[Request] Froyo Sys-Overlay Kernel - Legend General

Hey Everybody
I was just wondering if someone could recompile the new Froyo kernel for our Legends with the AUFS support, or at least tell me if there is any modules for it so i can compile one by myself.. :b

New kernel source for Legend is not yet available. But U can use old one from CM if U want...
Sent from my HTC Legend using Tapatalk

Ok, Thanks ;D

Oh.. BTW..
Is the AUFS' also built in in the 6.1 rc1? :3

Yap.

Awesome.. Thanks.. ;3

Ok, ok.. Last question..

[Q] MIUI Rom for HTC Tattoo?

Hi everybody! I would like to know if someone can take a look at the porting of MIUI rom for our Tattoo.
It should only be a problem of resolution or am i wrong?
I've read something about this chinese rom and it sounds very good. I would be interested in this rom too...
Could be interesting

Well it seems they have already translated it and added some cool feature we just need someone who can port it to our tattoo! I would love to do it but i dont have the skills :-(
Does someone have the link to the source of MIUI itself?
Maybe we can add it to an existing ROM. Or is it not an interfave ,but a ROM?
as far as i know it looks like a rom, not an interface. i'd compare it to cm
very curious
Please someone port this to the Tattoo Please
Srsly, cool rom... i'm not sceptic, but desire had 2x better hw than tattoo... it looks cool on desire... but i'm not sure about same on tattoo:/
It´s a rom based on FroYo so I would think if CM6 works on Tattoo this could work also. ivendor did it with CM6 maybe he can take a look at MIUI ?
I hope Seems cool as I said
i knew the thread would get lower attention when its pushed to Tattoo General
Some news ? Because I very like this ROM and I want this ROM on my tattoo
Im in learning of making roms , did one test :
Download desire miui rom
Replaced kernel + boot.img with cm6 rom.
Getting reboots.
Bib Big Fail
Sent from my Tattoo using XDA App
Nice try.
Installer Script fail
It was the installer script in the previous try
it did not do anything..
only replacing boot.img... lol
im now ./adb pushing an new rom to my phone.
I'd be surprised if you actually got it to work that way. I'm afraid it's not that simple unfortunately.
i think it will never come i need it for my brothers phone...
will nobody busy with it?
MIUI v3 For HTC Tattoo
I have ported MIUI v3 for our HTC Tattoo!!!!
Get it Here

[General][discussion] spaarc is back , Alive and kicking ^^

Firstly -pilot- I'm sorry for spamming buddy
I'm back and looking for ideas as always
I was thinking ICS , but we have amazing devs like zdzihu who will get everything done
Then cyanogenmod , but we have the fxp team
Then stock based , we have many roms and amazing devs like team , thjap and wolf break
Then miui , but there are many out there by oodie , robertberma , cobra to and a1exander
May be I'm not required any more ????
But still need ideas
I think u must join zdzihu in ICS rom
Yeah a stable fully working ICS would be very good. Zdzihu is abroad and have not enough tools and time there so any dev helping would speed up the Development alot. I think 4.0 is very good and we all should help with our knowledge to get it working.

I know ICS is amazing
But I don't quite have the knowledge to cook drivers etc.
I can't even download the android source code at the stupid Internet speed I have ...
All can do is mod
If I knew driver coding I would surely help him
I could try modding ICS
could i ask for a newer version of the Ginger Villain Rom? Your last version was excellent!

I haven't change the stock ROM, since it was released (I used to flash froyo and eclair roms once a week, now Kernels only).
Simply in my opinion, stock SE rom is finer than any MIUI or AOSP roms
Why don't you develop a new more advanced kernel for 2.3.7 - 4.0.1. Many believe that the 2.6.29 Kernel is holding things back.

Very pleased to see you back Spaarc buddy
Needing a little advice myself in terms of AOSP if you can help?
Anyway Goro is already Porting Xperia 2011 Kernel to x10
2.6.32.9 and has it booting so its kinda unnecessary at the minute
Maybe just make your AOSP perfect
The only thing missing from x10 right now is sense... I know you've tried it and its hard but there are ppl out there who have had it working on x8 sgs2 and other devices, maybe get some advice and give it another shot?? The amount of testers will be huge if you get it working mate

Oh yeah cool ,
It will take me months to port sense
If you could wait I will try
It is very very tough
I make no promises
But aosp will be here shortly

[Q] question about new custom roms

hi, i want some help with it!
actually i have cyanogenmod gingerbread 2.3.7 with kernel 2.6.29 , by mur4ik
but now i have heard that he is not making or working on it anymore and there are another guys making new things with 2.3.7 for example the swiftdroid second life, or the custom rom made by pete and his friend.
i wanted to know if these ones are better versions than the one i have, or if they are behind it, and if those two are newer and better versions, wich one would you recommend for lg gt 540?,
and another thing, they talk a lot about kernels, really the mur4ik rom i installed was like a package so i really didn't even care about it
but now that are talking about it and wanted to know what is it , and why is better one or another
i heard some of the guys want to puto a .31 kernel instead a .29 and things like that, and well, i really don't know it so well
help with that please, thanks!
Well for kernels look it up on Google a bit too long to explain it here.
For l android 2.1 the best kernel to be used is .29 kernel for 2.2 it would be the .32 kernel and for 2.3 and 4.0(ics) it would be the .35/.38 or 3.0 kernel
As for roms you are using swiftdroid so keep it or then next best thing would be any 2.2 rom I recommend project Utopia but if I where you I will wait for Mike's asop 2.3.7 v6 to come out
I sure am waiting for V6 mike's rom.
For the looks of it i am waiting for mike´s rom V6 it should be fast and stable, just hoping he releases it ASAP....
try Pebe 2.3.7 v5.1 rom, im using it and its quite good!
Yes, the last pcf cm7 (.32) is very good. The only thing that it ends with the battery much faster than for example in pcf aosp 2.2.2 (.32)
Froyo optimum is great too
Amazing battery life and so smooth

sorry to be so silly but,

the last one i have from him is v2.0 rc5 swiftdroid based on mur4ik
exactly which one of mike are you telling me about?
if you can post the link to the thread, that'd be nice.

miui gingerbread(test 1 uploaded)

hey guys i was thinking to make a miui gingerbread port to wildfire.i already made on for lg optimus one and helped to get it working on galaxy ace.what i want is to show that our little tiny phones can also run it and are not so less as compared to hdpi phones.see my signature to get a look at miui ginger bread in optimus one
so what i need from u guys is some testers, bug reporters adn some suggesters.if u are ready just reply to this thread.
here is 1st download test it and tell me if it boots.make sure to back up your current rom.anyone intrested in taking this project from here and is a good resizer pm me.refer to mdroid's android central..its the easiest way to resize.
Regards kssood.
Oh snap, sign me up for testing
oh snap! signed up
So tell me, how's the performance on them? Similar to CM7?
still beta!see my signature and click the miui banner to go to my thread.and give me the link for the most stable cm7 rom for yr device
Some users are reporting that RC1 of 7.2 works good.
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=RC&device=buzz
I personally use Build 14 (KANGed CM7 nightly by ErwinP)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22606301&postcount=2518
But if you're just looking for the stable version it's 7.1.0.1
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=buzz
this puzzled me more.....what do u want me to base it upon?
Can't say anything about 7.2, but the second link is working perfectly on my phone, so that might be a nice basis.
7.2 is working perfect for me not had any problems at all, and sign me up for testing. I loved miui v4, just a shame it doesn't work well enough yet.

Good idea Probably it's better to have a working gingerbread miui than a ICS Miui build with the same issues as in CM9. Thumps up for your work
Fine!!! Personnaly I love Miui. I want to test the rom but I'm a french and my english is too bad :/
I would also like to test it and 7.2 works great for me too.

Sign me up for the beta! I'll happily test/bug report and provide feedback, just like I've done for MIUI4, I'm also willing to reflash and try new roms.
hmmm, looking forward to this rom. id be happy to test it.

[Develpoment]x10 mini pro kernel 2.6.32

I have already posted something like this but i want to take another shot!!!
please dont complain...OR say "YET ANOTHER THREAD"
Backgroud:
As we all know x10 mini,x10 mini pro, and x8 are close brothers(or sisters you might consider ,well whatever)except ldpi, mdpi stuff (thats not a problem)
arm v6,etc,etc you know(im not in mood to find similarities,im getting late for my class coz of writing this thread)
well they have kernel 2.6.32 and we are stuck at 2.6.29
we can port it or whatever like use se x10 mini pro kernel sources...it wont be much problem....well they have real multitouch i know....BUT it should be ok
It might be simpler than porting cm kernel(well i tried it once...idiot me)
All Im asking that we need a team, kernel development cant be done by single one. We need a team that know SOMETHING(im not asking for proffesionals, even im a rookie)
Im in.What ya say guyz??
If you intersted then only post ...
Thank you.
Rahat
ask nobodyAtall , he is online now
I dont know whether devs will come up,we should atleast try on our own...just give it a try.there is nothing wrong in that...i think even baseband version is same(may be wrong)
Cmon guyz!!!
Yes,we need this indeed.

No you don't *need* this. It would be good for the way forward but it's not a requirement without which you can use ICS or anything.
I think a more practical question is what feature is really missed from newer kernel that is worth investing the time in order to get them ported? I don't see any right now besides the ability to actually upgrade.
Technically it's feasible but there is a lot of SEMC code that will need to be ported in order to have the phone boot. Not to mention having it work properly...
Remember that when SEMC started porting .29 for their devices, not so many things were done the standard way for android (like it is now) and also their experience was nil. Things have improved on their .35 release.
how about porting htc kernel from htc explorer ?
With same processor (600Mhz) and same GPU, maybe it works!

htc explorer is arm cortex v5=>armv7 architecture
Didnt the devs ported a lot of the features of .32?
If it would be easy nAa or the others will do it. But we dont need it as nAa said.
[Accepted] Anyway we only wanted kernel 2.6.3x to make our phone look like a high end phone
Yeah there arnt any changes between 2.6.29 and 2.6.32....
