Q: X2 Lockscreen hangs - XPERIA X2 General

Hi!
I have problem with lockscreen and locked phone.
When phone is in standby and locked and I'm trying to unlock it, it hangs in lockscreen. I can move slider to unlock phone but nothing happens and it just stays locked.
This happens sometime few times in one day and sometimes is everything ok for a week. When this happens I have to take out battery and put it back in and it's very very annoying.
Is there something to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Lock screen
I have same problem, but no solution yet

simple..just set a password at ur x2..and then,hola..it will not happen again..its also happen to me last time..almost everyday..

android lockscreen
Me simple installed android lockscreen, nice looking one, but no landscape(no problem for me), just search this forum if ya want

You can solved this problem by go to Start>Settings>Auto Lock> uncheck Enable Auto Lock. I have the same hang out like your. This way helpful for me. When you need to lock your phone just Start and tap on Clock icon.
Thanks

Disable automatic Today screen?

Does anyone know how to stop the Today screen activating when the device turns off/on? I often turn my Nike off when I need to do something else for a moment and I'd like to be able to immediately return to what I was doing without going to the Today screen and then into the Start Menu. Even worse if it's something under Settings I have to go through the menus.
I don't understand very well the problem, do you mean that, when you are in any screen, turn off the screen and turn on again it's in the Today screen?.
In my device that doesn't happens, if i turn off/on the screen, the device remains in the application, form, etc.. that I was.
Mine does the same as the guy above me .. only using sliding actions i go back to today screen
btw since I've installed sliding actions .. my phone connects to internet everytime I receive message or have had a phone call
dekoning, I used to have the Today screen activate on slide as well. I use Slide Actions to disable all slide actions. It didn't take the first time, but after a few tries it now is working perfectly.
After using MortPlayer, I've figured out that the Today screen is activated whenever the screen turns on.
carlosmozas, what ROM version are you using?
I had to hard-reset my device at the beginning of the year and this issue was gone. But it came back! It started happening last weekend, I don't have a clue what I changed to cause this.
I don't want to hard-reset again!

Maybe setting up device new and creating a backup (Sprite Backup or similar) is faster than locating the problem itself

Strange Alarm + Password Lock!

I got a strange problem this morning. I enabled the password lock (and so need to input PIN to unlock). I also setup an alarm to wake me up.
This morning the alarm did trigger but doesn't sound. Anyway in order to turn off the alarm I need to first input PIN to unlock the device, and then click "Dismiss". I clearly remember my PIN but when I input it, it say incorrect password.. I repeatedly tried several times (~10)... I was told I've too many invalid attempt and can't to retry unless input some default text.. at that time I was a bit flustrated and preparing for a hard reset.......
But before so.. I tried a soft reset to see if there is any green light... o yes I can re-try to input the PIN, and I can unlock it with the same PIN~~ o that's good but a bit worry the same case will be happened...
Does anyone get the same happened?~ I am using a 1.48 ROM...
with me the same, twice.
soft reset did not work, only removong baterry.
the samr rom 1.48.
best.
this happens to me about half of the time; for the first time in 15 years i can't use my phone as an alarm clock, really annoying
o yes.. actually I was removed the battery for reset but not the red reset button....
now that I have to disable the PIN lock to have the alarm back ... hope it will get fixed in later ROM...
ive been using a pin lock with Galarm since ive had the phone and it works like a charm u guys should try that out see if it works for you

it seems like this relates to left over notifications in the notification queue, so it's only appearing for users with lots of notifications.
i installed pmClean from http://www.pocketmax.net/redial.html and as long as i "Clean Notifications" every other day things are working fine again.
gAlarm wakes up at midnight to let the phone reindex the notification queue if I understand things correctly, so that would be an option - but i've seen some comments in this forum that gAlarm uses some battery, which is a no-no for me.

Unlock screen problem

I have a big problem,it happens once a day(it happend before MR1,with MR1,and with MR2). Cant unlock the screen, when I need to drag padlock left or right it just cant, padlock stays on the left or right side, I can get it back to the middle but unlock - NO (sometimes it promts for some ''unlock code'' but it is not usuall lock code, one REFERENCE it is NOT set to use a screen lock code). Only soft reset helps. Somebody have something to say???
hi
this is a strange thing you said, and i can't imagine what are you saying.
but try to set a unlock code and set the setting not to ask the code.
i can't tell the step by step cause i'm updating the MR2 right now.
I had similar problem after upgrading my X2 to MR1. It used to happen frequently.
Yesterday evening I upgraded my X2 to MR2, since then I have encoutered the same problem once.
Any solution?
that problem makes me very.........i cant use basic functions like answering the call when it happens. and that was happening to me also before i installed mr1and now with mr2.
I solved problem when set the device to promt for a pass when unlock, but when i turn off that option problem comes back. I must use my phone with that option turned ON or it will freeze every day.
Ah had this all the time initially, after MR1 it never happened at all.
In about a couple weeks of MR2 usage, it happened once. Hasn't happened again, but ever since then my sms alerts randomly become silent.
Guess MR2 is still quite buggy. I'm about to jump ship.
I've had a lock bug on the MR1 a lot but with MR2 i've only had it once (where it would tell me that my pass was invalid when it wasn't). A quick reboot of the phone and it hasn't happen again (thankfully).
Maybe every once in a while (every 1-2 weeks) give your phone a full reboot (pop out the battery, put it back and turn the phone on). Maybe that will keep you from getting it as frequently (maybe).
guys,
do you use Autolock activated mode when you see unexpected password to unlock prompt or when you can't unlock unit by moving bubble on the screen?
I sow this issue a lot of times - but it's interesting that I never sow this issue when unit is in autolock and in sleep mode, I receive input call and I see bubbles like Answer or Skip but I always can unlock my unit and answer or skip Call. Do you know anything about similar issues for other WinMob products?

Help! Several major issues on 4.3 (home button, SIM, lock screen)

My N4 was away to repair a broken screen. Got it back on Wednesday and it immediately updated to 4.3. All was well, except for one weird issue where hitting a notification from the pull down would take me to the app via the pattern lock. I put this down to having played with some lock screen settings in Setting Profiles app (trying to disable it in certain settings), but it might not have been.
I've done the first device restart today, and after rebooting there are a few big issues.
1. I don't appear to have any mobile network, though wifi is connected. I had a good signal before the reboot.
2. I'm not getting a lock pattern or any lock screen at all, and it's not asked for the SIM pin
3. Hitting a notification in the pull-down makes the 'lock' clicking sound as it takes me to the app
4. The home button doesn't work. I see a slight dim of the screen and it makes the lock click sound, but nothing happens. Back and multitask work fine
Help! Any ideas? Are they known issues? Can't seem to find any reference online.
I'm on stock, using Nova Launcher

Those are not any known issues or anything I have read since Andrid 4.3 came out. Try a factory reset to see if that solves the problem. If not, maybe the screen wasn´t the only thing broken on your device. Ask for warranty.
Thanks, will see how I get on this evening and try a factory reset if it doesn't fix itself.
Seems to be a weird problem related to the lock screen and when it should/shouldn't kick in...

Glad I could help.
Ok, I've done a factory reset. Not had much chance to play as it took hours to reinstall everything. But I've just had the word issue where selecting something from the notification tray (the setting profiles shortcut) took me to the lock screen to put in my pattern first, then took me to the app.
EDIT no pattern to when it does it, seems random and can be while I'm using the device, so the lock screen shouldn't kick in for any reason
Any ideas? Faulty device?

AT&T 4.4.2 Rooted Moto X unlocks after missed call

I cannot find a solution for this but the issue is when I miss a phone call when the phone is in my pocket, it automatically unlocks, and drains my battery.
I'm running 4.4.2 rooted on my AT&T Moto X, and I thought 4.4.2 would fix it. I do not have a screen lock
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hmm sounds like a strange issue...
You mean you don't have a screen pin/code/password, or that you don't have even the sliding unlock button?
Have a look in Settings > Display
What timeout do you have listed under sleep? The default is 30seconds, but it goes all the way up to 30min (which I would expect could definitely drain some battery...
Let us know and we may be able to help you further...

I do not have a password lock on my phone, Just the active display slide to unlock the phone. When a call comes in, I get the display to answer or ignore, but if I leave it go, it will just unlock to the home screen, then after a short time, the screen will shut off.
Thanks!

Ok, that is definitely not normal. Are you BL unlocked, or are you using the Pie root exploit? Or Safestrap?
I would suggest flashing the entire 4.4.2 AT&T SBF file using the manual method as described in the Return to Stock thread:
DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU ARE USING SAFESTRAP
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-moto-x-return-to-100-stock-using-t2446515
You will download the 4.4.2 AT&T SBF file from here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0
As I seem to be telling people often, the only way to fix a corrupted filesystem (OR modifications made by previous exploits like Pwn/SlapMyMoto and MotoWpNoMo) is to flash the entire SBF file. Performing a "factory reset" cannot repair a damaged filesystem.
Often, it will fix ALL of your problems.
Good Luck
Did you install any apps, that plays with those settings after rooting?
thanks for the replies guys...I don't think so on the apps after root. IIRC, it did this before rooting the phone, so I thought it was a 4.4 issue.
it will unlock to the home page after every call, unless I answer, or ignore the call.
I'm using Xposed with these modules:
App Settings
GravityBox
HideCarrierMotoX
MinMinGuard
SoftkeysFadeMod
Twisty Switch
Xblast Tools
XPrivacy.
Again, I do not have a lock screen..when I try to enable one it does something funky with my electronic buttons, even after reboot. Not sure if it's because of SoftKeysFadeMod, or what..
I'm surprised others have not had this issue.
Thanks for you help.

May I ask if I understand correctly? You have no security setting, only active display enabled. If this is the case, this seems like normal behavior.
You screen turns on when you get a call, you don't answer. Until the screen time out kicks in, you see your home screen.
Once it goes dark, you should have an active display notification.
What Am i missing or what behavior are you expecting?

you pretty much hit it on the head...I was hoping the phone's display would not unlock to my desktop if I miss a call, but rather show the missed call on the active display.
I'm going to enable a security setting, and see if this changes the outcome.
Thanks
After enabling the swipe to unlock, I no longer have an issue with my phone unlocking when I miss a call. That seems to be the solution.
Thanks for your help
