Hmm.. Well anyway i have a Rogers Magic with 288Mb Ram, i was gonna get the mytouch but considering it only had 192mb, i said its not worth it.
2000 tmob u.s. employees were selected to recieve the myTouch a few weeks ago. im curious to see how many know the phone they have is capable of half the stuff it really is.

lol! well i was actualy at tmobile yesterday purchasing a screen protector for my Magic! and they didnt know believe me when i said the mytouch had 192mb Ram instead of the 288 from Htc!
but as far as i know, the phone itself is great apart from the ram issue. it has more flash memory so that people dont complain about there not being enough space for apps..and blah blah blah..
Another T-Mo champ here. They should be here if they are worth the title. Sad though, I think most are not. They just wanted the Phone.

Im one of the champions. We have a forum that we can only access from work computers. There have been references to this site. Thats how I found my way here. Ill be sure to soak up as much as I can.
Just downloaded the Sherpa app and it seems to work great.
Hey dru66, where did you get the sherpa download. can't seem to find it on my unit. Did it come with the las update, or did you actually have to install it?

i got the TP2 as well everyone at the store hates me, haha. one day ill have my Hero pimped G1, the next day ts the myTouch, and the TP2 the day after that, its great.
oh and about sherpa, yall should have got an email with a link to dowload it. i even put it on my G1, its a beta, but its pretty sweet, ill get the link in a sec...

could still be employees.. Some employees have had them for some time if they were testers.. Mine is coming under the regular employee shipments..

I guess there is a positive to every negative.
But i still think its nasty to see that.
This is why i couldn't work in a store lol. Someone came up to me with his pants like that i would laugh and ask if he was serious or was it a prank show. Then get fired for it

I've called 4 Super Centers now and NO ONE knows anything about this phone.
Further more they ALL have stated that they do NOT carry sprint ANYTHING in their stores?
Going to check more info somehwere.

You are going to have a difficult time finding a store that sells Sprint service/phones. Most stores do not carry anything Sprint at all, so you've just got to keep trying to call different stores to find one that does.

Im on a SWAC account and the SWAC people told me via email that i would be able to activate the Epic 4g you buy one at full retail price ($500). Now i just need to find a store to sell one to me off contract.
Well at least this answers my question regarding whether I can buy it at launch day as well via the new ERP. So good news for me. It may not be much of a discount but any discount is better then none.
What do you think it is going to be like on the 16th? When BestBuy says stuff like this

it worries me I mean because Id hate to be without a phone until I found an NS..I have 3 Bestbuys within 20 minutes of me and are pretty sure even if the demand is high enough for them to need to use a ticketing system. or maybe the supply is low? But either way If i have to wake up at 7AM to be there when they open I will

I think there will be a VERY tiny amount of people that actually know / are ready to buy the Nexus-S on it's debut date but one of the smart guys on here suggested going to a best buy that doesn't sell T-mobile handsets in order to increase your chances.
I'd say you would def be able to get your phone on the day of launch though

Yeah you'll be fine
I mean, in the entire 10 months I've had the Nexus-1 I've only seen one other person with it. Chances are it will be the same for the Nexus-S and you will get it no problems

ya ive only seen one person with a N1 as well but you forget the N1 was only sold online and not advertised at all...maybe we will see an ad campaign starting Monday

True, very true, good points. It wouldn't surprise me to see a TV advertisement since Google made that commercial with the view were your looking at the persons feet the whole time.
Im sure they will seeing as the N1 was a "marketing failure" but i really hope we dont end up seeing every other person with a NS...thats why i loved the N1, very unique
Personally, I think your chances of grabbing one are good. It seems to be very similar to the galaxy line, and if samsumg sold 3 million in the us, I know those folks won't be ready to shell out $600.00 four months later.

I am gonna ask my dad, to pick one for me from Cincinnati - Best Buy. There are 3 in cincinnati, I guess. I hope he gets to pick one after 3-4 days from there. Say by 20th December.
I stopped by my local best buys all of which dont carry tmobile and all of which have NOOOO idea about the Nexus and are saying they wont be getting it because it is a Tmobile device

Did you read their FAQ? They stated that they are currently spreading the news among all Best Buys. It just takes time and if the manager of the stores don't tell the employees, then expect to hear that from the employees.
The Nexus S doesn't have the popularity of the iPhone, so I'd assume supply/demand will just be fine. Possibly, a Best Buy located in a populated area would get more in stock than those that aren't. Just my guess.

I believe the ads are handled by google so figure if your searching for Nexus S on google you will get targeted ads, and this is a phone site so it makes sense

Ive been on the phone with Best Buy/NExus S Call center since 10 AM PST and up until 4PM I was told that they have no information that they can tell me. But then on one of my batches of calls they all told me the same thing, 157 Best Buy stores/Best buy mobile will be getting them.
But i was also told buy one of the reps, who i talked to for a good 45 minutes about the subject that they get new information every day and i should continue calling them because they give out info as they get it
He says that by the 14th they should have information as to what stores will be getting the NS.
Take it for what its worth, thats just the info i got from them . Just doing some digging of my own but i will be calling to see if there is anything new they can tell me and ill keep you guys updated if anything
You know, I really don't think it'll be out of stock. You should be able to get a piece easily.

So is it worth it to import? Because if I can come up with the money, I'd really like to do that. Then again, I kinda wanna see what will happen here in the US. I wonder if it will be a different version for each carrier again? It doesn't seem like they're making different models.

common man.. didnt you see what they did with the american galaxy s'.. they took out the front camera, they messed up the firmware, removed wifi tethering, put a bunch of crap on it.. you wont get the main roms, youll only get limited and very rare american roms, youll always be behind, and youll have to pay way more to get internet that will be limited, instead of the unlimited cheap internet you get if you have the international version.. the list goes on forever.. did you see the dev support the att/tmobile/verizon/and sprint versions had compared to the international version? go over there right now and check the number of posts in each section.. go with the international, youll end up saving money on internet in the long run anyway
btw checkout mobilecityonline if youre in the US, youll end up paying 699 after tax, after shipping, ect, so 699 out of pocket, and no international hidden charges
plus US isnt expected to get it for another 5 months..

their website says 2-4 day shipping, im hoping 2 but expecting 3.. i dont think anyone will see a 4 day wait unless you live on the country side.. i speak from experience, as ive lived in both the city and the country, and my city address always gets packages earlier than my country side address
