to change it back. What is the trick?
Edit: Nevermind I found the answer. Long hold in any input box.

Power cycling kills flash for me. Reinstall and it works again until you turn off the power. What could cause this?

Thanks, I had read quite a few threads trying to figure that out and nowhere is it mentioned. dismounting the internal sd worked like a charm, all my apps install perfect now.

Where can I find this APk?

so excited to put a TJ rom on my Gtab once it shows up
any tips tj? i got into app development, so this thing is gonna be my primary tester for tablet apps.
did i make a good decision to get one of these?
thanks for any tips!
-tj! ill finally donate now that im not broke anymore!
Just finished installing both files, no issues. I'm accustomed to clearing all data before and after each installation, so didn't have any issues. I made a quik vid of my experience:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1_CcEWSwMM
A few things:
1) Coming from VEGan 5.1.1, it's rather sluggish. Even after about 6 reboots.
2) The camera takes pics much quicker than VEGan, I like it.
3) didn't come with a filemanager :-(
4) Would not play Samurai 2. Since i feel its a benchmark of how well the ROM works, it a downer for me.
5) Market works and was able to download File Manager
g0t0
Thanks for video!
Any ideas why Samurai 2 not play?
Thank You!
none whatsoever. works with VEGan 5.1.1 and the gADAM builds (just did a vid on the Adam one).

very nice keyboard! tried on HTC Desire with RCMix S v2.0 Evolutionary Sense ROM and it worked. But now that i installed Runny ROM on Desire it doesn't work. In recovery it installs fine but when i reboot there are no changes. Maybe different framework in Sense 3.5? Can you suggest how to make it work? thanx

I believe then this is ROM specific. From your ROM extras:
I checked extras of your ROM and it says:
LatinIME- Android keyboard see jpg
Download LatinIME.rar push poke etc LatinIME.apk to /sd-ext/app_s/ & libjni_latinime.so to /system/lib/

So it looks some files should be placed to /sd-ext/app_s/. Will get back to you if I think of something.

To both of you, this is because Rummy ROM has different data structure. "Normal" structure is e.g:
/system/app
/system/lib
While this ROM has:
/sd-ext/app_s
/sd-ext/lib_s
Try this one, which I've tried to adopt for your ROM. Couldn't try it, since I have other ROM.
This is only for Cool3DRunny:
http://upfile.in/ukbrzcqcdqrg/LG_keyboard_flashable_for_Cool3D_RunnyMede.zip
Other ROM users, it won't work for you!
Please try it and repost if it works.
Hi jukyO.
Installed on Oxygen 2.2.2. It works fine, but when I tick the option to vibrate on key press, it force closes. Is there something else I should be doing?
Also, I did a NAND backup before installing the keyboard, but do you havw an apk or zip of the 2.3 keyboard that I can re-install if I wanted to, rather than doing a complete restore?
Thanks

Flash via recovery and
Use them out of any warranty and at your own risk!
Important Notes
- Nandroid Backup first
- always download Original-Battery zip too (if something went wrong)
If you want to use Center_Clock mods:
- flash Center-Clock zip (e.g. ICS_Center_Clock_v1)
- reboot
- after reboot the icons in the statusbar will not appear
- open an application which will set an icon to the left corner of your statusbar .e.g. Airdroid or Terminal Emulator
- voila, your statusbar is back
- the icons will also appear when you receive a message
- you have to do this after each reboot, or when you restore a nandroid backup included Center-Clock_mod
... this way it works.
Right now I don't know how to fix this issue.

Sorry for that matt!
I used framework_res.apk and System.apk for decompile/compiling from my tiny_ics Version.
And this is just a stripped down Sandvold 0.2.1 build without any modificition on this two files.
The pictures above are screenshots from my device. I've tested every single flash file to be sure that they are working.
Maybe someone else with Sandvolds Rom can report back if he have the same issue...

No need to be sorry, that's what nandroid is for
And yeah I know the files in question are exactly the same, so it's really strange. I also run a modded version of sandvold (personal build) but I do not touch those 2 files - so shouldn't cause any issues.
Also - just a heads up - your images don't show for me, i don't think the host you've used doesnt allow embedding in other webpages or you're over the bandwidth limit or something. You probably don't see it because the images are cached on your computer.

The one in the original 0.2.1.zip is 1,024,264 bytes and yours is 919,814 bytes...
I would really love to get v2 working...but wanted to ask before I try it.

Dunno why, but it's working!
FYI, I have sandvold's 0.2.1 installed, but custom-stripped to fit data++ hboot.
Besides, I found the download links just fine with Chrome.
Maybe you could post a quick tutorial somewhere how you did it?!?
Great job KuliX!
I am running 0.2.1 Sandvold's ICS rom. It is not stripped or modded version. I flashed V2 in recovery and only wiped cache. The battery percentage is showing perfectly.
Also, there is no problems with the pictures in the first post.

Not working for me in sandvolds 0.2.1. It kills the notification bar and background. Flashed via recovery with cache/dalvik wiped.

I lost my status bar as well.
I'll try again but this time flash rom>boot and setup>reboot, wipe cache and flash mods and then see what happens. I'll report back tomorrow.
On a different computer, different ISP, still can't see the pics - strange.
I'll try the centre clock ones later too, see if that works at all....
M.
Edit - pics show when on my phone using xda app. Neither battery or clock are working for me though.... really don't get it.
Pvt4 phone
S-off with stock hboot
Modded sandvold rom (but haven't touched framework or systemui)
4ext recovery, tried installing from both control app and directly through recovery.
Don't know what would do this.... very strange.
Nice mod here!!
Unfortunately, after installing battery mod wallpaper disappears and the status bar. Ics tiny Rom stage2

Just working on a hunch here - what recovery do you use? Just trying to work it out at the moment.. I'll have a bit of time to dig through it all tomorrow. Hoping to work it out quickly.
M.
I got this working with the Sandvold rom.
Flashed rom with 4EXT touch recovery>booted and set phone up>rebooted into recovery, wiped cache and flashed mod and it works fine.

Hrm, really weird then.... I was thinking that certain recoveries were somehow having issues with it, but that's not it. I'm using 4EXT touch as well and it doesn't work for me. Given we all run the same rom, same hboot, same phone, etc etc i don't get how it doesn't work for some of us.

I also use 4ext. Flashed the 8 different mods around 10 times directly from the build in option in 4ext-app. Without wiping anything. Without any problems.
I really like to know what the problem causes.
Again, sorry for that guys!

[ROM] Helly Bean [4.1.1] (09/04/2012) - Captivate - DerTeufel1980

I want to present to you the Helly_Bean ROM by DerTeufel1980. The following description is taken from his original thread over in the i9000 section. You can find his thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775169
Many thanks, to pawitp, FaultExeption, Jt1134, be18 and all the other people who commit to gerrit. without these, this rom wouldn't be possible
you can find the official website for this projekt here
http://www.hellybean.com/index.html
you'll find download links and faq on this site.
Install instructions:
if you want the rom to be installed with voodoo color kernel instead of the default one, just create a folder called devil at your sdcard, and place an empty file named voodoo_color in this folder. Then just install the rom as followed below
if you are coming from any other rom, your /system, /data and /datadata get wiped automatically
coming from any other rom:
- make sure to have gingerbread bootloaders
- flash allinone.zip
- reboot recovery
- flash allinone.zip again
- flash gapps
if you are coming from a previous version, older than 08/28 your data will get wiped due to new partition layout!
coming from previous version:
- flash allinone.zip
Differences to cm10:
- optimized partition layout to avoid low storage notification and also give the maximum performance:
* 400 mb /system
* 1,3 gb /data
* 420 mb /datadata
- devil kernel apps reachable from system settings
- facebook sync integrated
- option to enable high end gfx effects
- possibility to activate and customize navigation bar
many thanks to:
- be18
- mkalter, who got the first running jb rom
- elitemovil (who was the first who got gsm working)
- stratosk (from who's initramfs i could start build my first jb booting kernel)
- teamhacksung/pawitp for the rom sources
- team nyx who always have good tips for me, if i get problems with my kernel
- SysTem-X for hosting
- Rootax for hosting
- RolluS for hosting
- many thanks also to the other people who have created mirrors

The problem is that I have no keyboard at the moment. It force closes, so I can't enter my google acct info to download another keyboard.
Can you flash this right over CM9? I thought if your filesystem was mtd and you flashed something not MTD you would be screwed, so I guess the better question is, is this MTD? haha

It seems that the gingerbread keyboard is the only available option. Have reflashed gaaps package with no luck.
I should note that I flashed straight from CM9. Do I need to flash V1 and V2 incrementally?
