[TUT] HTC Mozart Bootloader Mode & Hard Reset - 7 Mozart Windows Phone 7 Development

Bootloader Mode
Not sure if this is news but in order to enter Bootloader mode for your HTC Mozart do the following (same as HTC LEO):
Power Off the device
Press and hold the volume down button and switch the phone on
Hard Reset
To Hard Reset your device perform the following (once again same as HTC LEO):
Power Off the device
Press and hold both volume up and volume down buttons while switching on
The hard reset screen gives two options: Restore defaults for the hard reset (volume up) and CRC check for the OEM software(?) (volume down). Any other key cancels

OK guys there seems to be a different version here in germany.
It has 16 GB storage and is sold by T-Mobile Germany.
... see pic attached ;-)

I am sure the SD card can be replaced but you must take the phone apart.

should be found to access the SD slot present in the mozart but it will not be easy finish with mono-block
if anyone has a solution we are all ears

I believe someone posted instructions on how to replace it. See the Mozart General forum. The SD cards should be class 4 apparently otherwise it wont work.

Hi. Have you or anyone learned WP7/this mtty/spl commands?
Take a look at LEO70 ROM (Cotulla/DFT HD2 Windows 7) using MAGLDR as this is very interesting:
Cotulla has created, after hspl in boot chain, magldr, which creates special nand partitions that strap a SIMULACRUM (LEO1000 MFG) SPL "emulation" which then BOOTS WINDOWS 7 ON HD2 (which I have now activated complete and am on LIVE!).
Point is: very interesting spl/simulacrum idea - having essentialy two spl on hd2.
I can talk to it completely using proper drivers and mtty drivers and do few things - but it is not real - it is simulation to allow strapping yet it could be reverse engineered and made into another "hspl" for all Windows 7 Phones I think.
phoenixtraveller said:
They do not ask you for any information - and even if they did there is ways to get around that.
PM me.
For all M$ ( MICROSOFT ) staff reading this: the fact is - we understand that you are a business and have goal of making money etc and locking down etc to ensure that BUT the simple truth is - really - WHATEVER security is EVER deployed = NEVER enough. SOMEONE will also hack it. Look at Xbox 1 and to quote Andrew Bunnie Huang (a friend of mine from MIT Artificial Intelligence)- security through obscurity never works. XBOX 1.1 security made things worse than 1.0. And the same goes for this: the REAL problem is that there is a LOT OF REAL HD7 PHONES AND OTHERS INCLUDING TELSTRA MOZARTS IN AUSTRALIA AND TMOUS AMERICANS which do have INVALID OEM DATA FLASH ONBOARD and the users legit require to bypass this error.
ps:
I am cracking/have almost cracked the formula (algorithm) for activation (using override method not per-live-address-guid-based) and thus far generated 2 new activation codes that work. Might release generator here if no prob with mods and devs.
Anyone know Microsoft official reaction to this all happening? HD2? LIVE?
$50 billion dollars= Windows Phone 7.
And the more overall critical issue is that Cotulla and DFT have just allowed a device to go onto the live services network in proper "xbox-live" protocol (tgs.xboxlive.com/as.xboxlive.com/nexus/passport/live) and thus - with hacks= anyone could play live games with UNLIMITED POWER/LIVES/MICROSOFT points.
Interesting.........
pps:
If you want to CLEAN your phone PROPERLY from WP7 etc then replace the data.zip file for LEO70 with 8 seperate part00-part07.bin files for all 8 partitions. You can also connect to the LEO1000 Secondary Program Loader simulacrum that Cotulla made - has contained in part03.bin I think from memory - and talk to it using debug commands, asserts, flags, symbols, code, as reverse engineered from dwi.exe/daf.exe and all the bins/layouts: note "wph" string in daf.exe and mtty commands that let you talk fully to this WP7 SPL - easily accessed by pressing vol down as per normal at 1234-5-6 point (not both)
Also intereted in/might begin working on the file-system for sd-card partition= truly unlock Windows7 forever and permanently. It is great to finally get this & LIVE!

I have a SIMLOCK by BootLoader ???

Hello,
I just view a strange option in my Bootloader.
When I boot my phone with CAMERA Button I have only one choice : SEND for fastboot mode.
If push SEND I have 4 choices :
CAMERA STEP2 HBoot mode
BACK Reset Device
MENU Power Down
ACTION Simlock
When I press ACTION (Trackball), I have this message :
SD init faill !!!
Reboot device?
BACK Reset Device
Can I unlock my phone with an SD card ?
On my énd HTC Dream I havn't that.
Anyone have this ?
Thanks.
I'm not really sure what you're trying to do here. The SPL/bootloader has **nothing** to do with the simlock. If you want to unlock your phone to accept other SIM cards you'll need an unlock code. If you're trying to downgrade to RC29/RC7 to root, the file needs to be named DREAIMG.nbh, but if your phone is not a US or UK phone you'll need to use a gold card method before the phone will accept the .nbh.
Yes i Have SIMLOCK on the bootloader, I have attach 2 pictures :
Wow, that is very odd. No idea then. My Dream was a 1xxxx I believe 2xxxx are continental Dreams...
Just a guess...
Maybe it is already unlocked and that option is for re-simlocking the phone.
Maybe it requires a special SD card/SD card setup in order to simlock the phone.

The HTC Tattoo has this too. No clue what it's for though...
My phone IS simlcked by Orange, I m sure,I test an SFR SIM card into the phone, and it' tell me the unlock code at Android boot.
But I have flash my SPL to change the ROM, and now I havn't thi menu. I have the same menu from my 2nd HTC G1.
I am not sure if this helps or not but I have the HTC Desire and i also have the simlock option and when you make a gold card and run the simlock option it apears to do somthing not 100% sure but here is the output
Code:
0: SD FAT32 init OK
0: Key-card
Wait for AMSS ready...
0unlock NV with SPC code
Pass/Fail/noresponce: 0/0/0
Write PRL to Nam0 (0/0/0)
Write PRL to Nam1 (0/0/0)
0: Set dynamic NV
Process done, reboot device
<VOL UP> Yes
if any knows what this does pleas let me know
I'm using the HTC Magic Plus from Rogers, and it has the simlock option on the bootloader as well. I never had the option on my old Magic, before they renamed it and "fixed" it, but I don't really want to just go pushing stuff, since this is my fourth free replacement I've gotten out of Rogers, and I don't think they will happily just replace this one if I trash it. I'm really curious, but I know that if I dust it, I am highly unlikely to get another without paying for it. Anyone made any headway on figuring out what this new option has been added to the more recent bootloaders is for?
Looks like we need some kind of MCC/MNC creator to fill simunlock stuff

[Q] MT3G 1.2 - Ultimate Fail

Hi all,
So last week I had a perfectly rooted phone (thanks to Universal Androot), and I was managing my ROM's with ROMManager. I had Cyanogenmod running fine (update 5.08 i think). I swapped memory cards because the one i was using had a lot of other files on it, and i wanted to move my apps to SD. Turns out that I accidently booted into Hboot, and that SD card had the SAPPIMG.zip that prevented touch screen interaction (from [theunlockr.com/2010/03/11/how-to-root-the-mytouch-1-2-and-fender-mytouch/] I had tried to make a goldcard previously without success using this guide)). I accidently flashed a perfected SPL (meaning i get remote:not allow when using fastboot flash). Because the touchscreen doesnt work, i cant even make a goldcard. I have followed other guides on how to make it with a windows phone, but the phone that i used (Vogue) was not recognized by both HTC Sync and PSAS/QMAT. So i turned to my own computer and looked through the registry...and found some random 32 digit key for my memory card when it was plugged in to my memory card reader. Apparently, I did something right with PSAS and it generated a goldcard image. It was saved as a file, so i renamed it to goldcard.img and put it on the now formatted SD. I got an engineering SPL (from [forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4332591&postcount=1]) and it seemed to load up fine in Hboot. However, at the end, i got the "Model ID incorrect" message. This is where my phone stands:
Sapphire Unknown 32B Ship S-On-G
Hboot-1.33.0006 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
Radio-2.2219.261
May 27, 2009 19:06:47
Any help on how to flash my phone onto a working (touch reponding) ROM would be greatly appreciated(either stock or custom, IDC)!
TY
Model incorrect error means that your goldcard isn't working. You got a friend with an Android phone that you could borrow to remake the goldcard? That would probably be your best bet.
Sent from my HTC Magic using XDA App
Thanks for the response!
Lol yeah. I realized that after I left (I dont have internet at home so I have to do all this stuff at the library). I don't think that any of my friends (the ones I've seen over the summer, anyway) have an android phone. I guess Ill just have to leave my phone as it is cuz I still have a working blackberry.
To add another twist into this fail, my dad works for T-Mobile. I made the mistake of telling him that I was hacking it, and now he refuses to let me repair it, saying they can track his employee number and find out that he bought it to begin with. T.T
Look around here or search for the Gold Card exe that works so much better at making a gold card.
I tried so many different MiniSD cards in my phone (3-4 2 gigs, 1 8 gig, 1 16 gig) NONE worked with the regular gold card creation method. I used the EXE one time on a card that didn't work before and it made the card no problem.
Thanks for the reply!
If you're talking about the GoldCardTool by Klutsh, I've tried that. The problem is that I cant enable USB Debugging because my touchscreen doesnt work and it wants me to touch the android to setup the phone. Therefore none of the adb commands will work.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

That sucks, so I also assume the trackball doesn't work for moving around?
lol
Umm, when I hold down the power button, the shutdown menu comes up, except that it only has powerdown as an option. I CAN use the trackball to click on it. However, if I use the trackball to select emergency dialer, it force closes.
If that helps at all...
More Fails Abound
Lol. I figured out why I could not make a gold card, and now I have one (I think). The reason I am not sure is because I still get Model ID incorrect. I think that the goldcard is made properly, because i can open up the memory card and see the EncFiltLog.menc. I have tried multiple methods (PSAS with a windows phone to make an image file; PSAS to get the SD card CID and then using the reverser and the revskills and hexedit to make the goldcard). I have tried this on two different memory cards (both have the EncFiltLog.menc) and both are recognized by the computer (which according to TheUnlockr, means they are working). Any solution as to why the goldcard isnt working?
Thanks
Final request
Could someone please just ship me a goldcard that they know works?
Thanks
PM if you can

[TUT] How to Unbrand / Debrand your HTC HD2 with PSAS Goldcard [2010-11-29]

Tired of waiting until your service provider releases HTC updates for your branded phone?
Here comes your step by step guide on how to unbrand or debrand your HTC HD2/Leo using a PSAS Goldcard.
(Thanks go to svc und oliverweidel)
Introduction:
What does a Goldcard do? Mark's post answers this best:
"All a GoldCard will do is bypass the carrier ID check when you attempt to flash a stock rom via the microsd card that you wrote the GoldCard to. A GoldCard [as such] won't unbrand your phone, that is only acomplished by flashing an HTC Stock Rom [with your Goldcard]. If you flash a carrier's Stock Rom [with your Goldcard] then it will still be branded with whatever that carrier added to it. That means that you have to use that same card everytime you want to flash a stock rom and you have to use the same method to flash it (via the same microsd card). It wont sim unlock your phone and it wont let you flash any other roms apart from stock roms".
Note:
If you experience problems:
- Check first whether you have correctly followed each step carefully
- Read the Troubleshoot Section below
- Search the thread for a similar problem
- Post a question (Please do not send me a PM with support requests but post them. Thank you!)

D.5. Boot to homescreen
D.6. When on homescreen –> Softreset
D.7. For more information, read the first page of the Artemis Forum
*** Troubleshooting ***
In case you experience a problem check these points:
1. Is your card a no SDHC Card? -> SDHCCards (all cards 4GB or bigger) often cause problems, especially many of the no- or low-brand cards.
Then, follow these steps again:
2.1. Format your card again, using a Windows PC instead of the HD2's card utility.
2.2 File System must be FAT32 and allocation unit size 4096 Bytes
2.2. Make sure your card has no name (no Volume Label).
2.3. Double check your drive ID. You need the CID of drive ID 07.
2.3. Double check your CID.
3.1. Download your HTC Stock ROM a second time.
3.2. Extract RUU_signed.nbh from the newly downloaded Stock ROM again.
3.3. Rename RUU_signed.nbh to LEOIMG.NBH.
3.4. Copy LEOIMG.NBH to your newly formatted and try again.
4. It didn't help? Post a support request on this thread with a detailed description of your problem and when it occurs.
Note: Do not send me a PM with support requests but post your problem here. More persons can help you and others benefit from it as well. Thank you!
Nice job pcwe! Hope this will help many LEO owners to flash the great Artemis v.40 by Sir sternas...
So, HSPL actually will not be neccessary to flash 3.14 Stock roms (SPL 3.03...)

No, HSPL does not go well together with Stock Rom 3.14/Artemis40.
But using Goldcard, you don't need to remove HSPL before starting. It removes everything on the device.
Howdy,
very nice thread!
One question:
HSPL will be overwritten through this procedure - thats clear as eggs in eggs - but will the stock rom from sd card start to flash without hspl?
Maybe stupid, but I thought, I read something about this somewhere...

Shinson
Thanks pcwe. The goldcard image you sent worked perfectly. I was able to install the stock 3.14 ROM on my Telstra HD2, and then Artemis v 40.0 ROM

A gold card comes with its own boot environment. Its only kicked on by your bootloader (whatever version) and flashes all: Your current bootloader, radio, OS etc. Aftewards you have an unbranded HTC device like one bought in shop.
I, yesterday, tried the "gold card-method", following step by step the tutorial.
But, unfortunately, flashing process stopped at "Os" level.
I went back to artemis V37, but i'll try again, perhaps sdcard issue ?
Thank you for your tutorial, pcwe.

Try formatting your card on Windows PC (it must be FAT32). Then insert it into the device, but do not format it again. Then follow the steps to get to your CID and send a PM for another Goldcard image.
Sorry but I'm just a bit confused why you created a thread with the heading as [TUT] which has no tutorial apart from a link to the artemis roms thread which then links to another thread that gives instructions on flashing via a goldcard (which has already been written a longg time ago). I commend oliverweidel on offering to make goldcards for members as I have made about 20 in the last 2 days and it does get a bit tedious lol.
Maybe you could just explain to me why this thread is labeled as a tutorial when it has no tutorial when its really just a link to a tutorial.. Sorry im not trying to be mean or flame this thread I'm just a bit lost as to what its propose is lol
Ohh and I'm on my phone right now using xda app so if something didn't display and I actually missed the proper tutorial then i humbly apologize for this post lol.

Thanks for your input. I'm glad you mentioned that you're working on your phone. Maybe I misunderstand what a tutorial is. When you watch it on a PC, though, you see a tutorial that includes 4 sections with a total of 43 steps (including 2 options). I only link to the PSAS page and to the Artemis' frontpage. So IMHO this is a tutorial. Since you are a very experienced XDA moderator, I hope you get to see the full thread and let me know what you think about it. I'm looking forward to receiving your feedback.
(And yes, I made 15 Goldcards over the weekend, so I'm happy we can share the load )
When I turn the phone off after following all the steps and hold volume down and press power button the bootloader screen laods but it doesnt load the LEOIMG.nbh.
At the bottom it just says 'Serial'.
What am I doing wrong? I have followed all the instructions.
Although maybe I didnt get the correct Goldcard image? I went to the psas website and clicked on 'Free Goldcard gererator'
You then enter your email and sdcard id and you get emailed a goldcard image. Does this one not work?
I also got the phone to format the sd card as it does format it to FAT32

Ok I have to apologise as I just viewed this thread on my pc and it shows the whole of your first post including all the steps and yes I would regard it as a Tutorial
For some reason when viewed on the xda app it shows absolutely none of your tutorial apart from:
A. Prerequisites:
1. Micro SD card (non HCSD that is
Softreset
7. For more information, read the first page of the Artemis Forum:

Maybe its all the quotes in your post but you can understand why I was confused when I first saw it lol
I may have to contact the creator of psas as ALOT of people are now asking for GoldCards and at the moment they can only be created with a paid for version of the program so if he has objections about using it to make goldcards for anyone who asks then it may have to stop. I originally asked him about 6 months ago for permission to make goldcards for members who had mistakenly flashed a stock rom via sd card whose spl wasnt covered by HardSPL (to get them out of a hole and allow them to flash a rom with a lower SPL). Looks like people are now wanting goldcards purely to change stock roms for which they should really be using a paid for version of psas.
I will try to get hold of him over the next few days and ask if he has objections to making goldcards for users who havent already buggered their phones up then I will let you know.
Keep up the good work

When I turn the phone off after following all the steps and hold volume down and press power button the bootloader screen laods but it doesnt load the LEOIMG.nbh.
At the bottom it just says 'Serial'.
What am I doing wrong? I have followed all the instructions.
Although maybe I didnt get the correct Goldcard image? I went to the psas website and clicked on 'Free Goldcard gererator'
You then enter your email and sdcard id and you get emailed a goldcard image. Does this one not work?
I also got the phone to format the sd card as it does format it to FAT32

That doesn't work, its for Android only (see the title of the page). You have to follow the instructions on the first page of this thread. You either need to by PSAS (Option1) or ask somebody that has it (Option2) to generate one for you.

WP7S Readme from leaked WP7S ROM!!

Sorry if this was wrong mods, but didnt think this would do any harm, im not leaking the ROM or MAGLDR 1.12, just thought it may be of interest to read the readme early
WP7S Readme said:
Windows Phone 7 for HTC HD2(LEO) by DFT
Windows Live:
Windows Live functions including the Market don't work.
To sync contacts/calendar/emails you need to manually set up
your Hotmail account. Using MS Hotmail Connector it's then
possible to sync with Outlook.
Hard reset:
During boot, when "1234" appears on screen, press and hold VolUp + VolDown,
until the message appears. Press VolDown twice to clear data.
SD Card:
The SD Card will only be available to the OS if it's inside the device during
its first boot. Removing the SD Card will destroy all user data
and a hard reset is required!
NOT all SD Cards are compatible with WP7.
If your card isn't compatible with WP7, it won't be used for data storage or
it may cause random reboots.
There's no list of compatible cards yet.
WARNING: WP7 will format the SD card during the first boot.
Two SD card partitions are created during cold boot.
First one is a 200Mb FAT partition and another one with unknown format which
is used as RAID with main memory.
Keyboard buttons mapping:
GREEN - camera key
HOME - launch search (Bing)
WIN - show home screen
BACK - backward
RED - power
LEO1024:
At current moment LEO1024 supported, but only 512 megabytes of NAND is used.

Roger that
I ran it for a couple hours.
Very nice and very smooth. Got Wifi and Data working, synced my Facebook and contacts via GMail.
I did not try the manual setup of Hotmail.
Overall this is a fantastic build. It's amazing to me how good DFT and Cotulla are.
I was bummed that I couldn't log into my Xbox Live Account, but hopefully that will come with time.
For now I'm sticking with my NANDroid build. I think I've gotten spoiled by Android over the past month or so, and I've become accustomed to it. The WP7 interface is really slick, but I'm a creature of habit and I don't know if I'd like it as much for daily use. I'm definitely going to give it another go soon. I just needed to be able to get online using my phone as a hotspot for the next couple days.

Anyone notice you can get into wp7 spl ?
Instead of 1234-5-6 hard reset just do spl-volume-down!
can even use THIS (leo1000-spl) to flash magldr.nbh!
Have extracted it too as a .nbh
can post if anyone wants it...

"new rom 2.00.000.0" = This is task29 = it cleans your NAND by flashing (in it's basic terms) an empty ROM.
Simply flash the winmo ROM you wanted, and for the above post: it probably stuck because you don't (or seem not to) have HSPL .(but how did you manage to do task29 without HSPL?)
Install HSPL if you want to experience the real HD2 .
Have fun!
Thank you it worked!!! DDDDD
No i just have to figure out how to instal nand android on it and wp7 dual boot and I'm the happiest person alive

Okay, First of all, stop thanking each post of mine ,Although I really do appreciate them, please only thank me when you're fully satisfied . (you're limited to five thanks per day anyway )
To not take so many posts, I will update this post with the information as I gather them . And I recommend using a non-sense ROM like CM7. (CM7=CyanogenMod7)
I have a tut written somewhere, I will go grab it, wait for me
Here is the tutorial for Tyween's CyanogenMod7 ROM:

What CyanogenMod7 ROMS have over Sense Roms:
*ULTIMATE SMOOTHNESS AND RESPONSIVENESS !!
*Very Customizable.
*Always Running the latest build of gingerbread (2.3.5).
*Stable and no lags.
*Very Small in size (only needs 150mb of your nand, the rest is for your data )
*Faster boot.
What Sense Roms have over CyanogenMod7:
*Very Eyecandy.
*Lots of (Really nice and good) HTC widgets and apps.
*(Sorry, but that all what I could think of ) (or maybe that's actually what all they have? )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 3:09 AM :
Sorry, I forgot you wanted to dual boot (Don't Follow my tut) !
Step 1 : follow this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nac3Fnf-lY4
Step 2 : When you finish Step 1 . (tell me when you do, also edit your posts so that we don't flood the thread with unnecessary posts )
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 3:20 AM
Okay, first tell me what device you have? European or T-mobile? And can you please tell me exactly what is written on your bootloader (tri-colour) screen?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 3:30 AM
From this information:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 8x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 8X50
You don't have HSPL installed because if it were installed it should've said :
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
------------- 0x00
Cotulla HSPL -- 0X30
I will look for a solution, wait for my update ...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update 3:34 AM
Okay, now you have a supported SPL(you have SPL 2.08.0000) to install HSPL from this link :

report back what happens...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some tips you might need:
*Never boot WP7 withou sd card in.
*All ROMs have HD cam, Live Services (must have code).
** Some threads that might help you get a code :
***http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928366
***http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=960849
*** (P.S. : Use skype to call them for free )
*Mango will be released soon (hope so) so make sure to get it .
*Make sure the Android build is compatible with MAGLDR (the thread will probably have the tag: [MAG] or [MAGLDR].
**Pick your sd ROM from here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=735
*It's easy to switch ROM's when using sd build, so you can try Sense and if you don't like it just switch over .
*Make sure the path is set in MAGLDR (you won't notice this if everything done correctly, However, sometimes it needs to be set manually, PM me if needed)
*NAND rom's cannot be booted from sd (duh)
Have fun
Yea great but i can't or i don't know wath the dude on the clip is doing when he's taking his sd card out ?
And can i do that without sd card reader with just my sd card in another phone?
Sent you a pm.
Instructions will be posted tomorrow
You need an sdcard reader, there are no other methods (that I know of) to partition your sd cards !
THIRD METHOD - USING A SINGLE SD CARD - HERE IS ANOTHER ALTERNATE METHOD PROPOSED BY XDA MEMBER HYELLOW (UPDATED)
1. Put your sd card inside the hd2 and power on.
2. Go to about screen, in settings, and reset your device. Let it reset and boot to WP7 again. While booting to WP7, it'll create the partitions it needs, so this is important. After you have gone through the setup wizard, go to about screen and reset your device again.
3. When it has booted into magldr screen, remove the sd card and insert into pc. (make sure that magldr is shown and stays there at bootup, otherwise it'll boot straight into wp7 without sd card and that is not what we want.
4. You'll see two partitions. A whopping 200mb of fat16 partition and the other is unformatted. Now right click on the unformatted partition and click delete. After that, click apply. Now you have unallocated space. Right click on the unallocated space and select create. Set parameters to logical and unformatted and size the partition. This will be your WP7 partition, so decide how much you want to allocate to it, this is permanent, no changes afterwards can be made. Also, make sure you move it to the end of the sd card in the same 'create' window. Hit apply. IMPORTANT When using this method make sure that the wp7 "unformatted partition" is larger than the Android partition otherwise the wp7 "unformatted partition" will move in 2nd place and you will not be able to resize the fat 16 / android partition.
5. Sit back and take a break.
break.
6. You now have a green fat16 partition to the left, some unallocated grey portion in the middle and your WP7 partition in modern turqoise colour on the far right. Agreed? Now remove the sd card from PC and insert in HD2.
7. After you have inserted the sd card, let it boot into WP7. Remember what your last action was when you were still in WP7? Yes, you pressed reset, so the device actually thinks he is still resetting the device. He might do it too, but just go through the setup wizard again.
8. Go to about screen and verify your storage. Don't look strange if when the storage has a different of about 1Gb, this is swallowed by WP7 for system stuff etc. Are you happy with the progress so far? Then power down your device and remove the sd card. Allow the HD2 to fully powered down as sometimes the screen is pitch black, but the device is still turning off.
9. Insert the sd card in pc and, using EASUS right click on the green fat 16 partition and select resize/move. Now fill up the rest of the unallocated space and hit apply. This is your android partition.
10. Format the sd android partition (not the whole sd card!) using EASUS to FAT32 using 32 or 64 kb cluster size and put an android build onto it and test.
11. IMPORTANT You need to convert the wp7 unformatted partition to primary for the sd android to see the sd card Use minitool partition wizard to do this. Right click on your WP7 unformatted partition and select modify and then click on set as primary and hit apply. Here is the link for minitool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=372
