just a noob here on android.. i was on iphone b4.. but still have new ipod touch Which is the best then android crappy apps!..
anyhow i wanted to know is there a way we can get 2.2 on x10i so we can have multi touch on the dam phone! b/c SE will take another 1 year to release this...
anyhow which hd games u ppl use for your xperia?
Also did ya ppl note that any games that made for iOS and then made for android this quality sucks as hell like game "UNO" its quality is horrible. compare to Iphone version. android need to get more DEVs to make hi quality games!
all i have seen so far are crap quality.. in which i think android was a bad choice for me! b/c app market's apps are low in quality except few apps i currently have.

Also, Android 2.2 isn't going to magically make multitouch appear if the hardware doesn't support it.

Although I'm definitely not a fan of Apple and i-anything, seeing my friends' iphones and their neat apps and games, then buying my first android phone, I was really let down.
Android definitely owns in many areas, but there are just more developers who are willing to spend their time on iphones. If only google got their os out before apple...

Totally agreed.
The next Xperia even if it dont has a good design is a hardware upgrade of x1 with a lot of nice stuff like tv out, bigger screen accelleration sensor and so on.
It looks like also that it will have the same cpu like the x1 and that mean that we can run every XPERIA X1 ROM also on the next XPERIA Phone. For sure it would be also cheaper and would have a better quallity as we know it from se.
I dont know exactly why people say such bad things about the next xperia.
It looks like they dont understand some things.
If i had to buy a new phone the new Xperia and not the old Xperia would be one of my first choices.
I'm quite happy with my HD2 but would really like to have a better camera. Since X10 seems to be a real upgrade on this aspect I'm wondering if I can sync my Outlook Mail as I have on the HD2. Does anyone have this working well?

I've had an HD2, and yes it is may seem a better device because htc put so much shiny software on it...
- but the HD2 camera sucks
- the touchscreen of the HD2 is worse
- the X10's screen performs better in sunlight
- The X10 is better to hold in your hand (because of the curvature)
- The X10 is way prettier (subjective though)
- and I think the overall experience of the X10 is better.
(my stock HD2 with only spb keyboard installed needed a reboot a few times a week....my X10...never).
I am very happy I traded in my HD2 for an X10

I wouldn't say Winmo is trash but I believe Android is going to make great strides as a mobile OS.
I just moved from X1 with a custom winmo 6.5 (which is excellent thanks to Wild Child) to a X10 because I wanted to run Android for awhile.
It's only been a month but I am enjoying it.

To the OP, I just got rid of my HD2 and my x10 will be coming in shortly so I can tell you whether or not it was worth it for me so that you can judge your decision from there.

$600 to spend on a phone. Sure, I could have gotten an iPhone, but no, what did I get? An HD2. Why? Things can be done with this phone that the iPhone will never see. Multi OS capability? I hope this will make it to our Vibrants. Seems silly to make it exclusive when they could stand to make a lot more money selling these games to all high end phones.
EDIT: I read in an interview with Jack Tretton (on engadget I believe) that Playstation Suite is only for Gingerbread, and that it will come to the only phone available right now with Gingerbread, the Nexus S. So I don't think they'll limit it to SE phones, but we will need Gingerbread if we wanna get in on the fun.

yeah I read about this on cent or engadget a little while ago but from my understanding the it's only going to be able to run on Nexus S phones and the new dual core phones that are coming out. But either way it's rad and I hope they do end up making it work on the Vibrant
abd how come nexus s is different from my vibrant besides camera flash and lack of external sd ? if it runs on nexus runs on vibrant
The Nexus S runs Gingerbread while the vibrant officially does not. That's what people are getting at unfortunately. So unless GB is in the works by Samsung and carriers are actually going to push it through to the devices we may not officially see it. But we all have things like CyanogenMod which makes everything a bit simpler in the long run.

The HD2 is probably the best device available, proven by the amount of work the hackers, programmers etc have put into this phone, they have slugged there guts out making things work that was never supposed to.

There is MANY, MANY roms that work 99.9%. There is MANY, MANY roms that work 99.9% with simple tweaks/modifications.

The lack on Android, well firstly wrong there loads of Builds available, some have a few problems some have none at all so I cant really see your point here,
Secondly buy a Android Device if thats what you want.
The HD2 is probably the best device available, proven by the amount of work the hackers, programmers etc have put into this phone, they have slugged there guts out making things work that was never supposed to.

tut..... my only regret is selling the hd2... i brought a htc desire z because of the keyboard and couldnt afford to keep the hd2 cus i needed the money .... but ill get one again because there just such a good phone.... people get so drawn in by the iphone... i just dont see why...
Mate I dont post much but I saw this post and I gotta say, that's the dumbest reason I've ever seen for a person getting rid of a HD2. It is probably the only phone out there which can run almost any ROM so smoothly cus of its high end hardware and also cus the amazing devs who cook really stable and smooth roms for it. This **** is legendary.
Worst decision. Have fun sucking on Steve Jobs' balls even for a thing as little as sending a file via Bluetooth

Ha....sometimes i want an iphone ....think of the hours i could save not skinning, switching roms, tweaking stuff. Almost would seem freeing, boring, but freeing.

I dont have any bugs on my HD2 w/ Android, i had bugs on my Galaxy S with native Android....
learn how to flash and which ROM to use.
