Use Xperia without Sim Card?

Hi people
I jusr recently switched from my beloved HD2 and got an Xperia X10 locked to vodafone Spain
Is there an unlocking solution for this device already?
Is there a way to backdoor meanwhile and be able to use the device without the Sim Card? Since the sim card is not correct it just stands in emergency call option at the bottom and cannot access no syncing options
All help is sincerely appreciated!

i don't know how it is in spain, but can't you buy just only an prepaid simcard for vodafone? here in holland they are pretty cheap and no need to register your name, adress etc etc, just buy it in store here.

Yeah thats exactly what I did this afternoon, until theres a solution it will be fine. Anyhow I found a site link that for 15€ they send u the IMEI code.
Hope that does the trick

In xperia x10 is same Satio in Spain. It needs a sim card because don´t work.

Debranding the phone should resolve this issue with branded devices ,
but i update the firmware to generic version but without succes any advice

Unlock it and you will be able to use it w/o a SIM

Preordered mine on vodafone and received it june 25th, what network you with?
Hopefully this will get rooted soon i imagine the wildfire would run much quicker without sense ui

Ordered mine on Saturday and it came today

HTC Wildfire
Got mine yesterday and on whole I love it just can't get HTC Sync to recognise it as I think there is a option missing in USB connections or I just can't figure it out.

i was going to a shop today and came out with a wildfire for 0,13 EUR and my month plain is 80,39 EUR and with it i have 60 hours talk unlimeted sms/mms and unlimeted data with no limit

HTC just released the HTC Sync™for HTC Wildfire. I suppose this will allow you to sync with MS Outlook.

Got my wildfire on 3 a couple of days ago, and so far really impressed with the little beastie I love how everything just works on it, and doesnt need tweaking. With the exception of HTC's website. It doesnt accept my S/N to download the HTC sync for my wildfire and being able to sync with outlook/exchange is critical for me. Anyone else getting this issue?

Basically just posting this to say how nice tmobile is about giving out new phones. I walked into the store, told them my cameras autofocus doesn't work, showed them, five mins later they said my new one is going to be shipped asap.
Only bad thing is that I gotta root (again) my new one when it comes..

yes tmo is great with replacements, depending on the manager at the store you go to(and how good and loyal you have been to that store) they will sometimes even just swap it out right there in the store and you get a brand new one same day

[Q] HTC Wildfire branding question

Hi, im new to these forums but after much searching i have been unable to answer my question.
I would like to purchase a Wildfire for my wife prefered in white. The only reasonably priced one is from Tesco mobile on pay as you go for £179.00
My wife is currently on Orange and changing providers is not an option.
I have read how it may be possible to unlock the phone using codes, but what about the braning on the phone will i be able to remove this? Also if i have to install a factory configured ROM surely this will also remove the simlock too?
I have also read that the phones from Tesco are not always sim locked and wondered if anyone had any experience of this?
The phone is also avaliable from vodaphone for £126 but i know 100% this is sim locked and branded, so the Tesco phone could work out better if no unlock or debranding is required.
Any help is much appreciated!

It's possible to unlock the phone to any carrier, it'll cost about 15 pounds. To unbrand it you'll have to install the ruu from htc, there are links somewhere in the forum.

Carphone Warehouse (T-Mobile) UK, Recieved mine today

Ordered my HTC One on Friday afternoon, i revieved mine about an hour ago. . .
Must say too, I LOVE IT!!!
Question. . . does anybody have this handset on T-Mobile UK... if so, are you experiancing limited usage at the moment? i.e, not being able to send Sms, and not being able to use internet?

I know the phone should be set up for T-mo as it is their branded phone but perhaps log into the T-mo website, support, then send settings to the phone as a text. Perhaps tho factory settings are not correct.

I had to set up the settings manually the T-mobile Web site does not offer automatic settings for the One yet. You will need one APN for the Internet and one for Mms.

any branding mate ? start up logo , t mobile apps ? , simlock ?

Just to confirm to you all, my HTC One is not a Branded T-Mob phone, Standard Generic HTC One, I spoke to T-Mob and it wasnt fully activated their end, Because CPW Made a Booboo and put the wrong tarriff in, All working good now though!
Data works, SMS works, Calls Work, Everything works. . . Flawlessly!

And its not Simlocked. . .
