I have experia x8 and i'm using Documents to go and it's doing great job! you can view/edit/create Word, excel, Powerpoint and read PDF files.

I use OfficeSuitePro
Works with
DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX (open, create, edit, save)
TXT, CSV (open, edit, save)
PPT, PPTX, PPS, PPSX, PDF (viewing)
Access and open email documents attachments
Open ZIP files
Own integrated File explorer
Integration with Google Docs

Exchange email attachments HD2

Hi all. When I 1st got my HD2 set up with my exchange it would open basic attachments, word docs PDF's etc. Now it stores them in File Explorer>M Device>Windows>Messages and there they all are. I can't open them by clicking on them and it tells me to open the application Word Excel etc and open from there. But when i do that it won't access the file where the atachments have been downloaded too.
Any suggestions?????
Really need these attachments I'd be glad of any constructive feedback.
Regards
Pete
Tried opening the attachement from the mail in which you recieved them? Then save the file to somewhere else? Or just move the files you want to open to \Storage Card\My Documents or \My Documents ?
If you have the Documents tab it's also a painless procedure
Files don't seem to be downloading as office files
Hi all the files I've found don't seem to be an extension of any particular program PDF's Excel files or Word Docs etc. They all just have a windows flag against them.

Opening Word/Excel documents

Hello
I was wondering whether anyone knows any apps or whether the X10 has anything built in that will open word or excel docs?
If I go into yahoo mail and download the doc to my phone, then try and open it with office suite or Documents to go (free) it says "this file appears to be an HTML file".
If I go into Astro and check the details of the file it says .doc or .xls.
I think I must be missing a step somewhere.
Any help would be handy.
Cheers Pete
Don't you have "officesuite" on yours? it was a standard app on mine - allows you to view most MS office files.
or get documents to go

quick way to view email (office) attachment?

searched and didn't get any results. my friend owns this phone so I have no idea how to work it through.
basically she is asking how she could directly open email attachments (mostly office documents and pdf files), I find it only offers option to save to sd and then open it with documents to go or pdf viewer, etc.. I don't understand why there is no pre-installed document viewer? but hopefully you guys can prove me wrong or some better solutions.

Copy text from pdf or odt

I am in dire need of a way to copy text from an open office document or a pdf file into a web page. Any suggestions?
There is an app called "copy paste it". It took me a while to find it in the market. There is a trial version available to test it & make sure it works on your phone. Otherwise it $6.00. It basically takes a screenshot of the page and allows you to copy & paste from any application/page including email and pdf's, etc.

note app that saves in .txt file?

Hi, I would love to have an app similiar to colornote which saves the notes into a .txt file so that I can easily sync it with "FolderSync" (or smiliar) via my own server and simply open the .txt file on my computer. Is there anything like that? :S
Maybe a simple notepad would do it as well ?
Thanks
You really could have googled this... or just searched the market.
Even dropbox saves ".txt" files.
I need an app on android which will let me edit .txt files.. which are saved on the SD-Card.
And **** dropbox. I want to sync the files on my own server. Preferable as soon as the file changes. Maybe FolderSync will do the syncing job. Still I need an note-taking app. ColorNote would be awesome but it doesn't save the notes on the sd-card?
