mac address - Trophy General

For the samsung and lg wp7 phones there are some solutions to find the mac address.
How can we find the mac address of htc trophy ?

If you have got a Router at home, and your Phone is connected to it via WiFi - just check the Mac Adress in the Router Menu.

Thanks. it worked...

How can I find out the Mac address of my device ?

I am trying to hook up my i-mate with my home wireless connection...
but I couldn't find out the Mac Address of my i-mate
Any idea ??
thanks
You cant really without being connected to a network, its annoying.
Turn off MAC address filtering and connect.
Now on your device click STart>Settings>Connections>Wireless Lan
on the Advanced tab you will see your devices MAC address.

How to find MAC address??

I need to discover the MAC address of the Herald's built in wifi device so I can use it for MAC address filtering on my router. My router (linksys W54G) doesn't detect what the Herald's MAC address is if I turn off filtering.
Anybody have any ideas?
BTW on my old IPAQ H4150 running Pocket PC, the asset viewer shows the MAC address but Windows Mobile 5 on the Herald doesn't show this information
i guess you can find it in wifisettings. start connection wifi....
good luck

Be sure to be connected to a wireless network. Otherwise you can't see you mac-address. Even when you need to insert your mac address in the router, you still can connect to the network. I have mac-address filtering too on my wireless network.
If you can't find that information on your device, you could always check what the router says what's connected to it.
I'm trying to do a similar thing but would like to know if there is an application to view a devices MAC address from a PC over Activesync? Oh and I can't view it from router logs as it's preconfigured to use with other access points and I do not want to reconfigure them. Thanks for any help.

So your ISP requires you to register every wireless device by Mac address? That's very secure of them and I'm wondering if it is correct. Have you ever been able to get any device to connect to the Internet using your wifi connection?
is your router set up to block ip adresses, ? it could be locked down in the router settings to only let certain ip connect, im guess ing your pc works though the router, hook it all up, go on a browser and hit up 192.168.1.1 (i think thats what it will be ) and check the router settings.
my pc works i just had to change my mac address to theirs, the isp guys did it when installing it, and also on my xbox i had to change its mac to the one on my computer, how could i do something similar to my device
i would see about a different router man, i no you cannot change your xbox mac address after many years of modding them i no that for deff, and i doubt you will be able to change the mac address of your phone either
You can't change the MAC address of a network device. It's the unique hardware serial number of the network device.
maybe look for a router that does mac clonning
i did not mod my xbox it is possible, it's not the ip address witch can not be changed it's the mac address...

No WiFi after upgrade

Hallo,
I have upgraded my phone to 2.3.5 B521, the one that Huawei has in their site.
The step was: Upgrade to B512 (Problem with WiFi), update to B521 just in case the problem was solved. But, the problem is still there. I get IP from the Router, but I have no connection to the internet!
Please help me.
Does your phone have a mac address or is it nulled?
Sent from my U8800 using xda app-developers app
Yeah check your MAC adress and your IMEI
Probably your MAC adress become to 0 after the update

I do not have the 2.3.5 installed now, but I if MAC is nulled, how on earth did it get an IP?
Please HELP!
IMEI and MAC are OK and those written at the back of the phone.
When I setup a static IP, everything was OK, I can say that it was FASTER than previously :good: .
So, the problem is DHCP related.
I can confirm now that the problem is somehow related to the the DHCP and the Gateway. Specifically, I have set my router to give as GW itself (10.0.0.1).
BUT, the Gateway I see from the Disp WiFi IP is 0.0.0.0. Any ideas? Is there any log that I can check?
Also, from the router, it is obvious that the phone is NOT connected. The phone is recognized as a such, but it is connected only when I use the static IP.
Important UPDATE
I tried to connect the phone on another router. And it's OK with that router...
The only problem is that I cannot purchase a new router in my home.
So, I need to find out what I can do with my ADSL router (Alcatel Onetouch 585 v6).
